Description
The ultimate trullo house with private pool, magnificent surrounding nature and beautiful detail. Perfect for couples or a young family. This is a cosy and quiet residence close to Alberobello, perfect for hunkering down and enjoying a low-key holiday in the countryside with ample indoor-outdoor living space, private pool featuring a picturesque backdrop of the grassland and olive grove.A Sun-kissed and Protected Space.
This building speaks for itself, the natural earthy tones and abundance of natural light simply elevate its potential. The interiors remain faithful to the original, historic charm of the characteristic trullo, offering exposed stone vaulted ceilings in its typical organic shape.
Kitchen is surprisingly spacious and light for a trullo, with modern amenities in an otherwise rustic set up. The sleek contemporary style with cabinets and easy to clean counter space, is strategically oriented to capture views of the swimming pool and the surrounding landscape. Framing picturesque views of the pool, sun terrace, and olive groves.
This design choice is central to the "pool outlook" experience, dissolving the barrier between the interior living space and the outdoor relaxation area.
Both trullo bedrooms are cosy and uniquely intimate. Serene space, defined by characteristic
conical ceiling, thick stone walls, and a perfect balance of rustic authenticity and modern comfort. The ambiance is one of calm and retreat, a "cocoon-like environment" that encourages relaxation.
Thoughtfully decorated with high-quality furnishings and cozy bedding to ensure a restful night's sleep.
A space in Puglia both contemporary and antique.
Location
The location is semi-rural, situated a couple of kilometres off the main road of Alberobello-Locorotondo.
Alberobello, located in the heart of the Itria Valley of Puglia, is a picturesque and a fairy-tale-like landscape renowned for its unique combination of natural and architectural elements. It is a quintessential Southern Italian rural scene, offering a serene contrast to the more concentrated urban areas. The most iconic feature of the landscape is the widespread presence of individual trulli scattered across the fields and hillsides.
Alberobello is a great base for both trekking and cycling, particularly for exploring the scenic Itria Valley. While the town center itself is compact and hilly, the surrounding countryside offers a mix of easy to moderate trails and routes that weave through a picturesque landscape of olive groves, vineyards, and scattered trulli.
In the panoramic valley, lies the fascinating white hilltop towns of Cisternino, Locorotondo, and Martina Franca.
Locorotondo, whose name means "round place", is known for its distinctive circular historic center perched atop a hill. It is celebrated as one of the "most beautiful villages in Italy" (Borghi più belli d'Italia) and features narrow, whitewashed alleyways, local rectangular houses known as cummerse, and balconies overflowing with colorful flowers. It also offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding valley.
The largest town in the central Itria Valley, Martina Franca is famous for its stunning Baroque architecture, particularly evident in its elegant palaces and the Basilica di San Martino. The town has a sophisticated atmosphere, a labyrinth of winding medieval streets, and is well-known for its local cuisine, especially capocollo (a type of cured meat) and bombette (stuffed meat rolls).
Also listed among Italy's most beautiful villages, Cisternino charms visitors with its brilliant white buildings, low arches, and hanging gardens. It offers picturesque viewpoints over the Itria Valley and a lively summer atmosphere with local trattorias (often called fornelli or bracerie) where you can choose your meat and have it grilled on the spot.
