A really fabulous place for a family holiday - I could have stayed forever! Beautiful views, a fabulous pool and a great base location for exploring the Eastern Algarve. Mary and Treasa could not have been more welcoming or helpful but not intrusive in any way. The house is spacious and comfortable and extremely well equipped - everything you could possibly need is here for you. The beds are comfortable, the showers are great and the aircon is effective and rarely needed as the houses are cool even on the hottest days. There are lovely views from all the patios and a shady spot to be found at every hour of the day. The gardens are full of wildlife for kids of all ages to discover. A perfect haven for a family holiday away from the hustle and bustle. A car would definitely be a requirement but everything (including many excellent places to eat) is within a very short drive. I will definitely be back.
We stayed in this wonderful Casa and had the best time ever. Casa Maria is a beautiful and homely traditional Casa, the best place we have ever stayed in the Algarve. It has everything we needed, the kitchen is well supplied and the place is comfy and surrounded by beautiful gardens. The view from the patio is absolutely stunning, looking out across the country side to the ocean. We all loved the swimming pool and exploring the surrounding countryside. It's a short drive to the town, which has everything on offer and only 15mins to the beach. Can't wait to return and stay in this wonderful place again.
We absolutely loved it here. It's a beautiful place to stay, the traditional casa felt like a home, so very well restored and has so much character and charm. A great place to stay with our two children. The gardens that surround the casas are full of flowers and the large trees shade you from the hot sun. The pool is an excellent place to cool off and the kids loved it so much, they learnt to swim. The view from the garden is incredible, you can see over the land, right out to the ocean and behind you is the mountains. Everyone here is very welcoming, we really became very settled and enjoyed chatting away to them by the pool. The local beach is 15 minutes drive, it is the perfect place to swim, as the Ria Formosa is very safe. You can go out to the islands on the other side of the Ria Formosa, to see the ocean and play in the waves. The local town has good supermarkets and the kitchen in the casa is great for cooking in, with gas hobs and electric oven. There are a few good walks you can do straight from the casa and there is plenty of good mountain biking too. Wish we could of stayed forever.
