We had an idyllic stay in Villa Luisa in June 2018. The location is secluded in a rural setting amongst olive trees and distant woodlands. It sits on a hill with extensive and stunning views over the cultivated fields of the Val d'Orcia. The spacious villa has every conceivable comfort. Every bedroom is beautifully decorated, soundproof and private. Each has its own well-designed bathroom. The living rooms are tastefully, luxuriously and stylishly furnished with beautiful art works. There is an excellent sound system. A large television screen is in a separate room with an extensive choice of movies for night time entertainment. The large kitchen is extremely functional with every piece of cooking equipment one could think of, all in spotless, as new condition. There is plentiful crockery, cutlery together with multiple serving dishes and utensils of every kind. The appliances are in perfect condition each accompanied by detailed instructions. (This was helpful as we were not used to an induction cooktop). There are two outdoor terraces set up with large dining areas to enjoy alfresco eating and the views. The villa is surrounded by wonderful gardens providing not just vistas of flowering plants and hedges but usefully, smaller herbs and aromatic banks of lavender and rosemary. There is a large swimming pool together with comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas. The pool is automatically covered overnight to maintain its pristine condition as well conserving the temperature of the water. A great feature of the villa is the housekeeper who comes six days a week. She is discreet, very helpful, kind and meticulous in ensuring everything is in immaculate order. A gardener tends the gardens regularly. The owners generously provide little luxuries such as lovely soap and shower gel, high quality linen and general basic necessities. The Miele equipped laundry is stocked with detergent and other washing and cleaning products. There are plentiful guidebooks together with pages of excellent, well-researched suggestions for local excursions, restaurants and hikes. Villa Luisa is best described as staying in a super luxurious much loved home in beautiful surroundings with every comfort and facility provided for a memorable holiday.
5***** We had a wonderful time in this exquisite home in Tuscany. The house was superb with every detail thought of. The pool and scenery were just what we were looking for. The location, between Montepulciano and Pienza was ideal and allowed for day trips and then a return home to this lovely secluded home with beautiful vistas. We split our time between dinners at excellent local restaurants and also having gourmet italian meals prepared in the fully equipped kitchen. The home could not have been better appointed. We have rented many homes over the years but this was, by far, the best one. The owners have thought of everything and their detailed instructions made for a very easy stay. We cannot say enough nice things about the villa and hope to return for another stay. David
5 of 5stars We were a group of 3 couples, long-time close friends celebrating turning 70 years old. We had set a high benchmark for this special occasion, and Terra Bianca exceeded our expectations in every way. After spending time in this lovely villa, the ladies in the group are inspired by its luxurious and tasteful décor. The color schemes, furnishings and renovation of the villa are fresh and current. From the artwork down to the bathroom fixtures and modern appliances, everything was of the best quality. We all agreed that the villa, its grounds, pool area, numerous patios and dining options could be featured in an issue of Architectural Digest Magazine. The house manager/keeper, Samuella, was so pleasant and helpful, and our personal chefs Alessandro and Eleanora from Tuscan Chef were outstanding. We were very glad we had chosen to dine "at home" because the comfort, ambiance and customized menus were perfect. The view of the valley from the villa is unmatched at any time of the day. All plantings and gardens are well kept by the gardener and a true delight, filled with fragrant roses of many colors and types. We have been posting on FaceBook and have received many comments from "envious" friends. The members of our group are well traveled and have been privileged to stay in the finest lodging throughout the world. All agreed that for many reasons this was one of our favorites. We truly hated to leave this idyllic setting and plan to make a return visit. Submitted: May 28, 2017 Stayed: May 2017
