Bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms
The villa features two double and two twin bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms. All bedrooms are air conditioned, with vaulted ceilings and generous storage space. French doors in the bedrooms lead onto a balcony spanning the entire length of the villa, affording panoramic views of the Corfu channel and Albanian mountains. The master bedroom includes additional space for a cot and a futon for younger children, enabling the villa to accommodate 8 adults and 2 young children. The bathrooms for the two double bedrooms have been recently upgraded and feature "hotel style" walk in showers and the remaining two bathrooms are being refurbished for 2026.
Living space
Downstairs, the open plan living space features a kitchen with an island breakfast bar. French doors provide access to a covered veranda with comfortable seating and dining areas. Retractable insect screens have been added to this area to create an outdoor space in which to eat, drink and relax, free of uninvited flying guests - extremely useful during the summer months. Starlink high-speed internet is available for those wanting to stay in touch with friends or the office, or stream movies.
Swimming pool
The private swimming pool measures 10m x 5m with depth from 0.5m to 1.9m, and is surrounded by a generous patio. Pool access may be restricted via a gate at the top of the veranda steps. to the pool. In the early and late seasons, an air source heat pump takes the chill off the pool water, raising it to a few degrees higher than it would otherwise be.
Servicing
Our ever helpful and fully bilingual property manager, Natushka provides a meet and greet service together with a complimentary welcome pack containing essentials. She and her husband Yianni are available throughout your holiday, to assist with any problems that might arise during your stay. The villa is serviced twice weekly; bed linen, bath towels and pool towels are provided.
Changeover days
During the months of July and August, our preferred changeover day is Saturday, with lettings for multiples of seven days, though we may be able to provide some flexibility depending on previous bookings. In May, June, September and October, there is greater flexibility on changeover days and the length of the holiday period. We may also be able to offer discounts to smaller parties who prefer the space and amenities of a larger villa.

Plentiful cutlery, crockery, glass ware and serving dishes enabling you to prepare to enjoy a grand evening dinner. A separate snug room includes a smart TV allowing you to enjoy your favourite subscription channels whilst away on holiday. The dining room, with its circular marble table, is perfect for cooler evenings or late night card games. There is a ground floor cloakroom (toilet & hand basin) and a utility room with washing machine.
Gardens
Majestic olive trees line the entrance to the grounds surrounding the villa. The gardens around the house and pool host a wide variety or Mediterranean plants. The poolside patio has sun beds and a large umbrella providing shade from the midday sun. A pergola, set slightly above the pool area, provides a quiet space if you need a bit of 'me time'. There is a BBQ to prepare a sumptuous supper and a table tennis table to work it off the following day.
Dining out
The area is well served by excellent tavernas serving delicious, freshly cooked local dishes. Cavo Barbaro and Taverna Avlaki are situated below the villa on Avlaki Bay, where you can dine overlooking the sea. There are water's edge tavernas in Agios Stefanos, (Eucalyptus, Kaparelli, Galini and Kochili) and two cocktail bars (Damianos and the Wave Bar). There are many more tavernas and bars in Kassiopi (Tavernaki, Petrino, Little Italy, Vasilikos pizzeria, Wave Bar and Harbour Bar). Alternatively take a water taxi from Agios Stefanos to Taverna Agni for a memorable evening. The White House Restaurant in nearby Kalami provides a fine dining experience in the former home of Laurence Durrell.
Supermarkets and shopping
Local supermarkets are only a five minute's drive - Yannis Market in Sinies provides online shopping and will deliver to the villa. There is also a local bakery and fish shop. Larger supermarkets in Kassiopi and Acharavi (20 minutes drive on the North coast) offer a wider selection of goods and include delicatessens and butchers counters. The High Street in Kassiopi has a good mixture of traditional tourist shops, high end boutiques, jewellery shops and a chemist.
Beaches and other activities
Hiring a motor boat is a fun way to explore the idyllic coves that are the signature of North East Corfu’s beauty, made famous by Gerald Durrell's books. Stop for a swim off the beautiful beaches of the Erimitis headland, then head down to Kalami, Agni or Nissaki for lunch. Kerasia beach, possibly the most beautiful beach in Corfu, is reached via Agios Stefanos where there are sun beds, a drinks bar, and fabulous taverna, enabling you to spend the whole day there. Agios Spyridon, a slowly shelving sandy beach ideal for children, is only a short drive along the North coast. Most beaches have paddle boards or kayaks available for hire. Aqualand, a water theme park in the centre of the island, is a great day out for children and adults alike.
Walking
from Kalami to Kassiopi there are some beautiful walks either along the coast or, for the more adventurous, across the hills. Early May is a wonderful time as the wild flowers are in full bloom and its ideal walking weather. "All Trails" and "Corfu Paths" provide further details and walks closer to Aurora are included in the joining instructions. We can offer reduced rates for smaller groups in May and September.
Car hire
Although all amenities are close by, car hire is strongly recommended to get the most from your holiday. Most international firms are represented at Corfu Airport with local firms close by. The drive to the villa along the coast road takes about one hour. Hire a car with a high wheelbase of a small SUV which will ride the uneven surface. Alternatively, a private transfer to the villa costs approximately €80, and a local firm will be pleased to deliver a hire car to the villa.
Travel to Corfu
Corfu is well served by flights from most UK airports. There are many friendly boutique hotels in Corfu that provide an ideal way to extend your holiday by a day or two in order to appreciate the beautiful UNESCO world heritage old town, or to match the sometimes rather demanding flight schedules. Try Hotel Bella Venezia, Siorra Vittoria or Cavalieri Hotel.
Registration and taxes
The property is registered for holiday rentals with the Greek National Tourist Office, EOT licence number 0829K10TK8213001.
There is a tourist tax (€15 per villa, per night in 2025) which is in addition to the rental price. A separate invoice will be issued for this tax.

