The village of Ozankoy (Kazafani )offers shops, restaurants and bars and is 15 minutes from Girne (Kyrenia) by car or Dolma bus. Many restaurants, bars, supermarkets, shops and places of historical interest including the harbour can be found in Kyrenia.
There are many historical sites to visit in North Cyprus. Among these are the Castle in Girne (Kyrenia) dating back to the Roman period, Hilarion, the Crusaders Castle, Bella Pais (the old monastery) Salamis ( Roman). There are many good beaches for relaxation or a swim in the Mediterranean. The closest, Karakum, is about one and a half miles away. There are 3 beaches known as Alagadir, they are conservation sites for turtles and are about 15 minutes away. There are many restaurants, some offering typical Cypriot fare, some curry or European fare and some offering fast food. The 18 hole golf course, which also has a restaurant, is a 20 minute drive away.
