"Open the front door of this Gozo holiday villa and you’ll be met by sunlight streaming through 2 large arched windows and the terrace doors that lead to the outdoor pool. The effect magnifies and brightens the indoor space with the pool casting rippling reflections on The Arches’ walls.

You feel immediately at home here. I certainly did being completely won over by the superb furnishings the contemporary design and those limestone ceiling arches that give this Gozo holiday villa its name.

Step outside and the full glory of the Gozitan countryside makes its presence felt. The tiny village of Kercem makes for a peaceful secluded base but the beaches of Xlendi and Dwejra Bay (with its famous Azure Window) are close by.

PROPERTY DESCRIPTION

Ground floor:

The ground floor is open plan with an L-shaped sofa complemented by a partner two-seater and large flat screen TV with cable. The dining table seats 8 and is served by a state of the art well-equipped kitchen.

A downstairs WC is convenient for the living area.

First floor:

Stone stairs lead you to the first floor where you will find all four bedrooms. Two of these have balconies with great views over the pool. The master bedroom is a double with an en-suite bathroom. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have twin beds. Bedroom 4 has three single beds. You’ll also find a separate shower room on this floor.

Outdoors:

The large pool is the focal point of the terrace which overlooks the glorious Gozitan countryside. A perfect spot for enjoying peace quiet and the occasional lazy BBQ

LOCATION: Kercem

The Arches Kercem With a population of only 1,700 people Kercem’s peace and tranquillity are practically a given. The closest beaches are Xlendi Bay (3.4km away) and Dwejra Bay. The latter is where you’ll find the famous Azure Window.

The local bakery is found in 500m. The closest restaurant is La Stanza in Triq l-Imghallem Victoria in 2.3km although Kercem does have a number of snack bars. .
