Description

The house is set on the hills in front of the Apuan/Appenine mountains in Lunigiana in the Northern tip of Tuscany. Access is via a private road and the property is set in 3 hectares of land providing complete privacy. The land beyond is predominantly woodland. The house was built 10 years ago using traditional methods. The roofs are constructed using chestnut beams. The floors downstairs are stone and upstairs are solid oak. All the doors, shutters and staircase are hand-made. The pool is 15m x 6m. The depth is c.1.10m in the shallow end and c.2m in the deep end with a diving board. In addition to the terraced area surrounding the pool there is in total 200+ sq.m surrounding the house, ideal for relaxing and dining. The house has a fast speed internet connection via a fixed cable or wireless.

The table tennis table and table football ensure that there's something to do in between relaxing and relaxing!

Days out can be spent walking, in the mountains, visiting festas or trips to the coast including Lerici, Forte dei Marmi and Viareggio. For day trips to the Cinque Terre we recommend the train from Villafranca which goes direct. A fantastic day trip is the 9.14 a.m. direct to Monterosso, a walk around the town, lunch at one of the many restaurants or our friends restaurant on the cliff tops then take the boat back to La Spezia. An aperitivo in the town then the train back to Villafranca/Bagnone.

We always have a chilled bottle of Prosecco and some cold beers waiting for you in the fridge. If a glass of red is your thing we have that covered too. Some basic essentials are supplied but if you have any other special requirements that you would like ready for your arrival please don't hesitate to ask. Fresh vegetables from the garden and fresh eggs are availble for free.

Beautiful house in a fantastic location set in acres of vines and olives. Private and yet close to the old town of Bagnone, so also convenient. Helpful owners willing to help arrange trips and make useful recommendations about restaurants and sights. A perfect holiday.

Simply Stunning!

This villa is simply stunning. The interior has been finished to a high standard. It has a modern feel however incorporates the traditional features that you would expect from a Tuscan villa. The oak beams, staircase and floors all add to its charm. The kitchen is very modern and has every appliance that you would need...especially the American style fridge and separate wine chiller! On arrival the villa was pristine clean. There was a very generous welcome pack left for us which included wine, beer, juices, bread, cheese, meat and eggs. In fact, eggs were provided daily from the owners chickens located close to the villa. We were also able to make use of the abundant fresh produce grown on the vast grounds of the villa. The views at the villa are simply breathtaking. We have been to a range of villas in Italy and around the world with fantastic views, but the views from this villa have to be seen to be believed. The views can be appreciated from all of the rooms within the villa as well as from the various outdoor areas including the pool area and patio areas. The villa is secluded which provides peace and tranquillity however for practical reasons a car is essential. All in all we had a wonderful time, so pleased I found it!

We just had the most relaxing and wonderful time! We didn't expect the villa and the surroundings to be that beautiful and luxury (even thought that some of the comments could be bought ) but now I am sitting here in a grey Vienna nothing but sad that we didn't book 2 weeks! David was the most patient, helpful and laid back host! We will definitely come back! Thank you
