Perfect time in Costa Merlata...

By Roman E on 12-Jul-2016

Roman E. said... 12 Jul 2016 Perfect time in Costa Merlata... Date of Stay 6 Jun 2016 The house offers all you need! Specially the space outside is nice. We've enjoyed to chillout there and have a glass of wine while our littel one was sleeping peacfully inside. Also the nice town Ostuni is very close by. Best is to have a car during your stay to explore the sourroundings. The communicaion with Marji was very polite and helpfull. We definately reccomend to stay there! Thanks Marji. Roman&Nadja with little Levis :-) My Response So the new gazebo ( 2016) provided shade, space and comfort - and great views - fabulous. While being close by your little one at siesta/evenings - that's great. Delighted that you enjoyed a relaxing holiday - from memory that was quite a challenge when my children were very young. I think having everything to hand in the house, and all you need for beach days, beach a few steps away, your own private direct beach access is the answer.

A slice of Italian heaven!

Sarah D. said... 17 Jul 2013 A slice of Italian heaven! Date of Stay 19 Jul 2012 Helpful votes: 1/0 I stayed at the beach house as a single mother with 3 small children under 6 years old for 10 days in July. The house was beautifully decorated, equipped and luxurious and provided the perfect and most relaxing escape from it all in the rustic and rural location of Puglia. A lot of attention paid to detail ensured we were never without any modern amenities and were more than comfortable the entire length of our stay. The view, surroundings and atmosphere was just what I was looking for and the beach house exceeded all expectation. It was paradise and a real delight for all of us! I was specifically looking for a property with no pool due to the danger it presents with young children. Being located above the beach and part of a very relaxed and traditional old world village without the same health and safety concerns I am accustomed to, the need for close child supervision and firm boundaries to be set was important but no different to any other holiday I have had elsewhere in the world. A typical day would be spent around the house and garden in the morning with the afternoon and early evening being spent at the award winning beach a stone's throw away. The beach is spotless and the water beautiful. Being a bay, the children were able to swim safely without current or waves. Life guards were on duty as well for added peace of mind. We had no need for a car as there is a local convenience store next door stocking all essentials required. Only on one occasion did we venture out into the nearby walled city of Ostuni which is well worth a visit. All in all, this holiday has been one of our best yet. 5 stars and not a single complaint from us! Thank you very much! My Response Thank you Sarah. What a treat having you guys at the beach house. Lovely to see the children glowing with energy and loving the beach...... And their wee faces when they shared that giant beachtowel after the outside 'sand-off shower' - brings back memories. Hope to see you guys back at the beach house another time. Know you found it relaxing.Sarah, think the chilled out, laid back approach to life in Puglia really suited you. Hugs to your gorgeous three little ones, they were so good at adapting to Puglian pace; play, sleep, play, sleep..... Two days in every one! Marji
