Description
Available after a 3 year break. The villa is one of only a small number of villas situated on a private road in this unspoilt and beautiful location.Villa Franca is a charming and peaceful single storey villa situated on a hill above Torre Delle Stelle on the beautiful Southern Sardinian Coast. It has spectacular panoramic views of the sea and the Gulf of Cagliari. The villa is hidden down its own private, gated driveway offering security and seclusion. This also provides secure parking for guests. The driveway opens to a row of olive trees that frame the views out to sea as you approach the villa. This then leads to a pretty wrought iron gate which opens to the large pool terrace. The villa, pool and terraces are all on the one level. The pool, 13m x 6m is one of the largest in the area. It has been designed with an infinity edge offering swimmers unobstructed views of the coastline. On the spacious terrace that surrounds the pool you can enjoy views of the sea and coastline while relaxing in the sun. At the end of the day you can take in the amazing sunsets from anywhere on the terrace. The steps into the pool are 2ms wide and not steep, the perfect place to sit and contemplate the view. It also provides a safe area to play in full view of the sunbeds and outside seating area. The infinity edge is not fenced but there is not a sheer drop. There is a grass area sloping away from it. Our terms and conditions stipulate that children must be supervised around the pool at all times. The terraced garden also has its own fruit trees. There is plenty of outside space and you have a choice of areas to eat either in the shade of the olive trees or on the sheltered verandah at the front of the villa, both of which face the sea. There is also a built-in pizza oven, barbacue and outdoor shower.
The 3 bedrooms are all ensuite with their own separate entrances off the verandah which offers guests both independence and privacy. The villa is fully air conditioned with all mod-cons including washing machine and dishwasher and WiFi.
The kitchen is large with 2 gas hobs and an oven and all the equipment you will need. There is plenty of worktop space for everyone to join in. The covered verandah ensures dining al fresco is a pleasure whatever the weather.
All 3 bedrooms are ensuite.
Bedroom 1 - 1 Kingsize bed and an additional single bed if needed. All bedrooms have space for a cot.
Bedroom 2 - 1 Kingsize bed
Bedroom 3 - 2 single beds that can be made up into a Kingsize.
All bedrooms have air conditioning. We also have a cot, high chair, bath and monitor.
We provide all bedding and towels, including pool towels. WiFi and electricity are included and there are no additional charges.
The spacious sitting room has a large picture window where you can sit and view the sea. It has air conditioning, tv, dvds and player, games and books.
Check-in 4pm. Check-out 10am. Bookings run from Saturday to Saturday unless otherwise agreed. A car is recommended.
About Torre delle Stelle:
The beauty of this part of Sardinia is that it is totally natural. There is not a high rise in sight. This is a place to kick off your shoes and truly unwind.
It is possible to walk from the villa to the beach in 10-15 minutes. At the bottom of the hill the path goes through the maquis and so it is not suitable if you have a lot to carry or very young children. The footpath goes all the way down to the lovely white sandy beach and azure sea. As an alternative there is a car park behind the beach which is shaded all day by the eucalyptus trees. It is only a 5 minute drive and it is also right by the village supermarket and very convenient for picking up supplies on the way back from the beach.
Torre has 2 beaches separated by a picturesque headland. There are 2 main entrances. Both are found on the road heading back towards Cagliari and are a couple of minutes drive away. As you drive down into Torre there are tennis courts. You will also find the Palmira supermarket which has a butcher, fishmonger and small bar attached to it. The easiest way to find them is to follow the signs to the supermarket. There is also a cash point here. In the evening there is a restaurant attached to the bar where you can eat inside or in the open air courtyard. There are also a couple of unobtrusive beach bars at one end of the beach. One serves fresh seafood and they both look out over the sea.
Further back from the beach there is another small supermarket and other restaurants to choose from. We supply more detail in our booking pack. Boat hire and water sports are also available locally.
Surrounding area:
To Cagliari turn right at the bottom of the hill. The capital is about 45 minutes drive away. There you will find the famous Poetta beach lined with restaurants. It is famous for wind surfing. The centre of Cagliari and its historic centre is only a few minutes drive further on.
If you turn left at the bottom of our hill you will be heading towards Villasimius approx 20 – 25 mins away. On this route you will see more really breathtaking views and lots more stunning beaches to choose from. 4 mins into this drive is Solanas with another lovely beach. In Villasimius, a larger seaside town, there are more excellent restaurants, bars and shops situated off the main street. There is another beautiful beach and just outside town is the marina where you can hire boats or join excursions to the protected reserve to the east of Villasimius. Other facilities include banks, a 24 hour medical centre, 2 PADI 5* diving schools, a sailing school and cycle hire. There is a golf course but due to the landscape it’s not for the faint hearted! If you want to travel further beyond Villasimius is the Costa Rei where the beach runs for miles.
Inland there are small olive producers that welcome visitors.
The nearest airport is Elmas (Cagliari) airport. All main airlines fly to Sardinia from a number of UK airports. The airport is approximately 45 minutes away. All the usual car hire companies are situated at the airport.

La piscine est très agréable et agrémente énormément l’attrait du lieu. L’entretien est assuré par une personne efficace et discrète . La climatisation est aussi très appréciable. Le seul inconvénient reste le chemin d’accès qui est caillouteux et abîmé à certains endroits, mais la vue et le calme font tout oublier ! Published 24 Aug 2021

Die Lage, der Pool und das Haus sind grandios! Francesco was always available as a contact person and the communication with Kim regarding the booking also worked smoothly. The location, the pool and the house are magnificent!

The villa is really well equipped and has so much space - both inside and out. The pool area and garden are a delight. A car is definitely needed in my opinion, and you will want to get out and explore the many amazing beaches nearby!
A fantastic villa with stunning views
By Anthony A on 17-Jul-2019We really enjoyed our relaxing stay at lovely Villa Franca. We particularly loved the pool and outside space with various different areas to use, all with beautiful views. The entire villa was clean inside and out and is very well equipped. It is also well situated with a small supermarket, a couple of restaurants (Il Sagittario do good pizza, including takeaway in the evening and the staff are very friendly) and beaches a short drive away. Villasimius is about 20 minutes by car and the marina, beaches and town well worth a visit, there are also larger supermarkets there. Communication with Kim was excellent from booking onwards and we had a warm welcome from Francesco who gave recommendations and was on hand throughout our stay should we have any questions or problems. We would love to return one day and certainly recommend this villa, thank you Kim, David and Francesco

Die Kommunikation mit Kim und mit Francesco vor Ort war super und hat reibungslos geklappt. Beide waren sehr bemüht und zuvorkommend! Wir können die Villa uneingeschränkt empfehlen :-) We really enjoyed the stay in the villa, as it was pleasantly quiet due to the location. In addition, of course, the view from de Villa is really gorgeous. The communication with Kim and Francesco on site was great and worked smoothly. Both were very helpful and courteous! We can recommend the villa unreservedly :-)
