"Quardia Villa is not just a holiday property. It has that something 'extra special'.” Villa Quardia is a 3 bedroom 3 bathroom hidden gem majestically situated on a stunning hillside in peaceful countryside, offering panoramic unspoilt views of mountains, valley and sea. The villa has no immediate neighbours and the pool and poolside cannot be overlooked, so it's an ideal spot for an all over tan and complete relaxation. The comfortable interiors are stylishly decorated with quality furnishings and finishes providing a light, informal ambience. To keep in touch with the outside word Wi-Fi internet access is provided. Mosquito screening is provided at all windows, and is practical for letting the cool mountain air in, without insects. The beautiful stone property blends naturally with its surroundings and benefits from a superb location in Pano Akourdaleia, named Quardia in ancient times, a quaint and traditional village, full of character, and just waiting to be explored. This area has absolutely stunning scenery. The sea view is Polis, about 20 minutes drive. Akamas National Park with its 2 beautiful soft sand beaches at Lara Bay, and wild unspoilt interior famed for its flora and fauna is 20 mins in the other direction. And of course the blue flag beaches of Coral Bay and Latchi beaches are just a short drive away. At night time the stars’ sparkle like diamonds, as there is no light pollution here. The villa is just 500m from the local hotel open to non residents for food and drinks, and a cafe. 5 minutes’ drive uphill to local tavernas, bars and shops in Kathikas village. Clients’ favourite taverns here include Yiannis, To Stekki Tou Panai and more formal Imogen’s Inn. Miliou village is downhill from the villa and has 2 good tavernas too. The excellent Villa Quardia owners Dinos and Vicky live nearby and are available if needed, and only visit on request. They can also advise when the pool man will visit, as they appreciate clients booking Villa Quardia like to be private. Their understanding of this, and their subtle and thoughtful approach to our clients is much appreciated, resulting in client relaxation and many repeat bookings. Paphos, Polis & Coral Bay provide banks, restaurants, shops and supermarkets. We offer lower rates for 2 persons, when dates fit well. Ignore the higher rate when booking.
Beautiful! We highly recommend Sundance Villas

Stayed here a fortnight ago. Beautiful place. DINO is definitely a character. Two lovely restaurants friendly people at Milou also the fish restaurant at Polis . Stayed in 4 different places now and I would recommend Sundance Villas to anyone wanting to stay in this beautiful part of Cyprus.
Perfect & Relaxing

I got back from Cyprus last night and thought I'd jot some some thoughts on Villa Quardia. In short it was just what was needed! After a stressful several months at work, a week of quiet contemplation by the pool has recharged my batteries very successfully. I had no idea how much I needed that. The villa was perfect and stunning in every way and I enjoyed every minute of my stay ..... apart from the 30 minutes I spent chasing a lizard around the house having stupidly left the door open. Mind you, I suppose even that was worthwhile as I think I needed the exercise :-) Please pass on my thanks to the owner's parents who obviously realised that this weird, pale visitor needed some isolation and respected that. This was my first visit to Cyprus, apart from a childhood trip I can barely remember, and I'll definitely be back.

Dear Irene We both had a lovely time in Cyprus and Villa Quardia. The villa and the peaceful surrounding were just perfect. We will go back to Cyprus maybe as early as next April, we enjoyed the island that much. The owners dad and mum, Dinos and Vicky, were very helpful and welcoming. They let us get on with relaxing and enjoying our holiday without interfering, but were always on hand if we needed them. The villa could do with more carving/sharp knives. (Organised by Irene.) I would not hesitate to recommended Sundance to family and friends. Recommendation or highlight....Loved it all. I will be in touch.
The villa was fabulous and in a nice peaceful location with stunning views. We would recommend this villa to everyone and we will be back!

