Villa with Private Pool, Breathtaking Ocean View, Close to Beach, Free WifiThis pleasant holiday villa is located in Praia da Luz, a small village in Algarve just 6km away from the well known Lagos town. With a super ocean view, a private pool and garden, 10 mins walk to beach, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, central heating, FREE Wifi, IPTV, is the perfect place to spend your holidays! The house is built on 2 levels with the bedrooms on the 1st floor; 2 of them share a terrace overlooking the pool and the sea. The bedroom1 has an ensuit bathroom with shower, bidet, w.c. and 2 beds. The bedroom2 has also 2 beds. Bedroom 3 has doors to the front garden and a double bed. The main bathroom has a shower and w.c. is located between bedrooms 2 & 3. The living room on the ground floor has doors opening into a large terrace overlooking the private pool, the sea and the garden. The garden has 4 Sun Loungers. The kitchen is well equipped (refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine, ling washer, electrical kettle…) and has a door to the pool. Maid service 1x week.
How to get there: Fly to Faro airport - a number of UK airlines fly direct including Monarch, EasyJet, TAP and British Airways. The flight takes about 3 hours and Portugal is in the same time zone as the UK. There are lots of flights every day.
It takes about 1 hour to reach the villa by car, either in a taxi (about Euro 70) or renting a car - Hertz, Sixt, Europcar and others are available from Faro airport. The motorway from Faro to Lagos is fast and quiet, and the majority of the journey is on this road. A train service also operates from Faro to Lagos.
Directions from Lagos to the Villa, about 6 kms, are available.
In the summer peak season its best to arrange car rental before you arrive.
Lisbon and Sevilha are a 3 hour car journey.
Other Sports/Leisure/Night Life and Shopping: Jeep Safaris - Driving over hills and through valleys, along tracks that you´d never find. The safaris take passengers to areas where indigenous flora and fauna are in abundance. Usually a ful day out with a picnic lunch
Blokarting - Try the newest sport to hit the Algarve near Sagres - on a 3-wheeled go-kart with a sail attached to catch the wind - is exciting and exhilarating
From Luz there are daytrip coaches to the water parks (Aqualand, Aquashow and Krazy World) and the Dolphin Park (ZoomMarine) as well as several museums invite to trips.
Gymnasiums and fitness centers all offering standard equipment. Pampering offer a variety of beauty treatment and alternative therapy salons.
Further interesting activities are also the Gypsy markets, interesting shops selling gifts adn Portuguese pottery
The Algarve's very own night life party capital-Albufeira within a 30min drive.
Two huge shopping centers are located in Portimao and Guia within a 30min. drive.
International Medical Service: First Aid service in several languages are available 24h a day in Praia da Luz from general practitioners, specialised doctors to dentists and health centers with possible visits to home. There are also public and private Hospitals located in Lagos. In addition Alvor has a private hospital with an excellent reputation, providing a 24-hour emergency service, accepting most credit cards, having a direct link to several major health insurance companies. Portimao offers a state hospital with a very good 24-hour open children's clinic. All current medicines are easy to obtain in the well equipped pharmacies operating 24h a day for emergency services (applicable for those in duty).

Wir haben 7 Nächte in der Villa verbracht und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
By Shayma on 01-Aug-2023Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die Größe des privaten Pools (ca. 8x4m). Von 2 Schlafzimmern aus kann man im Bett liegen und aufs Meer hinausschauen. Zu empfehlen ist es, Kleinigkeiten wie Salz, Pfeffer, Öl, Spülmaschinentabs und Waschmittel mitzubringen. Es waren ausreichend Ventilatoren vorhanden, die wir den ganzen Aufenthalt über nur 1x verwendet haben, da das Klima in Luz sehr angenehm war. Vor dem Haus befinden sich kostenfreie Parkplätze. Der Check-In war unkompliziert, da wir flexibel anreisen und den Schlüssel aus dem Codesafe entnehmen konnten. In der näheren Umgebung befinden sich 2 kleine Supermärkte, die auch sonntags geöffnet haben. Zum öffentlichen Strand ist es 10 Gehminuten weit und am Strand gibt es wunderbare Frühstückscafés. Die Altstadt Lagos ist in 15 Minuten zu erreichen. Vielen Dank an die Gastgeberin Mariana für den unvergesslichen Aufenthalt in dieser Traumvilla. Kommen gerne wieder!

The villa was bigger than expected and in a great location for access to Lagos
By Keith on 01-May-2022The villa was bigger than expected and in a great location for access to Lagos, while also being outside the busyness of the town center. The private pool and outdoor furniture was nice and well maintained. The villa is in a complex of many other units so there's neighboring units on both sides of you. Some of the furnishings are a little dated, but they were certainly acceptable and comfortable. I'd like to see the host provide some basic items in the kitchen since you're renting the entire house (i.e. salt/pepper, dishwasher pods or detergent, etc.). We had to buy a whole box of dishwasher pods to do just one load of dishes. But overall, the place was comfortable and met our needs.
