Description
Casa do Mar is a very special, huge 632m² beachfront house sitting within extensive grounds of 9600 m². We have a lovely solar heated pool (with an option to add additional heat pump heating in the early and late season), beautiful, landscaped gardens, large traditional courtyards and impressive light-filled rooms in the house all of which are exceptional, and we believe unique, in an Algarve villa rental.The house is set in a quiet high-class residential area and is not overlooked. Yet it is so centrally located that you can walk along the beach and in less than 5 minutes be sitting in the numerous beach cafés, bars and restaurants that Luz offers. You wouldn’t need to hire a car, unless you wanted one, as most amenities are walkable.
The house is uniquely positioned directly on the beach (frontline) and is a great place to bring a single, or multiple families and or large groups together. We even have our own beach terrace. Our gardens and terraces are a wonderful backdrop for a memorable holiday.
Casa do Mar's position means that it has absolutely stunning sea views. It is a mere 30 seconds from the pool to the sand directly from the garden.
We have 6 air-conditioned bedrooms and 5 bathrooms and can sleep a maximum of 14 people.. The house has many communal areas for house guests so everyone can get together or spread out for some quiet time.
Casa do Mar has one large main terrace which is big enough to accommodate everyone and there is plenty of space around the pool with a large seating area and room for several loungers plus a large circular bench overlooking the beach.
There is also a set of outdoor sofas, a large gas BBQ and external marble dining table with the most spectacular sea views, as well as two areas to eat indoors. For guest entertainment we have an outdoor table tennis table and two TV areas. The house also comes with free super-fast fibre broadband and WiFi throughout.
Two of the main bedrooms directly face the sea, three of the bedrooms have their own terraces with a further two bedrooms opening out onto a lovely courtyard garden. All our bedrooms and bathrooms use Egyptian cotton linens and bath towels. We also provide beach towels for guests.
To help you with your stay and as part of our service we provide dedicated pre rental support and local multilingual management who are on hand to help you during your stay (fluent in Portuguese, French, and English), our cleaning service will do a mid-week cleaning refresh and a full linen change and clean at check-out all included in the cost. We can also arrange airport transfers for you. All the supermarkets are walkable, but we can also get an initial food shop delivered so you have provisions in the house when you arrive!
We are also able to host weddings for up to 150 guests alongside a villa rental.

By Anna on 02-Aug-2025Our family of 14 stayed at Casa Do Mar from August 2–9 to celebrate our parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, and it could not have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beauty and space—inside and outside. The home is stunning, with plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy. We truly felt like royalty with the breathtaking ocean views, private pool, grassy area for the kids to play, peaceful courtyard, and private beach access. The kitchen was well-equipped, making it easy (and fun!) to cook big family meals together. We also loved being able to walk into town—something even our 70+ year-old parents, my brother with his wife and one-year-old could do with ease, and our teens could enjoy days and nights exploring the town. There were plenty of good restaurants and access to 2 grocery stores within roughly 10 minutes walk. The hosts and team went above and beyond, surprising our parents with champagne, chocolates, and strawberries to mark their special milestone. It was such a thoughtful touch and made the stay feel even more memorable. Everyone had a wonderful time, and we’re already talking about when we can return. Casa Do Mar will always hold a special place in our hearts after this unforgettable family celebration.
Can't Think of a Better Place for a Family Vacation
By Lammy Family on 30-Jun-2022I cannot think of a better place than this for a family vacation. Our group ranged in age from 2-68 and everyone found the stay great. Having 2+ acres of yard to play in and a pool did the trick for the younger family members. The 30-40 crowd really enjoyed the restaurants and shops in Luz, only steps away. My wife and I enjoyed just hanging out at the house with the breath taking view. And everyone loved being able to step from “our” yard onto the beach. It was a magical experience.
Wow!
By Christine J on 01-Jun-2022Wow! We cannot imagine a better European bach holiday, and the house was the highlight and hub of our activities. The house has character, pizazz, history and charm. And it is private too. I had to pinch myself daily as I sat on the patio and gazed into the ocean. This house was a treat! The house managers were wonderful. We were blessed to be there.

It’s a historic property with breathtaking gardens leading onto the beach whilst only steps from fabulous restaurants and bars. The coastal path is easy to access, so a morning walk or jog followed by coffee in one of the cafes is just perfect. The house is quirky, very special and a unique property. It is also huge!!!!! The beds are super comfortable......it was our first visit to Portugal and I think we have been very spoilt by the location and Villa. The owners were super helpful every step of the way, even doing some pre arrival shopping for us.

The location is second to none, you literally step from the lovely garden on to the beach and a it is only a short walk to the town and restaurants. You can also go for walks up the cliffs just behind the house. The house is spacious and comfortable with plenty of space for everyone indoors and out.. Kitchen has all that you need and beds are comfortable. Pool is a good size and warmer than the sea! Will is very helpful if you have any problems. Thoroughly recommend!
