Description
Carob Lodge is an elegant, comfortable, well-equipped complex. It consists of a bungalow, an annex (Ottoman area), a large pool, numerous terraces and balconies and a secluded orchard. It is situated beside the owners’ vacant villa. The area is paved and landscaped and enclosed by attractive walls and railings. Behind the garden there are pine trees up the hillside. In front you can see carob and olive groves under which sheep, goats and sometimes a local donkey may graze.
You can relax by the large pool or on one of the many terraces and balconies and take in wide vistas of the sea and mountains or watch the spectacular sunsets over the Mediterranean around the extensive grounds. There is plenty of parking space.
The bungalow sleeps four. The two bedrooms each contain 2 single beds or, (when combined), a king size bed. Each bedroom has its private entrance and sea views. There is a shared shower room and galley kitchen.
Enjoy the large adjoining terrace with a BBQ, table and chairs facing the sea. Here the energetic can work out on the TRX exercise straps or can go upstairs and relax on the swing or have drinks facing the forest or eat overlooking the pool. The possibilities are endless.
This terrace connects the bungalow and the enclosed Ottoman area with its well-equipped inside kitchen, living and dining space. Here you may cook, eat, wash clothes, watch TV or borrow one of the many books and games or simply sit or lie on the plush upholstered ottoman which leads directly unto the pool.
The very large pool area with its sun loungers and a wide range of garden furniture can be flooded by different coloured lights at night. Enjoy a massage under the cascade from the water feature. For further luxury, sit on the large, covered swing sofa by the pool. Dangle your feet in the pool’s seating area or swim surrounded by the sea and pine forests. The extended pool terrace moves seamlessly to the front of the house. Here sit on the lounge suite of another balcony and gaze at the sea or watch the sun go down.
Carob Lodge with its pool, secluded orchard, terraces, and landscaped gardens is situated in a unique idyllic hillside location with unobstructed views of the Mediterranean Sea and pine forests. For the energetic it’s within walking distance of the fine local beach, restaurants, supermarket and the friendly, lively village of Esentepe. Alagadi’s turtle beach, the celebrated Korineum golf resort, Kyrenia (Girne) town, Bellapais Abbey and St Hilarion Castle are a short car ride away.
The climate is almost perfect. Although it can be hot in the summer and have rain in the winter, the warmth and sunshine all year round are a real treat for those of us living in the UK. There is something to suit all tastes and all ages from relaxation to sporting activities to cultural and historical exploration to inexpensive wining and dining, all in the friendliest of settings.
