Lovely family break
By Julia C on 13-Sep-2018
We had a lovely peaceful stay at Nicki’s beautiful villa. The listing was very accurate. My husband & I stayed with my 19 year old son , my older daughter & her partner. The layout, with the separate outside seating areas, was one of the attractions, but we ended up all sitting together most of the time on the glorious roof terrace. There is sun & shade in different places all day so everyone should be happy. The property was clean & cleaned once during our stay & the villa was well equipped. The supply of beach towels was great as some of us only had hand luggage. Nicki provides a great welcome pack. She also provided us with names of restaurants with different price ranges & running/ walking routes round Vale Do Lobo. On one of the these routes , out the back of the villa, we found out best beach . It is to the west of Vale Do Lobo down a track, but had sun loungers & sun shades to hire. We went for the afternoons & paid €5 for 3 of us. It was €39 for the same at the Vale Do Lobo beach, which was more crowded. There is a lovely restaurant there that also sells ice cream & drinks. That is where the decent toilet facilities were too. The local shop in Vale Do Lobo is excellent. We didn’t shop anywhere else. Good prices & friendly staff, who mostly speak English or they find a colleague who does. The bakery is to die for. Sometimes it is quicker to buy the bakery produce in the main shop rather than queue at the coffee & cake counter ( get a numbered ticket at the coffee counter ) as the lady spends a lot of time making coffee ( the bakery produce comes from the same place) Overall a great place to stay. I would recommend anyone to do the same .
Feels (our) home!

Lovely place, cozy and warming! We love it, and Nicki is always available for anything
Fantastic comfortable villa
By Marie Louise Milbourn on 08-Aug-2018
A beautiful spacious villa with stylish interiors. It is equipped with all amenities to make your holiday very comfortable. It was very clean and well maintained internally and externally. The villa location is in a quiet cul de sac but near to great restaurants and bars at the Praca. The highlight has to be its rooftop terrace which is great for enjoying a glass of wine and watching the sun going down! The owners made the booking very easy and were very informative of Vale do Lobo and what it had to offer. I would highly recommend this property.
Comfortable villa with great owners

My wife and I stayed at Nicki's lovely house 19th to 26th May 2018, and found the house was perfect for us. The downstairs has a spacious living room with dining area that opens out onto a terrace with barbeque and plunge pool, well equipped kitchen (including Nespresso machine with 10 complimentary pods when we visited, as well as washing machine and dishwasher etc) and a downstairs bedroom and separate shower room/cloakroom. Upstairs are two ensuite (1 shower, 1 bath with shower) bedrooms, with the master bedroom having a terrace which caught the afternoon sun. There are stairs from this terrace up to a good-sized roof terrace equipped with sun loungers and a dining table. Key collection was simple, with the keys being held exactly where Nicki said they would be in her detailed instructions. The house was cleaned 3 times while we were there by the management company, with their staff being unobtrusive. The living room has a television with British satellite channels available, and we got into a nice routine of having a glass of red wine (Joao Clara Negro Mole – excellent Algarve red wine available at the Apolonia in Amancil) on the roof terrace as the sun went down, before relaxing in front of the TV to watch a film. One of the main things that we enjoy about staying at a villa rather than a hotel is having a wider choice of places to eat, and the area around Vale Do Lobo provides an abundance of options, with many good recommendations provided by Nicki in the information she sent us before we travelled. We ate well at 2 Passos (great fish - good tippers get the bells rung at the bar as they leave!), Marufos 1 (specialises in chicken cooked simply over charcoal, as well as seafood), and A Quinta amongst others. Not only did Nicki provide us with information on places to eat, but she also helped us by recommending a car hire company, as well as running routes around the local area and down to the beach. Nothing was too much trouble for her - she was quick to reply to all messages (whether by text or email) and we had a really good talk before making our booking (only cut short as I had a dinner reservation to get to!) where she came across as a very genuine person who we could be comfortable would do their utmost to ensure we had a great time in their villa. We could not have asked for anymore from somebody renting out their villa to us - we really enjoyed our holiday and we cannot recommend her highly enough.

Beautiful villa and very spacious! Very clean with lovely decoration on a beautiful complex! The only downside was that you couldn't walk anywhere from the villa it was always a taxi drive away so either hire a car or prepare for the taxi fares but overall would highly recommend :)

Fabulous Sepember break in Vale do Lobo
By Marion F on 22-Sep-2016
Having visited Vale do Lobo numerous times previously we knew the resort, restaurants and facilities well. We were impressed with the description and location of the villa and this did not disappoint at all on arrival. Communications in advance were detailed and timely. The villa is spacious, well equipped and tastefully decorated. The cleaning service was discreet. The location is great being in a gated residency but close to the supermarket and an easy walk to the beach and Praca What really made our break memorable was the great communications, information sharing and flexibility about our stay from Nicky, the owner. Her knowledge of the resort and enthusiasm to share her enjoyment of it was commendable. She even organised fabulous weather. We would recommend a visit to others and hope to return in future.
Lovely, modern, comfortable villa
By Dawn C on 19-Sep-2016
We really enjoyed staying in this villa. It was exactly as we expected with some added extra's such as a private roof terrace which was a complete sun trap! The villa is equipped with a modern feel and has absolutely everything you need and is all of good quality. Very comfortable, a great area and location. Thank you, have booked again for next year.