Hi Irene Sorry about the delay in letting you know about our stay in the above villa from 12 – 30 August 2015, had a lot going on since our return home. Anyway:- Even though we arrived around midnight we were met by Dino, who was more than happy to show us the important things and there was a great hamper waiting for us, ready for the morning, before we had chance to do our main shop. Most days we were out and about seeing Cyprus, even went to Protaras, Cape Greco – spending two days in that area. Visited three waterparks, which were great fun. We hired a boat from Latchi Watersports for a full day which was brilliant, so we did it again towards the end of our holiday. The pool was the perfect place to unwind on our return, sometimes watching the swallows swoop down to take a drink . We ate out a lot, either for Lunch or Dinner. The Meza’s were fabulous and food kept coming, only ordered three meza’s between four of us. If we had Meza at lunch we didn’t eat in the evening, or just had a snack. Can’t remember having a bad meal. Our favourite was the Samisen Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant in Coral Bay. You get your own personal chef to prepare your food in front of you with a full show of comedy, juggling, fire and participative elements. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Probably the most expensive restaurant we went to, but worth every penny. We did find a couple of off the beaten track restaurants, can’t remember the names. Dino and Vicky were really helpful and had a couple of nights talking with them. They even took time to take us to the little church in the village, which was off road. Dino got us trying Cactus fruit, which was gorgeous – everyone should try it, you will be surprised. The villa was fabulous and in a nice peaceful location with stunning views. We would recommend this villa to everyone and we will be back. Thanks to you Irene for all your help before we went and while we were there, and also thanks to Dino and Vicky.
The villa was absolutely excellent with all of the aspects of peace, tranquillity and utter privacy that we look for.

