Description
Ballyhedbe is a beautifully presented 4 bedroom split level villa with a roof terrace, private pool and air-conditioning situated in a secluded area in the hills north of Faro (25 mins away) with gated access. It offers complete privacy and stylish accommodation for up to eight people. It is in a lovely village and you can walk to a local restaurant and cafe. It is a twenty minute drive from the beaches and golf at Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo and close by at https://www.ombria.com/en/golf-sports/golf-near-faro/. We also have a great local bike hire company who you can rent bikes from and a great tennis & paddle club 10 minutes away.Tucked away in a peaceful valley with stunning open country views it is within 7 minutes of the town of Sao Bras de Alportel and 10 minutes to Loule. It is our second home, popular with friends and family and many guests return each year.
The interior of the villa has been tastefully furnished to a contemporary, stylish high standard and contains all the mod-cons to make your stay very comfortable. The villa has just been repainted inside and outside. The villa keeps naturally cool as the sitting room is vaulted. The large kitchen makes entertaining easy and the main bedroom en-suite with jacuzzi bath is on the ground floor. Three bedrooms are on the ground floor and four bathrooms in total all with modern new showers. The villa is surrounded by landscaped gardens, extensive terracing and barbeque area, a pergola with electric sunshades, sunbeds, and a large pool, outdoor shower and great roof terrace taking full advantage of the really stunning views. We also provide a range of outdoor games (pingpong, darts, boule, croquet etc.). The venue also works well for small group office get-away trips as there is an office area linked to it’s own sitting area. Maid service is available.
The wood burning stove and heating keep the house warm off season so you might want to take advantage of the mild autumn or spring weather (17-24 C). This is also excellent walking and cycling country with a Jacuzzi bath to come back to.

By Lacy family on 10-Sep-2025Fantastic stay at this Villa. We were two families from the UK and had a wonderful experience. The owner, Debbie, made sure all of the arrangements for our stay were very straightforward and well organised. The Villa is in a beautiful setting and the pool and outside space is delightful. All the bedrooms are spacious and the Villa is very well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. There's also a great restaurant and bar nearby that you can walk to (15-20mins walk). Thank you Debbie, we had wonderful holiday.
Super Location & villa

Debbie's villa is in a super location for Sao Bras and Loule; it's spacious with extensive garden/pool area, space for more than one car and super terrace with electric sunshades. It is clearly a home, rather than a rental villa, with a well equipped kitchen (new oven, air fryer, dishwasher, new BBQ) although we love to eat out as so many great restaurants to choose from. Great communication from Debbie throughout.
Lovely situation and villa - but tired and not well maintained

The pool heating did not work for the first week, the oven and dishwasher were faulty and there was no hot water in the master ensuite for the first 3 days. The owners did not have a Portuguese manager and were trying to manage repairs via their cleaner and from the UK. The photos on the website are not recent - so for example there is no sign of the chess set and the chess board is held together with gaffa tape!!. Definitely will not be returning. Furnishings and crockery etc. did not match and although there were only 3 of us, there were only 2 comfotable outside chairs and one sofa in front of the TV. Would have been impossible with more people.
Tranquil villa in amazing gardens

The villa was so well equipped, great set up with incredibly comfy beds in the main bedrooms. Amazing steakhouse short walk from the villa. The villa is so private and peaceful and owners couldn’t do enough to help and assist, always very quick to respond to any queries. Amazing holiday thank you!
Family holiday
By J. Williams on 19-Jul-2024It was out first time visiting Portugal and we loved it. The villa is amazing and we really enjoyed our stay there. Very clean and comfortable. The layout worked really well for us as a family. The pool is lovely and with lots of space around to enjoy the gorgeous view. There were a selection of games that the children enjoyed playing, and a good tv set up. We liked exploring the local area and found a lovely restaurant - Rui’s Steakhouse just down the road. We would love to visit again in the future as the villa was really amazing. Thank you very much for letting us stay!
Lovely villa
By SM on 18-Sep-2024First time we have stayed in villa and we found it very comfortable. The outside area was very well maintained and we spent most of our holiday around the pool which was a great size. Internet connection was also good.
