My word we had a fantastic week at Villa Kalliste. We were met at the airport by Denise & Vin who brought us straight our hire car for us to follow them to the stunning villa. This is the forth time my wife and I have stayed on this island in the last 4 years and on this occasion we were joined by my parents and my wife's aunt. Each room at the villa was exceptional and the outside spaces were all beautiful. We ate out for lunch every day and then returned to the villa each afternoon and then BBQ'd because we very quickly realised there was no were so special on the island then the place where we were staying. The villa was always spotlessly clean, the kitchen was fully equipped. The pool was wondrous and as for the views..... I used to look forward to waking up just to take in that morning view across the bay and to watch the eagle catch and enjoy its breakfast. You feel completely tranquil in the villa and there was more than enough room for the 5 of us. When you did feel the urge to leave, there were lovely beeches not far away and every town had a lovely taverna or restaurant tucked away somewhere. The main town is only 20 mins way then for a further excursion it is only an hour to Assos and a bit further to Fiskardo, both of which are must see's. But do not try to do too much. Just kick back and enjoy your wonderful stay at the villa.
Villa Kalliste more than met our expectations. The owners and their staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful! The villa is in probably one of the best locations on the Island. The pictures do not do justice to the comfort and attention to detail to make your stay a real home from home. Really well equipped kitchen, very comfortable and beautifully furnished bedrooms and luxury bathrooms. The outside space is comfortable and practical but at the same time it has had the same meticulous attention to detail in its planning as the interior and with its spectacular views, beckons you from sunrise to sunset! The whole place was spotlessly clean. The Island is beautiful and the local people charming. The beaches, both locally and further north were among the most breathtaking that I have ever seen, ranging from beautiful secluded coves to bigger beaches with spectacular approaches! The local restaurants served great home cooked local produce at really reasonable prices. The locally produced organic white wine beats many much more expensive wines I can think of! I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Villa Kalliste again or to recommend it to family and friends. Congratulations to the owners on managing to create this little slice of paradise!
You know from the moment you are greeted at the airport by owners Denise and Vin that you are going to have an amazing stay. The high service level and attention to quality and detail is a real point of difference. The Villa itself is stunningly beautiful and waking up to that view everyday, well I didn't want to leave. There is so much to do on the island and the location is perfect for exploring (very private yet central). I would stay at this property again without hesitation and will be recommending it to anyone and everyone.
