May 2018 Villa Serena happens to be one of the best villa''s we''ve stayed in, with It''s location being walking distance to the beaches, shops and restaurants, whilst at the same time providing us privacy when we wanted a quiet day by the pool. On our arrival, Alan and Shelly the owners had arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the airport to take us straight to the villa, there we found a very generous welcome package. The villa was very clean and spacious with everything you would need to hand, there was plenty of room outside as well, providing somewhere to lay in the sun or read in the shade Alan and Shelly, are such lovely genuine people who couldn''t help us enough, and we are so grateful to them for making our trip to Cyprus such a great experience. Villa Serena is definitely one place we would love to return to.
Villa Serena is a great place to stay in the Protaras area. It''s only a few minutes walk from the beach and lots of nearby restaurants and bars. It''s in a quiet cul de sac so a perfect place to relax by the pool, top up your tan and read. The local ice cream van even calls by. The Villa and pool are spotless and the owners Alan and Shelley couldn''t be more helpful and pleasant. They leave a welcome pack for your arrival and even provide a supermarket trip on your first day.
From the first enquiry to our final goodbye, this was a perfect experience. We had to book a villa at late notice, after our original villa booking became unavailable, and Alan (owner of Villa Serena) and Trip Advisor''s Holiday Lettings reps could not have been more helpful to us. Alan replied very quickly to all emails, and gave us confidence that we were booking with a very reputable owner. Alan was also extremely helpful when our Monarch flight was cancelled. Our alternate flight arrived very late at night, but the villa was easy to find, and we were so very grateful for the wonderful array of goods in the welcome pack (including cold beer in the fridge!). The villa is in a great location, only minutes walk from some very good restaurants, and less than ten minutes walk to the closest beach. Pernera has some excellent restaurants, none more than 20 minutes walk away. Protaras is more lively, with even more restaurants and bars, and only about a 25 minute walk along the main road (or a slightly longer, but prettier route along the boardwalk on the sea front). The villa itself is excellent; well equipped, very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The pool is a good size (for a villa pool) and the outside area is very spacious and well-equipped. The Pernera roadworks, although fairly close to the cul-de-sac in which the villa is located, had absolutely no impact on us, whatsoever - and the new roads & pathways of Panera will be great once they are finished. Alan and Shelly visited us on the first morning, and made it clear that we could call on them at any time, should we need to. Fortunately, after our pre-holiday issues, this holiday turned out perfectly. We were actually happy that our original villa had fallen through, so that we were fortunate enough to have found Villa Serena instead. I have no hesitation in recommending this villa, and would definitely book again if we return to Cyprus.
