Villa Theos is located in Lakithra meaning beautiful view and the villa is surrounded by olive trees and vines whilst set in an elevated position enjoying stunning views of Argostoli Bay and the surrounding mountains.
It is only a ten minute drive from the airport, but shielded from the flight path. The island’s capital Argostoli with its numerous shops, bars, restaurants and facilities is also only a 15 minute drive from the villa.
Villa Theos is just a short walk away from the village's tavernas, bars, bakery and shops and Carrefour and Lidl food stores are just a short drive. If you love the sand and sea then you will be no more than a ten minute drive from some of the island's best beaches such as Avithos, Ammes, Minnies and Makris Gialos.
Villa Theos offers a high standard of accommodation. The air-conditioned property comprises a large open plan kitchen/dining living area with 2 French doors leading on to a covered veranda with numerous seating areas and a range of sunbeds and deck chairs arranged around the private pool. In addition the garden features an alfresco dining area with BBQ. The garden area is well stocked and amongst the abundance of flowers there are numerous fruit trees and herbs all of which are available to guests when in season.
The modern kitchen is fully fitted along with a dining area for 6 people. The spacious living room has 2 sofas one of which is a sofa bed. A separate toilet is also available on the ground floor.
Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms; one double and one twin bedded and both with en-suite shower and toilet. Both bedrooms have a veranda with stunning views over the mountains and Bay of Argostoli and are furnished to provide a tranquil alternative whether enjoying breakfast, tea or that early evening glass of wine.
Villa Theos offers plenty to keep you occupied including a selection of books, games and DVDs in addition to a a Firestick and smart TV to stream your favourite programmes. Free wifi is provided should you wish to remain connected during your stay.
There are now flights from the UK 6 days of the week from various airports, check Skyscanner and On the Beach websites. Ryanair, Thomson and Easyjet are amongst the airlines that fly to Kefalonia, or you can fly all days of the week from Athens. There is a ferry from Brindisi, Italy direct to Kefalonia during July & August and ferries from Italy via other islands and mainland Greece during other months.
Some of our guests have enjoyed 2 centre holidays, staying at Villa Theos then staying in the North of the island, perhaps Sami, Assos or Fiscardo.

Villa has heat/cool air-conditioning to lounge/dining area and bedrooms. Villa is suitable for all ages. Pets not allowed. Smoking is only allowed outside the villa.

Outside there is a private tiled 7m x 4m pool with marble surround. Large patio area between pool and villa with ample space for 6 sunbeds. There is a barbecue area and a dining table with 6 chairs. Citrus trees and varied shrubs surround the periphery of the well maintained garden. There is ample car parking space inside the gated driveway. Mosquito nets are on all widows and patio doors.
Utility Room with washing machine, iron, ironing board.
Towels and bed linen are provided on arrival and a midweek towel and linen change is provided. Beach towels are not provided.

The villa has everything you want for a perfect holiday and Debbie and Keith were very helpful with local knowledge. Lakithra is a lovely Greek village with a bakery, superb patisserie and a couple of tavernas. We had two great nights in Mascelero, short walk from villa, listening to live music. Great holiday and would love to come back and see more of the island. Thanks again to Amanda for all your help and congratulations on a beautiful villa.
Excellent villa, returned 3 years in a row
By Luke E on 09-Apr-2016This is an excellent villa within a great location. I have returned 3 years in a row. It holds sentimental value as this is where me and my fiancée proposed and we use it every year to enjoy a relaxing week in the sun. It's in a great location with one of the best cake shops just around the corner (I normally have a different flavoured ice cream every day) and many restaurants within a 10 minute drive. Clean on arrival and kept clean throughout the week by a lovely lady called Debbi who can give you hints and tips on where to go. Pool is clean and refreshing on the hot days. Our favourite beaches are Avithos and Lassi being a 10 minute and 15 minute drive away. Our favourite activity is seeing the turtles in Argostoli harbour enjoying an early breakfast. I always recommend Villa Theos to a friends and have taken family members with us who have also enjoyed it. James and Amanda are a wealth of knowledge and I have found that they would help out with as much information as they can provide of where their favourite restaurants are and where they recommend! Looking forward to heading back next year and thinking about using it for a relaxing week after our wedding!
Fabulous villa
By Shiela S on 14-May-2016Beautiful villa, everything necessary for a brilliant holiday was provided. The outside space was amazing with lots of different seating areas to catch the sun at different times of the day including table & chairs, sun beds & seating in a sheltered area for cooler days. Just a few minutes walk to the village with a couple of tavernas & bars, a bakers, cake shop & mini market. Lovely pool although too cold to use much in May, would be better when it warms up later in the summer.
Excellent villa
By Julie C on 27-Jul-2015Had a great holiday at this villa, very well furnished, equipped and clean. The views from the upstairs balcony are superb. Amanda & James, the owners, provided lots of useful information. The village has a minimarket, bakers, patisserie and 3 restaurants and 2 bars, Argostoli, the capital, is only 15 mins drive. Would have no hesitation recommending this villa to family and friends.
Home from home
By George P on 06-Jun-2015Review for Villa Theos, Lakithra, Kefalonia Early in June 2015 my wife and I, my younger son, his wife and their 20 month old son had the pleasure of spending a week in Villa Theos, Kefalonia. Owned by Amanda and James Evans, Villa Theos is located in the village of Lakithra, approximately 15 minutes drive from the airport and 20 minutes from the Kefalonian capital, Argostoli. Villa Theos is not a holiday let, it is an extremely comfortable, well appointed and superbly furnished home. Both en-suite bedrooms have their own balconies with a view down through the valley to Argostoli in the distance, and overlook the well maintained private swimming pool. In addition to a completely self contained and fully equipped kitchen, there are also two outside barbeque areas. Lakithra boasts several excellent restaurants and one is spoiled for eating places in Argostoli itself. (Our favourite was “The Captain’s Table” on the waterfront, where both food and service were outstanding). One of our everlasting memories of this holiday was the friendliness of the local Kefalonians. Without hesitation, we would readily recommend Villa Theos to any discerning holiday maker looking for “home from home” accommodation on one of Greece’s prettiest islands.
Fabulous Villa!
By Rachel B on 31-May-2015Villa Theos is a mere 5 minute drive from the airport, yet not in flight path so extremely quiet. Within walking distance you have a couple of bars a local taverna, local shop and a beautiful little restaurant cooking all home grown goods. Within a 5 minute drive you have a Lidl supermarket and also a local supermarket, although the villa is extremely well stocked on arrival. Argostali is approx a 15-20 minute drive and taxis are very easy to book and reasonable into the islands capital where you have the harbor and an array of restaurants and bars! I visited for a week with my mother and brother, the villa would be ideal for couples and families a like. It is fully equipped to stay in for the night and have a bbq or head out to a variety of restaurants. It is extremely peaceful sitting by the pool in the day and on the balcony in the evening. There is a castle and local winery in driving distance, Kefalonia is a beautiful island to explore. The Villa is a home from home, beautifully decorated and even has the owners own art work adorning the walls. We will definitely return!
