We had a wonderful time at the villa with our teenage daughters. The villa is beautiful and private and very well equipped and clean and a welcome pack was much appreciated when we arrived late. The pool and private outdoor area is beautiful and a relaxing spot. Lardos is a 6 minute walk at most and has ample shops, a gorgeous bakery and some great restaurants, Valantinas was superb. Highly recommend the Greek night if you are around when it's on, its a great atmosphere and full of locals. It's a ten minute drive into Lindos which is gorgeous and definitely worth a visit at night for the rooftop restaurants (booking recommended). Thanks to Karen and Ray who look after the villa locally for their help and to Steve and Norma the owners who are great hosts,
Villa Helios 5/5 Stayed 2 – 16 Oct 2021 Gavin and Vanessa As with previous comments the villa is lovely, clean and airy with all you need. Great location to Lardos and exploring the island. Lardos is easily walkable and tried out all the tavernas and used the little bakery (road off from main square) lovely bread and yummy biscuits. West coast is beautiful. Not many beaches and quite a rocky coast, but did find Limni beach which is sandy and not well known or populated. Did lots of exploring Rhodes. Old city is lovely. Lindos is a must, but get to the Acropolis early (opens about 8), before all the coach loads arrive. Charaki Bay is lovely and the Feraklos Fortress is lit up at night. The ancient ruins at Kamiros are very interesting and worth a visit. Driving around the main road around the island and the many routes inland there is plenty to see and do. If you’re out exploring the island can recommend – Artemida House Taverna just outside Psinthos -speciality – slow cooked goat. Visit Monolithos castle and Cape Fourni and then Old Monolithos Taverna in village, run by an elderly couple – good homecooked Greek food. Mama Sofias in Rhodes Old City is popular but do lovely steaks and their meat, fish or Greek Mezze platters are great but huge!! Rhodes is a beautiful island to explore with the bonus of coming back to a great comfortable villa and pool to relax!! Karen and Ray are very helpful and seeing Ray most days he’s given us lots of pointers on places around the island and as we did on his advice – just take a track off the main road and you’ll find an empty beach – swim shoes needed but worth it. Thanks for a brilliant holiday.
Villa Helios Stayed 7 – 18 Sep 2021 A totally impromptu visit to Rhodes in order to avoid the traffic light system coming back from Turkey … but what a find! The villa is amazing and perfectly located near a bustling village with everything you could need. Lindos and the Acropolis were fantastic (but get there early). Lovely beaches within a short drive and plenty of other great places to visit with a car in the surrounding area. Thank you to Karen and Ray for their help and tips.