Hi Irene, We’ve just returned from our two weeks at Villa Quardia and I wanted to drop you a note to thank you, once again, for the excellent service provided by Sundance and crew. The villa was absolutely excellent with all of the aspects of peace, tranquillity and utter privacy that we look for. The villa is extremely well equipped and very comfortable and the ‘managers’, Dino and Vicky are just wonderful and respect your privacy with great delicacy. We spent a couple of happy evenings with them. Star gazing is such a wonderful experience here that I don’t know why you don’t mention it more in your literature. There’s nothing better than watching swallows swoop to drink from you swimming pool at dusk and then, having dined very well indeed, lying back to marvel at the Milky Way late at night, with just the noise of the crickets to accompany you. Taking this villa means that you must have a car and it is perfectly located for access to all of the ‘good stuff’ that this part of Cyprus has to offer. It’s not a bad life when the greatest stress is deciding whether to laze by the lovely pool or drive up into the beautiful Troodos! We, again, took a 4x4 from Cy-Breeze and all was as good as previously. The car developed a problem but I took it Cy-Breeze and they sorted it out there and then. For me, no company can guarantee that nothing ever goes wrong and a good company is marked by what they do when it does go wrong. Cy-Breeze were great. My only sorrow was that I hoped to meet Nick but he was away in Germany at the time. Favourite meals were eaten at: Samisen Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant in Coral Bay (details on the Web) and is absolutely fabulous. Each party gets its own, personal, chef to prepare their food in front of them (every table has its own cooking range) and it's a full 'show' with comedy, juggling, fire and participative elements. But don't be fooled! Although the 'show' is the wow factor, the food itself is excellent and even the most fussy of eaters will find something delicious on the extensive menu. I can't recommend this place highly enough. It still only cost us about £50 for two of us. Romantica Restaurante - This is an Italian restaurant on the main sea front road between Kato Paphos and the new 'tourist area'. Quite up market and the food is absolutely excellent. Paradisos Hills Hotel - Here, in this very friendly little hotel, we were offered a fairly good menu of fairly good food. But that's not the attraction here. The dining area is on a balcony overlooking the hotel pool and then right down the valley to the sea. After eating, we took our drinks down to the bottom of the garden and sat on the lovely little seat that's perched above a drop (no H&S railing here thank you), watching the sun set in beautiful peace. Very romantic. I'm sure that lots of people miss this place as it doesn't look like much more than a hotel, but it's well worth a visit. The Farmyard Restaurant - In Kathikas, this is a bit of a surprise. It looks just like any other taverna but, once inside, you find it to be much more 'up market', with nice linen, cutlery and glassware. The menu is very good and, when it arrives, the food is excellent. It's on the main road to Latchi and is well worth a visit. The new directions are perfect and could only be bettered by the provision of a native tracker. We would be very happy to stay here again. We’ll be back in Cyprus, and with Sundance, so thanks again and see you soon!
Another excellent Cyprus holiday booked with Sundance Villas. Will recommend Villa Quardia to friends!
By Eric & Sheila Hough on 02-May-2018
Hello Irene, Many thanks for organising a excellent holiday in Cyprus. The villa was perfect, Dinos and Vicki were very hospitable treating us to Cypriot coffee and delightful conversation, whilst respecting our privacy. Once again Cy breeze car hire turned up trumps guiding us to Quardia on our arrival, regards to Nick. Most definitely would like to return to Quardia Villa again and would not hesitate in recommending it to our friends.
Absolute bliss, superb, breathtaking!
By Caroline & Tim Ellis on 04-Apr-2018
Thank you for all your help in booking the lovely villa Quardia. Our week there in early October was absolute bliss. The villa was superb and the views breathtaking. This was our first time to Cyprus and first villa holiday and we cannot wait to return. The comprehensive information package you sent to us prior to our holiday was a great help. We loved the seclusion of the villa. Dino was friendly and helpful without being intrusive and we appreciated the help of your rep whilst we were there. The welcome hamper was also appreciated as we arrived very late at night. Thanks also for the celebratory fizz, what a lovely way to spend our wedding anniversary.
Coming home to Villa Quardia
By Julie Hendry on 14-Oct-2017
Just seen a Facebook post from someone at Quardia. We were there in July for a week. The second time of staying, and even better than the first time! The villa is unbelievable. Beautifully clean, welcoming and has everything. The pool is perfect and the gardens lovely. What makes Quardia so special? Two things: the setting. It's quiet. No neighbours, views to die for. Peace. Lizards. Birds. Dragonflies. Eating breakfast in the shade, just looking. Drinking in the beauty and feeling the stress dissolve. Second thing? Dino and his lovely wife. Such kind, generous and welcoming people. It felt like coming home and they remembered us!! I think that's it really. Going to Quardia feels like going to our special holiday home. Which is why I shall return with my two teenage sons again. An amazing week in an amazing place. Thank you Irene for recommending Quardia a few years ago. I'm scared to recommend it too much. Just don't want it discovered by other people!!! ssshhhhh!!! xxxx
Peaceful location, stunning views, perfect to unwind from the stress of work and recharge
By Katrina And Family on 02-Aug-2017
Hi Irene The house was beautiful! Met by dear Dinos, even tho it was after dark, who was very helpful showing us round etc. Peaceful location, stunning views, perfect to unwind from the stress of work and recharge. Easy to pop down to the supermarkets nearby and get groceries etc. Loved the privacy of the private pool for tired, middle-aged mum! Loved the restaurant in Miliou - was not expecting such a gem off the beaten track. Also the Herb Garden Cafe in Akourdaleia. Car is definitely required, but worth the benefits of having a retreat to return to away from the touristy bits. Drove to Nicosia, and (nearly) to Limassol - Kourion amphitheatre for history stuff - up into the mountains to Kykkos monastery, along to the Turkish border on north for empty beaches - not all in one day, obviously! You're definitely great agents - nice to feel 'connected' by a courtesy text, just in case etc. A wonderful experience that I would recommend to friends. Cypriot people - helpful, kindly and old-fashionedly courteous - I want to go back!! thank you all, UK and Cyprus, for our wonderful holiday :-)
Lovely holiday again with Sundance!

Hi Irene, Just a quick email to say that we enjoyed a lovely holiday again with Sundance! Word is spreading fast in Wigan with friends already browsing and asking me for advice!! We're already looking for next year…
Beautifully secluded with a lovely pool and surrounding area bordered by a wonderful array of roses.

