"When we first met owners John and Salvu they told us it had taken 6 years of intense work to build Panorama. It was certainly worth it! Panorama takes luxury design in a Gozo holiday home to a whole new level.

Built into the side of a cliff, Panorama’s views from the extended pool terrace take in miles of lovely countryside scattered with villages that eventually meet the sea. Sunsets are spectacular and best enjoyed with a glass of wine and the tempting aromas from the outdoor BBQ and outdoor kitchen with wood burning oven.

The standard of furnishing is exquisite. The ground floor has a sophisticated living space with a large central state-of-the-art kitchen – the sort of place in which you’d expect to find a celebrity chef; and the sort of kitchen you wish you had at home!

The room fills with natural light from terrace doors that stretch the length of the living space and project images of the outdoor pool and its superb views.

Downstairs you’ll find an inbuilt bar and additional kitchen facility and another attractive lounge. Large glass doors reflect the indoor pool like your own private blue lagoon or Roman bathhouse. It’s heated for out of season use which when combined with the underfloor heating makes Panorama an excellent (and palatial) winter retreat.

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

Ground Floor

A key feature is the modern rounded island kitchen which uses its outer curve as a bar with stools. It brims with the latest range of kitchen gadgets while the dining table takes advantage of full-length windows overlooking the pool and Gozo beyond.

The lounge is generously equipped with leather sofas and a large flat screen TV satellite DVD player and Wi-Fi.

Two bedrooms are on the ground floor. Bedroom 1 is a large room with a double bed walk-in wardrobe and a shower room en-suite. Bedroom 2 is a generous space finely furnished with lots of wardrobe storage. Ceiling windows provide a great source of natural light.

Lower Level One:

Down a few stairs, you will discover a second lounge with leather settees and another flat-screen TV with DVD player and satellite. A second smaller kitchen is well equipped with a hob fridge and oven complemented by a freestanding bar with stools. At night ceiling lights give the room a cosy seductive feel.

Full length sliding glass doors reflect the blue of the indoor pool an impression magnified by the natural light. Marble columns create an impression of a Roman spa while cleverly placed windows reveal the outdoor pool on the patio level above.

Beyond the indoor pool, an archway carved into the cliff rock leads to a patio with table and chairs. A perfect place from which to soak up the pretty garden the sound of nature and the spectacular countryside views.

You will also find Bedroom 3 with twin beds and a large family bathroom finished in dark marble one this level

Bedroom 4 is reached via steps from the indoor pool terrace. This canny bedroom has a twin role with the villa’s own home cinema.

There's also an en-suite shower and discreet wardrobe space.

Lower Level Two

Take stone stairs to the lowest level of this luxury Gozo holiday villa to find the exquisitely designed cellar-style dining room. This is a clever touch as it is encased in the natural rock into which Panorama is built. Floor spotlights give it a seductive feel and showcase its stone arches and pillars.

LOCATION: Xaghra

Xaghra’s village square has a range of cosmopolitan restaurants and a buzzing café atmosphere. It’s a great place for a hearty meal or a light snack and just as good for people watching. The square is just an easy 5 to 10 minute walk. Panorama is also within a short distance of the island’s main summer resort of Marsalforn with its excellent swimming spots restaurants bars and bustling summer crowds. Marsalforn is 1.2km from this Gozo holiday villa. Xwejni Bay is 3.3km away.

Ix-Xwejni Bay and Qbajjar Bay are both easily reached through Marsalforn or i|-{ebbu!. The two shallow bays are right next to each other with small pebbly beaches and rocky stretches leading into clear blue water. Locals and visitors alike enjoy the bays’ excellent swimming and there’s good diving to be had especially for beginners. A few fishing boats are based here too and there are a couple of bars and restaurants on the sea front.

Xaghra is also home to unique prehistoric temples which are the oldest standing structures in the world. Together with the burial grounds close by they’re a magnet for historians and archaeologists from all over the world.
