Description
Located in the wonderful town of Olhos D'agua, walking distance to all amenities and only 30 minutes' transfer from Faro, Villa Lucia is perfect for a family holiday, for groups of friends, or couples who just want more space.We are pleased to offer flexible stays with changeovers available on any day of the week.
Where possible, we’re also happy to accommodate early arrivals or late check-ins.
Villa Lucia is a traditional Algarvian villa over two levels, restored and kept true to its original style with a few modern twists. There are five en-suite bedrooms: one double bedroom on the ground floor and four bedrooms on the first floor.
KITCHEN
The newly-refurbished kitchen is fully equipped with an American-style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer-dryer, microwave, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, oven, and induction hob. All crockery, cutlery, and glassware are supplied for a great cooking experience - just add the food! The kitchen has a table which seats six.
DINING AREA
The villa also has a formal dining area, adjacent to the open-plan sitting room, with a large dining table with seating for 10, and a sideboard equipped with dining and tableware.
WC
There is also access to ground floor toilet with wash hand basin.
SITTING ROOM
The spacious open-plan sitting room allows all guests to sit comfortably and features a built-in fireplace with woodburner for cosy Algarvian winter evenings; firewood must be pre-ordered in advance for winter stays. There is a reading library and a selection of games to enjoy.
There is a separate lounge area with comfortable sofas, and a large-screen smart TV with cable channels, and wall-mounted electric heaters for winter.
BEDROOM 5
On the ground floor is a double bedroom with a large birchwood king-size bed (160 cm x 200 cm), a dresser, mirror, and two bedside tables with lamps. The private en suite includes a walk-in shower, toilet, bidet, and vanity unit with a washbasin. This bedroom opens directly onto the swimming pool terrace and has side access to the kitchen and the rest of the house.
A beautifully crafted wrought-iron and marble staircase leads up to the second floor and the four remaining bedrooms.
BEDROOM 1
The Red Room, is a double bedroom with a double bed (145 cm x 200 cm), two bedside tables with lamps, a large dresser with mirror, and full-size built-in wardrobes. It has access to a small sun-soaked private terrace with a table and two chairs. The en-suite consists of a full bath, toilet, bidet, vanity with washbasin, and mirror.
BEDROOM 2
The Yellow Room, is located at the head of the landing and features a wooden double bed (145 cm x 200 cm), two bedside tables with lamps, a mirror, and a full-size fitted wardrobe. Double doors open onto a private terrace with a small table and two chairs. The en suite consists of a shower room, toilet, bidet, vanity with washbasin, and side access to another terrace.
BEDROOM 3
The Turquoise Room, located to the right, features a large Vietnamese wood king-size bed (150 cm x 200 cm), two bedside tables with lamps, a dresser with mirror, and a full-size built-in wardrobe. The en-suite includes a shower room, toilet, bidet, storage, vanity with washbasin, and mirror.
BEDROOM 4
The Pink Room, is a twin bedroom located to the left of the landing and has two adult-size single beds, two bedside tables with lamps, a dresser with mirror, and a full-size built-in wardrobe. Double doors open onto a private terrace with a table and two chairs, a great sun spot for morning and afternoon coffee. The en suite includes a large bathtub, toilet, bidet, vanity with washbasin, and mirror.
All bedrooms have air conditioning with inverter heating and cooling.
The property has a fully enclosed secure garden, with off-street parking for one vehicle. There is free on-street parking for any other vehicles.
The pool terrace is furnished with outdoor dining for 10 people and sunbeds, with a traditional BBQ and built-in cooking area next to the swimming pool.
The swimming pool - 4.5m wide x 6m long, minimum depth 0.6cm, maximum depth 1.7m. has steps into the pool and graduated depth.
There is a table tennis table for friendly holiday competitions!
We also have a selection of books and games to enjoy during your stay.
The property has good lighting at night and a full security system.
The property has super-fast fibre-optic wifi throughout, including the pool area, perfect for working remotely, and streaming across multiple devices.
Housekeeping services for winter lets are provided every two weeks, and pool and garden maintenance are included.
A baby cot with bedding and a high chair are available and must be reserved in advance;
All children must be supervised by an adult at all times around the pool area, and a life ring is provided on the wall next to the pool.
All bookings are facilitated by my local property manager, so you have someone nearby in case of query.
This is a NO SMOKING property; smoking is not permitted anywhere on the premises, and any breach of this rule will result in forfeiture of the security deposit.
LOCATION
ABOUT OLHOS D'AGUA
Olhos D'agua is a beautiful, welcoming and safe resort, just outside Albufeira on the Algarve. It is 35 minutes from Faro Airport. There are also fast train connections from Lisbon and Porto, should you fly into those cities. It has a beautiful sunny promenade with a choice of cafes from which to look out to sea and watch the world go by.
Beaches - The villa is very centrally located in Olhos D'agua, with no need for a car. It is 10 -15 minutes’ walk from 3 beautiful beaches. The closest beaches are Praia Maria Luisa - 10 mins walk, Praia Olhos D'Agua, the town beach, also 10 minutes walk. Praia de Falesia is 15 minutes' walk away.
Shopping - The Intermarché Supermarket is 5 minutes' walk from the villa, making shopping very easy for a family holiday. A short car ride away, there is an ALDI in Albufeira and a larger Continente supermarket at Algarve Shopping at Guia. Algarve Shopping also has a large shopping mall with many clothing and department stores.
Bars, Cafes and Restaurants - there is a wide array of bars, cafes and good restaurants and within 5-12 minutes’ walk of the villa. There is a wide choice of cuisines from traditional Portuguese, Fish specialist, Steak specialist, Chinese, Indian, Thai, English, and Italian.

