Eastern Algarve Paradise
By Pet & Terry on 15-Sep-2025What a wonderful romantic getaway from it all paradise location. The villa is perfect for two. Every need catered for. So many areas to sit and enjoy the vistas. We used the swimming pool every day. It can be heated however, due to the gorgeous weather we didn’t need it. Cynthia and Andy are the perfect hosts. They were always there if we needed them. It does feel like you have the villa to yourselves though because they were very discreet. We would highly recommend a stay at Casa Tranquila, A car is a must as you are approximately 1km from the main road. But don’t let that put you off. Plenty of places to visit from the villa. Thank you 🙏 Cynthia and Andy for your kindness and lending us your beautiful home for the week. Love Pet & Terry 🥰🥰🥰
A wonderfully peaceful oasis
By Paula & Chris on 03-Sep-2025My husband and I have recently returned from this beautiful villa following 10 days of doing very little indeed other than relaxing and recharging. This is a peaceful, calm and tranquil villa situated in the hills outside of Tavira. The track leading up to the villa is easily navigated. When we didn’t want to drive in to Tavira, we used Uber which was easy and convenient and meant we could enjoy a few drinks over dinner. The villa truly is peaceful and the views of the surrounding hills magical. We left only to shop for provisions and have a wander around Tavira as the villa offered everything we needed and wanted. The pool was a delight and a really good size too. There were various areas to sit and chill out, have lunch and watch the sunset. The hosts, Cynthia and Andy, were very welcoming and hospitable and a good source of knowledge. They were on hand if we had any questions or queries and the welcome hamper was a lovely touch when we arrived. I could go on and on but I think it’s clear to anybody reading this review that my husband and I had a wonderful holiday at this beautiful villa, so much so we are already planning our return trip next year if Cynthia and Andy will have us back. Thank you Cynthia and Andy for sharing your little piece of paradise with us. Paula & Chris
First time to Portugal
By Elaine Fraser on 08-Jun-2025We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Portugal. Accommodation was exceptional, very comfortable and well equipped. The location was just what we like, in the countryside but amenities not too far away. Hosts were very helpful and thoughtful. We will be returning as lots more places to explore.

A wonderful week at Casa Tranquila
By Graeme McKimm on 13-Sep-2024We loved everything about our stay in this super accommodation. The property is of the highest standards and the pool was great and very private. Cynthia and Andy are delightful hosts, very helpful, available without being obtrusive. A car is essential as the property is located some distance off the road. We would have no hesitation in highly recommending Casa Tranquila.
Gorgeous & peaceful place to stay
By Naomi Mills on 19-Aug-2024Well what can I say about Casa Tranquila. It was an absolute pleasure staying in this little gem. We loved everything about this little house, nestled in the beautiful and peaceful Portuguese countryside. The facilities are everything you need for 2 people, with all the mod cons you could need. Including a full sized hair dryer, which you don’t always get in rentals. Pool was lovely and at 8m x 4m was definitely used daily with over 30c everyday. Cynthia and Andy were both lovely hosts and were on hand if we ever needed anything. I would definitely recommend a car when staying here. Plenty of parking on the property and we used the car port which meant the car was not too hot when we needed to pop out. It’s perfectly located, around 35mins from faro airport and that included us avoiding the toll. The town of Tavira is a 20 min drive, where you can get water taxis to the white sandy beaches. Andy and Cynthia provide beach chairs and umbrellas, which means you don’t have to pay for a lounger on the beach to get some shade. We both absolutely loved staying here and we cannot wait to come back. Thanks again Andy & Cynthia
