Description
Villa Dell’Angelo is an elegant and historic Tuscan residence, set in a peaceful position among the rolling hills on the western slopes of Mount Albano, just 250 metres above sea level. The villa offers an authentic, refined atmosphere, curated by the owners over the past 50 years with remarkable antique pieces, ensuring every space tells a story. Florence, Lucca and Pisa are all within easy reach, making this a perfect base for exploring Tuscany while enjoying complete countryside tranquility.The outdoor areas are designed for relaxation and scenic living. The magnificent infinity pool (8m x 16m, depth 1.35–2.50m) is reserved exclusively for guests and features a generous hydromassage area for up to eight people. A spacious sun terrace surrounds the pool with umbrellas, loungers, tables and chairs. Close by is a dedicated children’s corner, and below the pool you’ll find a peaceful stone seating area with an antique marble table — ideal for enjoying long Tuscan evenings.
Inside, the villa blends timeless elegance with modern comfort. Antique doors, Persian rugs, and historic architectural details create an atmosphere of refined charm, while contemporary features ensure total relaxation. A private well-equipped gym, hydromassage facilities (including Jacuzzi bath and hydro-showers), and a Turkish bath provide a luxurious wellness experience, allowing guests to unwind in spa-like comfort without leaving the property.
The owners’ passion for Tuscan heritage is evident in every detail. The spacious lounge and dining room can seat up to 14 guests and features views of the garden and pool, while the traditional Tuscan kitchen includes a historic marble sink and fireplace alongside modern appliances.
On the ground floor there is a cosy sitting area, a stunning kitchen, and a double bedroom with direct access to a covered veranda overlooking the hills and pool, perfect for outdoor meals. There is also a bathroom combining antique features with a contemporary shower.
A stone staircase with a 17th-century wrought-iron bannister leads to the first-floor bedrooms. The master bedroom has its own bathroom with Turkish bath/shower and a beautiful view towards the illuminated medieval village of Monsummano Alto. A second double bedroom overlooks the valley, olive groves and pool, and shares a bathroom with the third bedroom, which has twin beds that can be converted into a double on request. This bathroom features a Jacuzzi bath, shower, chromotherapy lighting and aromatherapy. All rooms retain original cotto floors and exposed wooden beams restored with great care.
Guests enjoy a wide range of modern comforts including air conditioning throughout, Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, mosquito screens, baby equipment, a gym, Jacuzzi bath and Turkish bath.
Entertainment options include Bluetooth speaker systems, satellite TV and Netflix. Outdoors there is alfresco dining, a BBQ, playground, table football and beautiful views.
A welcome basket with a light dinner is provided upon arrival, along with a continental breakfast on the first morning. A mid-week cleaning service with bathroom linen change is also included, along with bath towels, pool towels, bed linen, a cot and highchair.
Monsummano Terme with shops and supermarkets is just 2.5km away. Florence airport is approximately 35 minutes, Pisa airport 40 minutes, and Siena around 90 minutes.

The property can also be rented together with neighbouring Villa Roncovisi (sleeping up to 19 guests). The two villas can be connected on request, making them a wonderful option for large groups and wedding celebrations. Although the villas sit beside one another, thoughtful landscaping and design ensure excellent privacy when rented separately.

Villa Dell’Angelo enjoys a privileged location in the heart of Tuscany, making it an ideal base for exploring the region’s most celebrated cultural and artistic treasures. Within an hour and a half, you can reach the vast majority of Tuscany’s world-famous historic centres.
Guidebooks are provided in the villa, and the owners are always happy to recommend itineraries and hidden gems. Nearby, the thermal towns of Monsummano Terme and Montecatini Terme offer restorative spa experiences and elegant Belle Époque charm — Montecatini was once favoured by artists, singers and composers including Verdi and Puccini. Within approximately 30 minutes you can also visit delightful local towns such as Larciano, Lamporecchio, Vinci (birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci, with both his home and a museum to explore), Buggiano and Buggiano Colle, Svizzera Pesciatina, and Montecarlo. For day trips further afield, Lucca is only 25 minutes away, while Pisa (50 minutes), Siena (1 hour 20 minutes), and the Cinque Terre (about 1 hour to the boat at La Spezia) are all within easy reach. Throughout the summer months, local towns host lively festivals, antique markets, and traditional food fairs celebrating regional specialities — ask the owners for dates and suggestions to make the most of these authentic Tuscan experiences.

Exceeded our expectations
By Sian on 12-Jun-2016The villa was as lovely in person as the pictures indicated. We were greeted by the owners who could not have been lovelier and helped us with any need we had. The grounds were exquisite with 5 outdoor settings for relaxing and eating and enjoying the beautiful vistas. The pool was exceptional-spotlessly clean with a Jacuzzi and plenty of comfortable chairs and a view that would take your breath away. The bedrooms were large and the bathrooms modern. The location was ideal lending itself for easy day trips to interesting sights within the area. We can't wait to make a return visit.
Dream holiday

Everyone enjoyed the view, loved all the little touches, the antiques and enjoyed all the tips you gave us on food choices. My one-year-old Isabella may not remember it in 30 years, but she will have the most amazing pictures of her young journey forever. Thank you for making our dreams come true! Perfect Villa location with Amazing Pool

The property is in a perfect location to visit the towns of Lucca Montecatini Terme, Monte Carlo, Bolgheri and Florence. Bedrooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. American washer and separate dryer. Pool and the outside grounds were amazing. Meals outside in the front of the property were perfect for sunset viewing. The owners Alessandro and Anna were lovely and professional. We could contact them during our stay if we had any questions or concerns.
Excellent Villa and views
By Kacim on 23-Aug-2018We stayed at the Villa for 2 weeks and we had the best time ever .The Villa was very spacious and well equipped .The 360 views were superbe and the pool amazing .Alessandro was very friendly and extremely helpful .We will be back in the very near future as the location was ideal for sightseeing ie Pisa, Florence, Sienna etc.
Sensational Villa Experience

The villa was so beautifully appointed with fine furnishings and ever so comfortable with great attention to detail. It was further enhanced by the garden setting with a huge pool. As it was a birthday celebration we availed ourselves of the wonderful catering of Lisa and Christian. Stunning menu, food and service.