The nearest golf club is at the Pine Cliffs Hotel, just down the road in Acoteias.

There are a number of water parks - Slide and Splash, Zoo Marine which offer a great family day out.

Great Place to Stay with the Family

Villa Lucia was an absolutely excellent place to stay.
By Peter on 01-Aug-2023Villa Lucia was an absolutely excellent place to stay. A group of 10 of us stayed and we had everything we needed, was clean, and we had plenty of space. The photos were very accurate to the property. The host Bernice was brilliant, was responsive and even sorted airport transfers for all 10 of us on both the arrival and departure day. There was also a very handy book in the house with instructions and guidelines for our stay. The pool was an absolute highlight for us, extra towels were left for us specifically for the pool so we could leave the ones for the bathrooms clean, and the pool was very clean, as well as being serviced halfway through our stay. The location was also great, as it was only a cheap 10 minute Uber to the new town or 15 minutes to the old town, and a supermarket was only a 3 minute walk around the corner. Overall, couldn’t recommend this place enough for family and friends, excellent value for money, we’d come back!

The villa matched description but it has some hidden benefits: 1. Every room is en-suite! Each has a shower. It was very handy as we have 10 people and most of them kids. 2. Great equipment (large new smart TV and high-speed internet with a great coverage over all places on the villa). It was a pleasant surprise and very unusual. In most of the places I rented (even very good maintained), owners don't pay much attention to the side of the guest stay. 3. Each bed room has 3 size of pillows! So a guest can chose what is most suitable and sleep in full comfort! It really made me feеt at my home! Lucia, thank you very much for that! 4. The villa looks very fresh. The furniture looks great. Bathrooms are sparkling clean. The pool is crystal clear. My family didn't want to come back home after the vacation finished :) We all felt at home there.

Bernice went above and beyond for us and even helped my husband get me a beautiful cake and flowers for my birthday. The villa was amazing could not fault it in anyway,great location and spotless. The pool was a big hit and cleaned every few days and the upkeep . I would love to return again ,its a very nice and private villa and very big inside . We used a app called bolt for a taxi and it was only 10 to old town and new town for 9 of us . Restaurant's around had great food and were very welcoming and friendly we loved every bit of it and i would have no hesitation to recommend this villa 5 star and more . Thank you for making our family holiday a great experience ️
