A completely private property (like a small fenced stone village: a ‘’BORGO’’ in Italian) embedded in a natural unspoiled Mediterranean landscape with stunning views of the neighboring island (Itaka, Lefkas, Meganissi, Scorpio)
The 2 traditional Ionian-style stone houses are spaced sufficiently apart (total area of 5100 sq meters) and the architect perfectly took advantage of the sea front lengthy landscape, to ensure privacy.
A superb Mediterranean garden was created with 150 trees and flowers planted, keeping the old olives trees and their natural beauty and shadow.
The style:
The Italian owners, have used their exquisite taste for detail to magnificent effect in dreaming up this sophisticated and stylish property.
Minimal colors white and beige are dominating. Splash of bright ethnic color (rugs, cushions…) create a very hip elegant style.This particular touch turns this property into a concept and not just a place to stay.

Fantastic
By Philippa Cheer on 30-Sep-2025We recently stayed for a fantastic week in early September at Casa di Clo with our 2 adult daughters and their boyfriends. We had never been to Kefalonia before and can highly recommend Fiscardo as a very pretty harbour side town. We rented a car which was worth doing.The location of the villa was spectacular - we had 180 degree views out to sea and over to Ithaca. Loved just watching the boats go by. The villa is well designed and suits a multi generational group with lots of space to have time together or on own. We enjoyed the pool and the great poolside sofa seating area with shade when you want it or not.Dining outside was a pleasure too.We walked into town along a well marked foot path through the ruins of a Byzantine basilica and a pine forest , arriving into the harbour which is very picturesque. It’s a 10-15 min walk and whilst you do need to take care walking - it was very doable. We would walk into town for supper and get taxi home for 7 euros, rotating which young couple walked back!Loads of great restaurants in Fiscardo. Local beaches like emplisse which are walkable through the next door hotel were really lovely too. We swam off the Lighthouse rocks which was a short walk away. If you have a car you can drive to Agia Jerusalem beach where you can hire 2 sun loungers and umbrella for euro20 for day - fab taverna on beach too. Our fav restaurant with breathtaking views was the Alati all day beach restaurant. Book a sunset table - food delicious and stunning sunset. We also rented a boat for 6 people for the day from Regina in the harbour who provided cool box water and juice. We took our own picnic and spent a wonderful day sailing to Ithaca and back along coast to Fiscardo, stopping to swim in bays and boys jumping off the rocks! Even saw a sea turtle. Easy to use boat and everyone’s highlight of the holiday - not to be missed.The whole Il Borgo team were a pleasure to deal with.All in all a memorable wonderful holiday. We will be returning!!

By Guy Andrews on 04-Dec-2023We come to Il Borgo for two weeks every summer. I spend the other fifty weeks of the year in various states of dreamy excitement as I look forward to that reunion. The place is enchanting. ..it's raining here in England (what a surprise) and I'm thinking about the villa right now.. Owners Walter and Elda are charming and generous hosts. Agent Catherine Marmet presides over our family when we stay. She is a delight: unfailingly attentive to even the silliest of our needs, and possibly the most stylish and efficient person I've ever met. You should go. As long as you don't go when we want to go.. Six stars.
Il Borgo
By Arthur Martha on 04-Aug-2024Villa is quirky and lovely featuring 2 lower ground bedrooms which were nice and cool when it was so hot. The pool level had the most amazing view so for many days we just chilled out watching boats go by. The owners, agent, handy man and cleaning lady were all so kind and generous even when we managed to lock ourselves out and break a light (so, so sorry). Everything, the pool, the showers, the space, have I mentioned the view, were amazing. And for those with children - the wifi was great
