Tinteillac is a spacious, well-renovated farmhouse displaying wooden beams and many original features. It is set within private grounds with a pool, surrounded by French countryside, perfect for families and groups. Local emenities in close by Verteillac and just 9 miles from the market town of Riberac for all other requirements. Riberac has supermarkets, outdoor pools and canoeing, as well as a weekly market.

There are many market towns to spend lazy days drinking coffee or enjoying a "plat du jour" lunch, as well as buying local produce and crafts. The large medieval town of Perigeaux is perfect for shopping and embracing some French heritage. The beautiful towns of Bordeille and Brantom are just 20 minutes away, located on the river Dronne with castles to explore as well as canoes and kayaks available to hire. There are plenty of local footpaths and opportunities for fishing nearby.
There is a large outdoor swimming lake/beach and water sports at St Martin De Riberac – only 30 minutes away and outdoor pools in the Riberac area.

The house consists of 5 spacious bedrooms on 3 levels, 3 of which feature elegantly designed en-suite bathrooms, with the other 2 sharing a shower-room on the same landing. There is also an under-stairs toilet. It includes 3 double bedrooms (2 are downstairs) and 2 twin singles, one of which has additional space with a futon (to sleep 12).
The large kitchen has many quirky features and forms a large focal point for the house, leading onto the front and back terraces which overlook sweeping fields and countryside. The kitchen leads into a Pigeonnaire with a well equipped utility room and the Master Bedroom with en-suite.
The living area is large and dramatic on a split level with 2 seating areas, where 2 double French windows open onto the back terrace. One double room (with en-suite) is accessed at the back of the lounge area and a patio door opening to the rear of the property.
A rustic wooden staircase leads off the entrance hall to the first level where one can escape to the Reading nook for a few moments peace and the first twin single room. This room has an elegant en-suite across the Pigeonnaire landing. The wooden stair case continues to the next level over a Mezzanine which over-looks the lounge area in true Romeo and Juliette style! This third landing has a double and twin single room as well as a bathroom with power-shower.
The front terrace overlooks the pool with extensive views across the Dordogne country side and ample sitting area. The shady, back terrace sits within a low enclosed wall perfect for al fresco dining and drinks while watching the sun set.
There is plenty of space for parking as well as a large disused barn attached to the property.

Tinteillac is well-equipped for all your needs. The Lounge has a small DVD player with a range of DVDs, games and puzzles for entertainment. The kitchen includes a fridge, dish washer, toaster, kettle and coffee machine. There is an additional fridge and a freezer in the utility room as well as washing machine, iron and board and hair dryer. A high chair and travel cot is also available at the house. All linen is included (but not pool towels).

The property is set back from a small lane on its own private land. It is next to the abandoned castle, Chateau Teinteillac and there are no other neighbours.
An acre of private lawns with natural hedges and trees for boundaries.
8M by 4M swimming pool with pool furniture. Please note the pool has an alarm and cover but no fencing around for additional safety.
To the front of the property there is garden furniture to dine and relax with as well as pool-side loungers.
To the rear of the property is a shaded courtyard with outside dining and BBQ.

Check in from 15.00 in most cases and check out by 10.00. This can be flexible depending on availability and other bookings. The property is accessible using a key safe on the outside of the property.

Tinteillac is a 5-6 hour drive from Caens ferry port. Bergerac airport is 69km, Bordeaux airport 98km and TGV train links are available from Perigueux (35km).
The closest major town is Riberac, 17km.
