Leave ReviewA perfect retreat
By Ben Weedon on 23-Aug-2025We are a family of four, with two teenage girls. We stayed in a period of warm but unsettled weather. The house was a perfect base for us to explore Tuscany, from local villages and hot springs to a train ride into Florence for a day. We loved the house. It is grand and beautiful but still cosy and homely. When storms came we sheltered inside and watched the lightning roll on the distance. A storm blew the power one day but Paul and his property team were responsive and helpful. When the sun came out we played in the huge garden and pool, or sat under the gazebo. Evening barbecues were fun. Long, warm lunches, drinking the local wine and eating meat, cheese and fruit from the area, were fantastic.
Superb property
By Brenda O’Brien on 09-Aug-2025This is our 2nd time staying at this beautiful property in Tuscany. The location is perfect, set in an idyllic and picturesque area close to Cortona. This house is spotless and maintained to an extremely high standard, both inside and outside. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we required for cooking and the wifi was fast and reliable. We thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool and surrounding area, which was so refreshing, providing shade and a beautiful place to sit and relax. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful, answering all our questions efficiently and promptly. The wonderful Cortona is a short drive away as are the shopping areas in Camucia with lots of choice and variety. This charming property offers a place of peaceful tranquility and nourishment for the soul.
A perfect family holiday
By Charlotte Turner on 02-Aug-2025We had a really special week at Casale Burcinella with our 2 teenage children. The house was really clean and well equipped and the grounds are gorgeous - we loved relaxing around the pool with the stunning views towards Cortona in the background. Communication with Paul was great throughout and the local area guide he provided had some great recommendations for local restaurants. The location is great, you definitely need a car but everything is only a short drive away, we also loved the secluded location meaning our kids could be as noisy as they liked without disturbing anyone! This was our first time visiting Tuscany and it was just perfect, we will definitely be returning!
A beautiful place to stay
By Chris C on 05-Jul-2025We all loved this beautiful villa set in lovely grounds. So peaceful with lots of places to sit either sun or shade.. The villa is well equipped with all you need and easy access to shops and supermarkets 10 minutes in car. Cortona only 15 so again great for evening stroll and dinner. Paul was very helpful with any questions and quick response. Would throughly recommend and we hope to be back soon. Thanks Paul and Heather for a perfect stay.
A Tuscan Gem!
By Suzanne Forget on 31-Aug-2024Paul and Heather’s Tuscan Farmhouse is truly idyllic. When we booked their farmhouse we were looking for a villa: 1. Located near Cortona; 2. Large enough to accommodate 3 couples comfortably; and 3. With lovely outdoor spaces to relax after a day of exploring the region. Their villa exceeded our expectations. The villa is absolutely gorgeous and very well appointed and decorated. All three bedrooms had very comfortable beds and lots of storage spaces; the two bathrooms were modern with great showers; the living room had comfortable furniture; and the kitchen was equipped with everything needed for gourmet cooking. The house was clean and we were supplied with all the necessities to make our stay truly enjoyable. In addition, the bedding and towels were changed once a week. The outdoor spaces were outstanding. We enjoyed cocktails around the pool before dinner; cooking on the stone BBQ; dining and lounging in the outdoor dining/living area; and spending many hours cooling down in the pool. Just a beautiful quiet garden setting. In addition, laundry facilities were on the premises. The information guide provided by Paul and Heather was excellent. We used it every day to plan our activities. Minor issues were rapidly resolved and communication with Paul and his local service providers was the best we’ve had. Everyone was very hospitable and gracious. We highly recommend this property. Thank you Paul and Heather for making our stay with our friends truly magical. Suzanne and Linden
A TUSCAN GEM!
