The Location
The villa, Casa Vista Bonita, is an easy drive just 20-25 minute from Faro Airport yet away from the hustle and bustle of tourist areas. Even so it is easily accessible by car to beaches and coastal resorts, and all Algarve amenities (including tennis, golf, waterparks, walking, shopping, culture and history). We are is just outside Sao Bras de Alportel, an attractive "real" Algarve town with a partly restored historic centre, located between Tavira about 20 minutes east, and Loule about 15 minutes west.
All your domestic needs are catered for at a large supermarket some 3 minutes drive from the house, while “Sao Bras” – with its banks, shops, cafes, restaurants and civic amenities - is just a little further beyond. The nearest restaurant (of many in the town and local area) is just a few hundred metres.

Casa Vista Bonita is on a low hillside with distant views across the valley to the hills beyond, with woodland and distant mountains.
A covered entrance porch opens into the hallway and main living areas, with cloakroom (WC & hand-basin) off, and master bedroom with balcony and small en-suite shower room. The open plan living room /dining room/kitchen has fine country views on 2 sides. Marble stairs lead down to the twin bedrooms and family bathroom on the lower floor. The bedrooms look onto the lower garden terrace, with small vines, a lemon and a fig tree. There are air-conditioners in the bedrooms if needed for hot summer nights.
Pre & post hire cleaning, towels & linen are provided ( with a maid service visit and fresh bed linen and towels supplied for longer bookings) - guests to supply pool/beach towels. There is a secure enclosed outdoor drying area directly off the kitchen.
Steps from the breakfast terrace beyond the dining room, lead down to the private swimming-pool, sun terrace & BBQ area, and on to garden terrace below.
Outside
Dining table & chairs are provided on the breakfast terrace and on the pool terrace. There are sun-loungers & umbrellas but also natural shade during the day on parts of the terraces and under the lemon tree. There is a BBQ for your use
The (serviced) pool is oval, roughly 15m x 10m (?), it is 0.9m -1.9 m deep, with steps at the shallow end (no handrail). Please note diving is forbidden. The pool is not heated.
** Prices
The quoted price per night is for up to 4 guests. There is a small additional charge, per person per night, for a 5th or 6th guest in a party.
Notes
- Smoking is completely forbidden inside the house.
- There is no Wifi but “data-roaming” operates well at the house. Local cafes bars and restaurants have good free wifi.
- Guests must supply their own beach/pool towels.
- We will take a refundable security deposit before your visit.
- A car is necessary – there is good parking just outside.
- There are steps to enter, and also inside the villa to access bedrooms 2 & 3, and outside to access the pool and terraces.
- Hair dryer and iron/ironing board are provided.
- There is a washing machine.
- You are the dish-washer!
- A modest additional charge applies for a 5th & 6th guest.
Casa Vista Bonita is in a lovely rural but not isolated position.
Sao Bras and surrounding area is a welcoming place to just relax, lounge, eat and drink well, or simply enjoy coffee or a drink.
If you want lots of sophistication and nightlife, or dislike authenticity and simplicity, this may not be the place for you .