Hi Irene, Quardia has come up trumps! It is a lovely Villa with everything you could wish for and we have just returned from a very interesting and restful two weeks. The views are spectacular looking across the Valley and up to the mountains and then turn to the left and you can see the sea at Polis. It is beautifully secluded with a lovely pool and surrounding area bordered by a wonderful array of roses and three “Bottle Brush” bushes which were just coming into full bloom. The Villa itself is fully equipped to a very high standard with very new equipment and the welcome pack was as usual very comprehensive. The villa is set between Pano & Kato Akourdaleia which now have a very good road between Kathikas and the Paphos to Polis road, there are some really good supermarkets in Skoulli, Glykis & Byrons which we found to be very comprehensive and generally cheaper than the large ones in Polis. Whilst on holiday we only have Breakfast and a very light lunch in the villa, there are a lot of good Tavernas in Kathikas, Petradaki in particular was extremely good and very reasonable and if you want a traditional Cypriot meal, Pangratios in Miliou should be visited. If a massage is on your list the Akamas Health Farm at Drouseia has wonderful facilities and very competitive pricing. The small Museum in Steni is well worth a visit as it is very comprehensive and the flowers in and around the village are stunning. Quardia is a fantastic place to stay with lots of wildlife, Lizards galore both skinks and the larger “Dinosaur” variety, Tits feeding their young at the front and Swallows making their nest inside the Pergola, whilst just up the road you can hear and see Goats on their daily trek with a Lady goatherd. There is a Herb Garden just up the road which you can visit. We found loads to do and our two weeks flew by doing something new in Cyprus virtually every day even though we have been coming for over 25 years. If you are intending to visit Cyprus we can recommend Sundance as giving you that bit extra, this is our third time with them and we will be back again in July. Thank you Irene for another great vacation.
We loved it so much we are hoping to get back next year!
By Lynne And Tom on 08-Jun-2016
Hi Irene We both had a fantastic time, the villa was lovely. The owner's family made us so welcome they even gave us fresh lemons and eggs, hopefully we will see them again. We both have the Cyprus bug we loved it so much we are hoping to get back next year our son and his partner and grandson are talking about coming with us if they can get the time off when we are going. We've even had a hint that they would like to get married there they loved the little church in the village where we stayed. I would also like to recommend the Farm Yard in Kathikas the food was excellent and very reasonable. The two girls who looked after us, Olga and Cherry, were lovely. They gave that little extra attention which made going there very pleasant. When we come back next year we will certainly be going back there for a meal, I hope they will still be there.
Piece of heaven. Quardia Villa is not just a holiday property. It has that something 'extra special'
By Annette L Edinburgh on 11-May-2016
This beautiful villa, set in a tranquil and private area just outside Pano Akourdaleia, was our piece of heaven for two weeks this spring. We stepped inside and felt the calm and care put into every detail of this holiday gem. We have had many villa holidays over the years but this one is by far the best, and we will be back again next year. A generous hamper was waiting for us which was perfect as we had a late arrival. The four-poster double bed with fabulous jacuzzi bath en-suite was very comfortable. All the bedrooms were en-suite and had balconies with furniture. In the kitchen we were amazed at the array of appliances, utensils, crockery, and cutlery supplied. The owners have been very thoughtful of guests' needs. The open plan arrangement of dining/sitting room/ kitchen was spacious and well provided with good furniture. There was free Wifi which we used to keep in touch with friends and family. No video or written description can say how fabulous it is outside. We went at the start of May. The rose gardens, lawns, and flaming red bottle brush trees were so pretty, and we have never seen such an array of wild life. In UK it is always a thrill to see an odd butterfly fluttering by, but here they were all around us, giving added colour to what already was a pretty picture. The centre piece was the lovely pool and an adjacent well constructed wooden BBQ area offering lots of shade. It is serviced with electrical points and lighting, and has a generous wooden table with benches. The BBQs came complete with motorised attachments, so eating alfresco was a great experience. Surrounding the villa, and seen from every bedroom and balcony, is the stunning scenery, stretching down through the mountains and valleys to the sea. It is very quiet here. You can be at one with nature. No sound of aircraft or traffic. The sky at night is a joy. We had fun listening to two Scops owls calling one another - a single note, repeated every second or two. For anyone into birding, there is plenty to keep you happy here. It was a great comfort to know that Dino and Vicky, who have their home close by, were there if advice or help was needed. They were so welcoming and hospitable. There are several tavernas and restaurants serving very good food close to Pano Akourdaleia, and supermarkets which cover every day needs. The Herb Garden in the village is well worth a visit and it serves refreshing drinks and organic cakes. This may be an idyllic quiet spot, but it is close to Latchi, Polis, and Pomos (our favourite harbour). With good roads and road signs, and a fast motorway from Paphos to Limassol, we were up near the troodos mountains in no time. The beaches, the walks, the forests and tiny villages - all were captivating. We are so looking forward to our return.
