Loved our stay in Collemandina! Garfagnana region of northern Tuscany is a gem!
My newly pregnant partner and I had the great pleasure of staying at Casa Norma from 10/09/18 through 15/09/18....we only wish it could have been longer. The accommodation itself was spacious, well kept and beautifully furnished - we weren't left wanting for anything. As it was our 'baby-moon' it was just the 2(3) of us but it could quite easily have accommodate another 45. The pizza oven was such good fun and easy to use, we used it four out of five evenings. The grounds, and of course the pool, were superb. The pool had an 'infinity pool' feel to it as once you were in all you could see were surrounding mountains and the pictures really don't do it justice. Tracey and John were exceptional hosts. We had expressed an interest in a cooking course prior to our trip and everything was taken care of before we had even arrived. The night itself was great fun....I'm writing this now back in Manchester whilst waiting for my pasta dough to be fully rested. The scenery and surroundings are splendid, the local bars and restaurants were great and the house itself is breathtaking. I can't recommend it highly enough and we'll certainly be back. Casa Norma was a fabulous relaxing getaway for our family of 4 . The house has all the amenities you need for a holiday home . The views are spectacular and the pool is a good size . Plenty to do in the area walking , cycling , etc . The local food is fantastic as are the people . The house is decorated to a high standard and is comfortable . Great outside space for dining and relaxation . Full marks to Tracey and John. Can't wait to go back .
This lovely property has been lovingly restored and combines Italian charm with a clean and classy contemporary feel. Each bedroom is light and airy with top quality beds and bedding. But it is the view from the stunning bathroom that we will never forget. The freestanding bath looks out of the window onto the mountains! The property is spotlessly clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. You could quite happily spend your entire holiday at the villa and its beautiful pool. But we enjoyed trips to Florence and Lucca by train as well as lots of walking in the Garfagnana National Park.
This accommodation was superb , the house was tastefully decorated with everything you need. The views were to die for. our family which included of our 2 older children hung out at the beuatiful pool, the outside space and gardens are well tended and peaceful. This was one of our best holidays ever we will be back .
Beautiful area - the house has recently been refurbished to a very high standard, stylishly maintaining a lovely Tuscan feel, very clean and comfortable.The views from the pool are great. Accurate to the listing and good customer service. I would happily recomend this property and area to friends and family. There is an abundance of great reasonably priced traditional Resturants as well as fine dining for a treat. Great area for walks and touring about the breathtaking scenery .