Leave ReviewA paradise nestled in the hills of North East Corfu
By Tom on 27-Sep-2025This was our second time staying at Villa Aurora as a couple and once again our stay was a delight. The setting is perfectly peaceful, spacious and beautiful. It's also in reach of plenty of amenities for varied entertainment. The villa is equipped with everything you need. Kitchen utensils, a washing machine & a BBQ are just some of the examples, which make the place a home from home. Highly recommend for anyone considering Aurora. As above, we stayed as a couple, but no doubts this would be a wonderful spot for a family (or 2), as many of the other reviews demonstrate. Thank you Charles & Elspeth for having us. PS Charles is a pleasure to deal with, and very prompt with communication. The same can be said for house manager Natushka. Thank you again!

Tom, glad you enjoyed your second stay and are wanting to come back next year too. Thank you for your kind comments about the team always appreciated.
Great location for families or friends to holiday
By Owen B on 03-Sep-2025We have now stayed here 5 times and each time some aspect of the villa has been updated which is always a nice surprise. This time there was a new bathroom and kitchen. It’s clear that Elspeth and Charles, the owners, really care about the experience people have. The weather was very good for our September stay and it was great to be able to swim both in the pool and the sea.
Fabulous villa - highly recommend
By Debbie Jones on 09-Aug-2025Yet again we had a wonderful holiday in this lovely villa. It’s beautifully equipped in every way. The views just take your breath away! Kassiopi is a short drive away and is a charming village. Everything you could possibly want is a short drive away.

Thanks Debbie, pleased you and the family are still enjoying the villa after all these years.
Aurora August 2025
By Chris on 19-Jul-2025The first and perhaps most important element of this review is to confirm the owners complete attention to helping us have a fabulous holiday. They were friendly and attentive in the booking process, helpful and accurate in all ways. Aurora has a wonderfully private, spacious, homely feel with a large kitchen lounge area looking out over a nature reserve and beyond that, over the sea and the Albanian mountain ranges - which are breathtakingly beautiful. The rooms are comfy, well appointed and very clean. The pool is a very good size and was put to excellent use frequently. We would not hesitate for a moment to rebook.

Many thanks for your kind review, especially of the owner. Its great to be able to chat with potential guests prior to booking, unlike some of the other booking sites that restrict communications. We are pleased that you had a good holiday and look forward to your return. Charles
Another great stay at Villa Aurora
By David Bennett on 28-Jun-2025We went back to stay at Villa Aurora in June this year which was our 6th visit to the villa and what a surprise to see a new kitchen and many other updates around the Villa. Charles and Elspeth really look after their lovely villa and it's so nice to coma back to a well kept home rather than a holiday rental. It makes such a difference. We had a fantastic time with the kids who all had a ball. The pool was centre stage this year, we were all straight in the pool on our return from the beach. Highlights this time was a boat trip from Agios Stefanos an some lovely meals in Kassiopi and Agni. Looking forward to coming back again in June '26 :)

Hi David, Thanks for the review. Glad you liked the refurbs. June is probably the best moth to visit. I hope you and your friends enjoy your trip next year.
Perfect in every way!
By Louise Lear on 05-Jul-2025We really loved our stay at Villa Aurora - we were 2 families and the layout worked very well and we never felt on top of each other. Great that all bedrooms are air-conditioned and ensuite (with teens in the families I think we all appreciated that!). The villa and grounds were immaculate and everything we needed was provided. We loved evenings playing ping pong or playing card games in the seated area adjacent to the house with mosquito screens! Charles, the owner, was very helpful before our trip and sent lots of really useful information from restaurant recommendations to car hire etc. Particular highlights of our holiday included: hiring a boat in San Stefano for the day and stopping off at various points on the coast; every meal at the Taverna on Avlaki beach was a delight (I'm still thinking about their beetroot salad); and San Stefano had a nice buzz in the evenings. We enjoyed a couple of lunches at the Taverna at Kerasia which was very good value and the beach is sheltered. Slightly more pricey was an evening meal at Agni but it felt very special being picked up by the water taxi. Last but not least, dinner on the beach at Eucalyptus (San Stefano) is a must! I made several visits to Delfini (a shop in San Stefano) for lovely gifts and souvenirs to take home. The little supermarket about 5 minutes drive from the Villa was great and we got everything we needed there. The track from the villa to Avlaki beach takes about 20 minutes to walk - we did it once but the track was quite rough and not ideal for young children or anyone with mobility issues. We just jumped in the car and explored! We added a 2 night stay in Corfu Town at the end of our holiday (at a hotel recommended by Charles) which we all enjoyed and prolonged our stay on the gorgeous island of Corfu (in Corfu Town - lunch at the Sailing Club accessed through the Old Fortress was a real find - lovely food, not busy and reasonable). Thanks again Charles - we will definitely be back!
