Villa Petalutha is located on the outskirts of the traditional mountain village of Spartilas. Nestling beneath the imposing Mount Pantokrator, it offers privacy and seclusion, yet is only 5 minutes drive or 10 minutes scenic walk to the village. The popular resort of Barbati, with beautifully clear water and safe swimming, is 15 minutes drive away. The airport and cosmopolitan Corfu town, a world heritage site, are 40 minutes drive. The area is one of outstanding natural beauty; a peaceful haven for wildlife, including eagles, lizards and butterflies, from which the villa takes its name. Set in its own olive grove and blending superbly with its surroundings, this luxurious villa is built to a high specification. It's unique split level design was inspired by the natural terraces of the hillside and maximises the breathtaking 180 degree views of the beautiful east coast bays, Corfu town, the spectacular mountains of central Corfu and the glorious sunsets of the west coast.
Villa Petalutha was featured in the May 2015 edition of Woman and Home magazine as one of their favourite villas.
Inside the villa, you will find natural stone floors and a beautiful stone archway dividing the living space. There is a log burner set within a traditional greek fireplace and a solid oak dining table with leather chairs. The contemporary kitchen, with it's black granite and stone island, is extremely well equipped and benefits from quality appliances. A marble staircase leads down to the four good sized bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms. The bedrooms all have good sized, comfortable beds with deep mattresses. Bed and bath linen is all of high quality. There is a generous amount of storage in built- in wardrobes.
Leading from the beautiful open plan living area are a range of stone terraces all equipped with comfortable seating and dining areas. There is a large brick BBQ for al fresco meals. Steps lead down to the pool area which is equipped with sun beds, coffee tables and parasol.
At the far end of the pool lies our terraced olive grove and a spectacular wooden viewing platform. A hammock is set between the trees: a perfect spot for a quiet afternoon siesta.
The villa has a large gravel forecourt for at least four cars.

Such a lot of care has so obviously gone into designing the layout of the villa and furnishing it. There are fabulous views every which way you turn and equal care has gone into planning the outside areas - which are vast!! The planting in the garden is stunning and provides shade, a beautiful backdrop and also welcomes wildlife. The variety of outdoor eating and seating options also means that you feel you are having a really luxurious experience. The view obviously means you have to be prepared for a bit of a drive to get up to the villa - but it is so worth it. You can’t fail to have a wonderful holiday here. The regular cleaning and visits from the lovely property manager means you also won’t have any headaches to deal with once there. There are lots of lovely beaches, tavernas and places of interest which can easily be accessed if you can bear to leave the villa. Our family and friends would very highly recommend this wonderful villa.

The villa was beautiful and very much wow, and in a stunning location, we didn't want for anything. The owner had made sure it was a real home from home. We are definitely booking again. We have been truly spoilt by this holiday.
Perfect in every way

Villa Petalutha was beyond doubt the most impressive and amazing villa we have ever stayed in. Everything was perfectly catered for and every detail considered, from the beautiful well equipped kitchen to the array of seating and relaxing areas. Particular favourites were the outdoor seating area under the pergola, the hammock under the olive trees with the most stunning views and the infinity pool with 180 degree views of the most beautiful landscape. The information provided was really useful, as were the books, games and pool table. The wifi worked perfectly and the villa was very clean and well cared for. The large well appointed barbecue area was well used during our holiday. There was nothing more we could have asked for. The owners were easy to communicate with, highly efficient and pleasure to deal with. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone wanting to find themselves a little piece of paradise and would love to return again soon.
Stunning villa and views
By Mary Burkett on 01-Jul-2017
There was everything we could possibly want here. The garden is wonderfully set out so we could have shade or sun, we made use of the BBQ and terraces and lovely, local, friendly, tavernas in Spartilas. Apostolos was helpful, and we really didn't want to leave. We were all surprised and delighted by the greeness of Corfu, and as much as don't like to repeat visiting places would definitely think of coming back here for a special occassion. unfortunately i'd forgotten some long trousers so didn't make as much use of the trails as i would have liked, something to remember for another time Thanks so much for creating such a lovely space for us to visit and stay

Excellent property with stunning views situated just outside of the village of Spartilas. Quiet location for a peaceful holiday. This villa is very well appointed and has everything you possibly need (and more). The owners have taken particular care to provide guests with a folder of detailed information regarding places of interest, local walks, beaches, and good tavernas worth visiting. A real treasure of useful info to make the most of your holiday. Thank you.

