Thank you both for coming to stay in the Cottage for the first time. Thank you too for your kind review . We try hard to make the cottage a home from home and it is always good to know when guests have been happy with their visit. It will be grand to have you to stay again-I hope it will be soon. Lovely relaxing retreat near the coast
By Graham Atkinson on 27-Jun-2025We’ve returned to this cottage for two weeks every summer for the past five years, which says a lot about how special it is. The house is always immaculate on arrival, with plenty of space and everything you could need already in place; no scrambling for utensils or basics. It’s wonderfully quiet and restorative, a place to properly switch off, yet you can step out and be on the beach and coast path in no time. The owner is unfailingly friendly and welcoming, which adds to the relaxed feel. From here, exploring South Cornwall is effortless: charming villages, gardens, coves and headlands are all within easy reach by car. We especially love days on The Lizard with the dramatic scenery, great walks and those turquoise bays. After five summers, it still feels like the perfect Cornish retreat. Highly recommended.

Thank you so much for your kind words and for taking the time to do the review. Thank you too for coming to stay every year, it is always a pleasure to see you both again . The rest of the lane is about to be resurfaced-so running and walking will be that bit easier next time you come! Best wishes to you both Chris
Fabulous location, cottage has all you need.
By Helen Rasell on 08-Aug-2025Cute cottage with parking. Comfy beds and all you need kitchen equipment wise. Good WiFi. Great outhouse area to put shoes, wetsuits, boards, towels etc. Short walk to the beach, village amenities and the costal path. Lovely log burner if you visiting in the cooler months. Quiet location and the cottage benefits from a little courtyard area with outdoor seating and 2 sunloungers. What’s not to love? We’ve been coming here for around 11 years now. You’ll love it!

Thank you Helen for your kind and appreciative words-and thank you too for coming to stay with us over the years. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to see your young family grow into adults and still come on the family holiday. We look forward to seeing you all again next year too-meanwhile stay safe and enjoy! Chris
Perfect Location for a Cornish Holiday near the Sea
By Rob, Sue and Andrew Holman, Norfolk on 18-Jul-2025Cwary Vean is a well appointed, comfortable and dog-friendly cottage with all modern facilities in a quiet location close to the South Wect coast path and sea. We have visited on four occasions and will be returning again in 2026, this time for two weeks. The location is fabulous: a small track takes you directly, in less than 10 minutes, from the back gate to the coastal footpath and Polurrian beach, from where you can walk in either direction - south to Mullion Cove and beyond, or in a northerly direction where there are a further three beaches within a comfortable 30 minute walk. The scenery and views are spectacularly beautiful. The village centre of Mullion is a 10 minute walk away, with two small supermarkets and pub which provides good pub food. Cwary Vean is also an ideal base to explore the Lizard peninsula and the rest of south west Cornwall, with its range of attractive beaches and visitor attractions. The owner of the cottage, Chris, lives adjacent to the property and is and invariably helpful, whether to provide local advice or to assist with any problems or difficulties. All in all the perfect location for a Cornish coastal holiday.

Thank you Rob, Sue and Andrew- it was grand to welcome you all back this year for a third visit; especially now we can show off the resurfaced lane and new beach facilities. Thank you taking the time to write such a kind review-we do try hard to make everything the best we can and it's good to know that your holiday was a success-We are looking forward to seeing you all again next year, for two weeks this time! Kind regards Chris
A perfect place to stay
By Judy and John on 28-Feb-2025This was our third visit to this lovely cottage. We appreciate the clean and welcoming accommodation. The conservatory with a view down to the sea is a great place to sit and enjoy a lazy breakfast or two. There is a very good shower and the master bedroom is very comfy. The kitchen is well equipped and clean. The cottage is dog friendly and the utility area is great to dry wet doggy feet etc. The whole cottage is just an easy place to enjoy your holiday break. John does appreciate having the WiFi too I haven't even mentioned the location yet . The garden gate leads down to a path leading to a sandy cove only a few minutes walk away. There are lovely walks in both directions along the coast path, a fabulous beach cafe at Poldhu beach (open 363 days a year) and a great menu at two hotels both within easy walking distance. We don't use the car all week. The friendly owner Chris is there to help but only if you need him to. That's the long review. The short one is "We love it here - it suits the two of us and our two pups perfectly. Already looking forward to our return in 2026"
Owner response on 13-Mar-2025
Dear Judy and John, Thank you for making Cwary Vean your regular spring holiday venue and thank you too for taking the time to give us a review. ( I know revues aren't your usual thing). It is always a pleasure to have longtime guest friends return and particularly good to see you, John, Hatti and Penn all looking so well this year. See you all in 2026! Chris
Super stay in a great location
By Jayne and john on 05-Apr-2024Even with stormy weather outside we had a warm and comfortable base to return to. Great location for easy walk to coast paths and a quiet spot to hear the many birds around us. The cottage was well suited for 🐶 with a covered space to clean sandy paws!
