Located in a peaceful rural location but near the bustling village of Skala with its tavernas and beach, Villa Demeter is a large and comfortable holiday home.Set within an enclosed private plot of 2,203 sq.m with a pool, it allows for complete relaxation away from it all.

• The Garden Room is detached from the main house - ideal for those requiring a little peace and quiet.
• Downstairs the lounge area is equipped with a large internet-connected smart TV and WiFi, and comfortable sofas. There is a large dining area inside along with two seating and eating areas outside. The kitchen is brand new and fully equipped. There is a downstairs bathroom with toilet and shower along with an outside shower with hot and cold water.
• Parking for several cars and a large garden. Apart from the trees, a large shaded area is available by the pool and barbeque.
• The property is completely enclosed and not overlooked, allowing you to relax in the pool and garden in complete privacy.
• Sea views from the bedrooms on the first floor.
• Credit cards accepted, accessible 24/7, children over 5 years old welcome, cleaner visits during stay, pets not allowed, smoking not allowed.
• No parties.
• WiFi, Smart TV with Internet (Netflix etc.)

By Hannah on 17-Sep-2025Our second time to Villa Demeter and it didn't disappoint . This villa is the best we have stayed in, very private, gorgeous grounds, amazing pool and lovely spacious villa. Everything has been thought of by Peter the owner, couldn't fault a thing. Nearby Skala is a 10 minute walk or a few minute taxi ride (we didn't hire a car) where there are numerous lovely restaurants and shops. There is a car hire firm and quad bike hire in Skala that you can hire for a day. We also went on a morning horse ride with Skala horseriding and saw the sunrise over the sea it was very special and worth getting up early for. All in all if you want a totally relaxing fabulous holiday book Villa Demeter. Thank you Peter we will be back.

By Ged on 28-Jun-2025Been visiting Kefalonia now for twenty years, and Villa Demeter, is up there as one of the best villa's we have stayed in, for the location two minutes drive to numerous restaurants shops etc, beaches within walking distance, as for the villa very spacious and meets all needs, grounds are beautifully kept and a fabulous pool, if you want peace and quite look no further, hence the reason my wife and I have booked again for next year.
We have stayed in a number of villas over the past few years but this is by far the best one.
By David and Christine on 02-Jun-2025We have just returned from a two-week holiday in Kefalonia, staying at the very lovely Villa Demeter! This is a fabulous villa. It is in a great location, close enough to walk into Skala (15 mins) and nearby beaches of Spithi and Mounda but tucked away in a beautiful, peaceful, semi-rural setting with gorgeous views of the sea and mountains. We have stayed in a number of villas over the past few years but this is by far the best one. The villa is fitted out to an extremely high standard - the furnishing are light and modern, the kitchen equipped with everything you need (and so much more), the pool is, by far, the largest we have had the pleasure to enjoy and the gardens are simply stunning., with lemon, ornate and fig trees laden with fruit and beautiful flowers all around. The outdoor seating area is located in the perfect position for every part of the day, including early evening to watch the sun go down and is right next to the barbecue area. All of this created the most peaceful and relaxing environment, we likened it to a wellness retreat. We highly recommend Villa Demeter as the perfect villa for an unforgettable holiday and will be back!

We’ve never gone back to the same place twice for a holiday but - having relaxed from the moment we arrived on our first visit - decided to ‘gamble’ and go back again this year. We were a little cautious that the Villa would have the same feeling as the first time but I’m really pleased to say it did and once again ticked all of the boxes for us. My parents joined us too this time and also really enjoyed it. Thanks Peter, we loved every minute and would certainly recommend to others. Until the next time Kefalonia …..
We had a perfect holiday at Villa Demeter!

It has everything you could want from a villa: spacious and comfortable interior; well-equipped kitchen; spotlessly clean throughout; and a fantastic pool and garden. The pictures online don’t really capture its beauty. The bedrooms have lovely beamed ceilings and the first floor balcony from the main bedroom is great for early risers keen to see the sunrise. We particularly loved the nearby Spithi beach for an early evening swim before heading into Scala for an evening meal, walking down and getting a taxi back. We also loved an evening at the villa, making use of the BBQ and outdoor dining facilities. There were nice little extras that finished off the holiday: a beach bag in each room with pool towels; BBQ wood provided; washing liquid/dishwasher tabs available; and a mid-week clean. Peter was the perfect host: timely communications; clear instructions/directions; and helpful recommendations. We had a perfect holiday at Villa Demeter!
This villa was an ideal place to relax - a real home from home
By Andy on 21-Aug-2024We have just retuned from a 2 week stay in Villa Demeter. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers (18 and 16). We had an amazing time at the villa and spent the 2 weeks mainly relaxing after a busy year for all of us. This villa was an ideal place to relax - a real home from home - and our 18 year old particularly enjoyed the independence of the garden room. We hired a car for 2 weeks from Simotas Car Rental (they are awesome), which gave us the opportunity to explore the local area and beyond. Our highlights were Kamina beach (super chilled beach 10 mins from Scala) and the restaurants in Poros and Katelios. Best of all though was walking along Mounda beach at around 10.30pm and spotting a newly hatched turtle trying to make its way to the sea (we gave it a little help and it made it successfully to the sea much to my daughters delight!). We had a couple of very minor issues with the dishwasher and the pool, which were fixed immediately after we raised them. Other than that, everything was perfect with the villa. We would highly recommend Villa Demeter to anybody who is thinking of booking.