I hired Villa Petalutha to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. Villa was beautiful, well maintained and your every need catered for. The outside space and various terraces with seating gave you magnificent views over Corfu and surrounding countryside. The infinity pool was gorgeous. Would highly recommend.
Villa and views from various terraces beyond words
By Jacquimasters10 on 11-Jun-2016
Hired Villa Petalutha as a surprise for my husband to celebraterate his 60th birthday. When my family and I arrived at the villa we all thought how nice and well kept it was, but what laid behind the front door was a total utter surprise. The villa was beautiful and well kept inside and your every need was catered for, but the main surprise was outside. Various terraces with seating gave you magnificent views over Corfu town and surrounding countryside, and the infinity pool was breathtaking. We loved watching the swallows every morning swooping over the pool. My family and I never return to the same holiday accommodation twice, but we will certainly be making an exception with this beautiful villa.

I've recently returned from a week at the Villa. To say it is luxurious would be an understatement. The Villa itself was spacious and equipped with everything you'd need and more (great BBQ!). The infinity pool was a perfect way to cool down before taking to the pool table in the evening. There's loads of nice places/beaches/restaurants to stumble across on the way to the Villa. Id also highly recommend AQUALAND! Especially in May as the weather was great and it was just before peak season so there were no queues!! We found the location to be perfect with spectacular views (best location to view them from in my opinion is the hammock!) The local village was a short walk down the hill which was lovely to walk around and get a feel for the local culture. I really couldn't recommend the Villa highly enough it was a perfect relaxing getaway!
A tranquil Paradise

A beautiful 5**** villa, we certainly had a very comfortable stay. There's plenty to do with a very well equipped BBQ, an infinity pool, a pool table, the village a little walk away and lots of lovely beaches and places to eat nearby. The wifi was a big bonus too! A perfect holiday destination to relax and soak up the sun surrounded by stunning views. Cannot recommend highly enough!
The perfect holiday destination
By Louise S on 09-May-2016
Villa Petalutha is excellent, beautifully presented, secluded but not isolated with fantastic panoramic views in any direction day or night. It’s position halfway up the hillside is perfect for a peaceful relaxing holiday. It has everything you could possibly need to enjoy your holiday. The beds are comfortable and the villa is spotlessly clean. The variety of outdoor terraces provide a choice of areas to sit and relax or enjoy a meal - all with the amazing view that I think might be hard to beat anywhere on the island. The owners have obviously taken a great deal of care to produce a very detailed information pack which is especially ideal for the first time visitor. It has lots of recommendations for places to visit and eat - far too many to pack into just one week ! The instructions for the walk from the villa down to Spartilas are very accurate and we had no trouble following them ending up at the wonderful smelling bakery. The people in the village are friendly and very welcoming. We were there for their Easter parade, which is well worth seeing and hearing. The Spartlias choir, including the baker, sounded amazing. Driving around the island is lovely. There is always something different to see; a sea view, an ancient olive grove, green valleys and interesting unspoilt little villages. We particularly enjoyed the deserted village of Old Perithia, but it was not so deserted, as there is a choice of tavernas where you can sit sipping a cold beer or freshly squeezed orange juice whilst admiring the view. The choice of tavernas within easy reach of Villa Petalutha is unending but I would highly recommend the owners' choices in the information pack of Taverna Vitamins in Nissaki, Nikolas Taverna in Agni, Tavernaki in Kassiopi and A La Palea in Stinilas. The food and service is excellent. If you’re interested in wildlife, Corfu and Villa Petalutha are ideal. We saw the golden eagles soaring above the villa at the top of Mount Pantokrator and the fireflies in the garden. The swallows put on a spectacular display of accuracy, swooping down to take a drink from the pool. We spotted woodchat shrikes, subalpine warblers and heard the cuckoo but sadly couldn’t see it. A week is certainly too short a time to spend on Corfu and we will definitely be booking Villa Petalutha again and recommending it to all our friends.
A tranquil Haven