We had a fantastic family holiday in Vale Do Lobo. The beach, restaurants and supermarkets just a 5 minute drive away. The villa was perfect, beautiful interior and spotlessly clean. The pool is an ideal size for children and we enjoyed sitting on the terraces at night.
Fabulous - even better than expected
By Annabel H on 20-Aug-2016
We stayed in Nicki's villa for 2 weeks and had one of our best family holidays. Two adults and 4 teenagers. The villa is spacious, 4 separate terraces (with distant sea view from 2), big bedrooms, comfortable beds, good showers, everything in excellent order. Really appreciated Nicki's attention to detail and prompt response to any enquiries. She definitely goes the extra mile. Vale do Lobo is perfect for families, excellent beaches, great supermarket & variety of restaurants on site, the circuit bus ideal for travelling around the resort. Highly recommend the villa and plan to be back.

We had a lovely holiday in your Villa and found the owners very helpful we had cleaners in regularly and the house is just beautiful with plenty of space for all. Many thanks and we will be back
Very impressive Villa both inside and outside.
By Sandra Coughlan on 01-Jul-2016
This was our second holiday to this beautiful Villa which is finished to a very high standard. The owners provided detailed lists of restaurants for all tastes. This area has the best selection of restaurants in relatively close proximity to VDL and for those who like a more active holiday the cycle and running routes suggested ensured no time was lost once you arrive. The tiered south facing terraces provide the ultimate outdoor dining or relaxing experiences. For those who appreciate a good quality bed, all the beds provide the perfect nights sleep dressed in crisp white cotton sheets . The Villa is regularly serviced by cleaning and gardening staff. I would recommend this Villa to anyone wanting to explore Vale de Lobo and surrounding areas. The Coughlan family will be back again.

What a perfect bolthole! We had a fantastic stay, the villa is gorgeous, spacious, very clean and beautifully decorated. High quality bed linen, beds and towels were an added luxury. Wonderful Vale do Lobo accommodationRua
By David L on 04-Apr-2016
We had a brilliant short break at Nikki's villa at Easter. The accommodation was beautiful and had excellent facilities. We did not go in the pool as it was too cold for swimming but this was due to the time of year! There are three lovely seating areas to enjoy the sun and all three were used by our family of 4 . Two adults and two older teenage children - who found the WIFI essential. We would definitely book again. As with most properties on this resort you need a car to go to the restaurants but can walk to and from the supermarket if only needing small purchases. The bedding and decoration made a great difference. They gave a 5 star feeling. Prior to our trip the owner Nikki went to great lengths to give us information she thought would be useful for our trip - including running routes. The management company were efficient too. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
A beautiful property

If you want a relaxing, peaceful holiday in a beautiful property set in a perfect location book this villa
By Fraser B on 08-Jun-2015
This a fantastic villa in a great location, close enough to walk to the Praca but far enough away to be relaxing. Great panoramic views from the roof terrace and the villa is modern, tastefully decorated and has all modern appliances. Wish we could have stayed for a few more weeks but will hopefully return next year.
By Pete And Sue on 25-Mar-2015
We had a very relaxing March stay here. The listing description regarding location and layout was accurate, though were surprised to find the description of facilities/equipment was understated, particularly in the kitchen. During the hot spells we loved using the different terraces - comfortably furnished and all with views - the roof terrace has a sea view and the villa backs on to unspoiled pine forest. In cooler periods the Cable TV and log burner were great. Maid service was provided 3 times per week and the owner gave excellent customer service via instant e-mail return. Before the start of our holiday Nicki had provided directions and useful info on local restaurants/facilities. The local agents were also helpful and on hand. We would definitely recommend this property to others and hope to make a return visit ourselves. Thanks Nicki!

This villa was everything you could possibly want and more for a relaxing holiday in a fabulous location. All mod cons, brilliant large screen tv and very fast internet which is a must with two teenage daughters!! Lovely peaceful setting, only 10 minute walk to the beach. Beautiful views from the roof terrace. Would definitely recommend, five out of five.
Villa in the sun
By Pam on 10-Dec-2014
Had a lovely week in this gorgeous villa with my husband and grown up son and daughter. Very spacious with lots of outdoor seating on different levels. Beautifully furnished, like a home from home. Beds really comfortable with lovely bedding. We all loved it and would definitely rent again.
Immaculate villa with luxurious touches.
By LHJ on 14-Aug-2014
We stayed at this villa recently. We're very fussy indeed and used to staying in five star hotels and I always feel slightly nervous booking rental villas as you don't know what you're getting but I was not disappointed here. The owner is very professional and responded quickly to any emails and questions. She clearly cares a great deal for the property and for her guests' experiences. We enjoyed luxury touches such as the extremely high quality fine bed linens and decent towels. So often rental villas have thin rubbish towels and cheap bedding and I wouldn't have that at home so why put up with it on holiday! The villa is stylishly decorated with comfortable sofas, new TV, fast wifi and a very well-equipped kitchen. There's a Nespresso machine, and although we don't drink coffee much, for those who do this is welcome I'm sure. The pool is smallish but large enough for a dip and playing in for children. There is a lovely roof terrace with a view but you do have to go through the master bedroom with your drinks/ food/ guests to get to it. You definitely need a car here but then that's the case for all Vale do Lobo villas really as it is quite a large resort. Fab local restaurants include Maria's and BJ's. Visit Faro old town or Tavira for days out in more authentic Portuguese settings. Overall a very lovely villa with an impressively attentive and 'professional' owner who goes above and beyond. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.
