Apartment 302D Dunas Douradas is situated on the original Dunas Douradas development, south of Almancil, in the centre of the Algarve's "Golden Triangle". This part of the Algarve is one of Europe's top family vacation areas. The sandy beach is just seven minutes walk away, with glimpses from the terrace. Seven top class golf courses lie within ten minutes travel, including Vale do Lobo, San Lorenzo and Quinta da Lago. The area has over 120 restaurants (at last count!) ranging from inexpensive to Michelin starred - all within a fifteen minute drive. Faro airport is less than thirty minutes away by car.
With two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and parking immediately outside, it is ideal for families or adults. The first class on-site amenities include tennis courts, swimming pool, toddler's pool, snack bar, restaurant (Xenia) and small shop, all within 150 yards. Plenty of sunbeds and space surround the pool (refurbished in 2021), which has a lifeguard on duty during the busiest times. In the summer evenings there is often a BBQ or similar by the pool. 24 hour security is provided, plus a reception area open during daylight hours. The apartment is on the first (top) floor and reached by outside steps. It is NOT suitable for guests unable to manage stairs.
The fully equipped kitchen has Bosch and Siemans appliances, including oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
The main bedroom has a kingsize double which can be (on request) divided into two singles. Fitted wardrobes, chest of draws and a dressing table complete the furniture. The en-suite bathroom has a walk-in shower, toilet and washbasin, heated towel rail and underfloor heating in winter. The second bedroom has two singles, and plenty of storage space with fitted wardrobes and draws.

In the living room is a dining table for four, sofas, coffee table and the 200 channel TV which includes Sky Sports and all mainstream UK TV channels. The surround sound system uses Bose speakers. For winter, there is a superb wood burning fire with a glass front. The wifi hub is situated here too, with high speed unlimited access.
Through sliding glass doors you step onto the terrace which has a sofa, dining table and chairs plus a gas BBQ.
The apartment has recently been refurbished and boasts a/c (to both bedrooms and living area).
I would thoroughly recommend you hire a car for your stay. Taxis are available, and not too expensive, but for sheer convenience a hire car makes sense.
Included in the rental price is all electricity, linen change once a week, and towel change twice a week. Good quality pool towels are also provided, these have to be washed by guests. We have superb local management agents, who, if something goes wrong, can normally fix the problem within hours and not days! They can also arrange a cot or high chair (at extra charge).