The photos do not do this villa justice....the views are spectacular and the villa is very well equipped ...kitchen, games video, wi-fi. There is a traditional barbecue on which we cooked a delicious meal of chicken, prawns and mixed peppers/aubergine for 8. There are several sitting areas ...some in direct sun, others in dappled shade. The villa is on several levels so not suitable for those who find stairs a problem. Crisp sheets, comfy beds. Directions to the property were excellent. We joked up that the only thing missing was a melon baller!!!
Wonderful, relaxing holiday in fantastic villa
By Leo Harrison on 07-Sep-2015
Set in a secluded hillside position with breathtaking views, Villa Petalutha more than lived up to our expectations. The property was very clean, comfortable and well maintained with all the facilities we could have wanted. If you want a place to get away from it all and unwind then this place is hard to beat. It was our first visit to Corfu and we were surprised how green it was, even at the height of summer. A car is essential here but it will also provide access to some great beaches and places to eat - including a fun Greek night with dancing at Taverna Nikolas in Agni. We were a family of 5, including kids of 19, 17 and 11. Everyone had a brilliant time and our only regret was that we couldn't spend longer than a week here.
A holiday that my family will remember forever
By Diane R on 24-Aug-2015
I spent a long time searching for the ideal villa for a special family holiday...and Villa Petalutha really was everything I hoped for. I was travelling with my husband, two sons and their girlfriends so had asked each person to state three wishes for their holiday. The combined wishes describe this villa perfectly - spacious, beautiful views, amazing pool, luxury outdoor seating and water sports and beaches not too far away. The beds are extremely comfortable and every bedroom has doors that open out to their own balcony/seating area. The drive up the mountain to the villa is an adventure, as is the task of squeezing through the narrow street that is Spartilas, but we learnt to love it....and that was with 6 of us in a people carrier! We would recommend hiring quad bikes. The ride to the top of the mountain is amazing and has a beautiful church at the top. In summary, if you want to spend a week doing nothing in a beautiful place, I would choose Villa Petalutha, or if you need a more adventurous holiday as my sons did (we scuba dived, hired a speed boat and quad bikes) again, villa Petalutha provides the most beautiful spot to access these. I have never gone back to the same villa for a holiday but with this one, it will be hard to resist.
The most fabulous holiday ever
By Blue_Millie24 on 04-Aug-2015
Villa Petalutha was the most amazing holiday for my husband and I, and our three grown up children and their friends. We woke up every day to views to die for and we had to keep pinching ourselves to make sure we weren't dreaming, as we felt like we were living the lifestyle of the rich and famous. The villa was more than five star and every need catered for. The villa manager Apostle was on hand to give great advice on where to visit locally and or afar and any concerns regarding the villa could be dealt with immediately (there were none during our stay) The cleaners were related to Apostle and were charming and none intrusive and ensured everything went smoothly and we were treated like royalty. The 25 hair pin bends, whilst a challenge on the first day, having never driven abroad before, let alone on such roads, became great fun on the quad bikes we hired and to be fair you don't get the stunning views without the climb. The locals were lovely and very friendly always waving and smiling as we negotiated the village in our 4 x 4's and quad bikes, and we tried many of the local Taverna's to get a true sense of living the 'Greek' way, with great food and drink. If you are looking for a holiday with a difference and with a bit of adventure then Villa Petalutha is a must. I cannot emphasis enough how spectacular a place it is and I would go back in a heart beat.
Everything and more!

We were a party of 8 traveling from Perth WA and the UK to celebrate my 50th Birthday. When choosing a villa for this occasion, Villa Petalutha jumped out at me as having everything we were looking for and we were not disappointed. From the spectacular vistas from all sections of the property, the well designed and appointed home, beautiful pool, walks, peach and tranquility....we had everything we needed to make our stay exceptional. Thanks to Apostle the property manager and Staff for looking after us so well, we had a fantastic night at Nicholas Taverna and at such a beautiful location. Now we have all returned to our respective countries and so we can only reminisce on what a wonderful, relaxing holiday it was and how jealous we are that the villa is not ours. Hopefully we will return one day but it will certainly be for longer next time!!! Thanks Debbie and David. Warm Regards Marie Sheehan Perth Western Australia. PS It was a wonderful way to spend my 50th Birthday!!
Stunning in every way
By Stuart O on 04-Jun-2015
We had an absolutely lovely holiday. This is a beautiful, stunning villa - it had everything and actually more than we had expected. The details provided on Owners Direct are very accurate, but what a view! We just kept finding ourselves saying 'this is ridiculous' when referring to the view. We could not find fault in anything and we can be quite analytical about such things. A beautiful place. We hope to return again. We have never said that about anywhere before....
By Sharon M. on 13-Jan-2015
The wonderful Villa Petalutha offers peace, tranquility and the most amazing views right around the house. Perfectly equipped in every way it really is a fabulous place to stay. The beaches on the coast are truly beautiful. The villa owners have created an amazing book telling you everything about the area, places to go and things to do. Ask the key holder about the shortcut to Barbati beach, well worth it. We'll definitely back.

A beautifully appointed villa set in a secluded location with breathtaking views of the mountains, Ipsos bay and Corfu town beyond. There are two excellent restaurants within a 10 minute drive and a local shop, cafe and snack bar in the nearby village of Spartilas. The villa has an impressive deck for dining and relaxing and a superb infinity pool that reached a comfortable temperature during our stay. If you are seeking seclusion and stunning views you will struggle to find better.
