At the foot of the Sintra mountains and very close to the sea, the town of Colares, where it’s located, is absolutely delightful and has long been a very popular holiday destination.
The area is also a demarcated wine region, where the much-loved and nowadays increasingly rare Colares Wine is produced, which can be tasted at the “Adega Regional”, housed in a beautiful building in the centre of the village.
The coastline, near, is dotted with spectacular beaches that cater to all tastes. “Praia das Maçãs” and “Praia Grande” are among the most popular, offering not only beautiful sandy stretches but also excellent conditions for surfing.
The shores are surrounded by dramatic cliffs, providing a stunning backdrop for a day under the sun.

Wunderschönes Haus
By Ulrike (Germany) on 20-Sep-2025Die Lage vom Haus war toll. Restaurants, Supermarkt und alles Nötige fussläufig zu erreichen. Es war dennoch eine ruhige Gegend. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr gepflegt. Besonders hat uns der Pool gefallen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Owners are on site but do not use the pool when guests are there which is greatly appreciated. 4 minute walk to the supermarket for anything you forget or need. Clean, cozy, check in was perfect (thank you Paulo). Would definitely return.
