We recently had the pleasure of spending a week at La Grange de Lavende in Villeréal, and it was, without a doubt, one of the best French holidays our family has experienced. The house is a beautifully restored farmhouse with wonderful surroundings. The house itself has a rustic charm but with modern comfort. The traditional French elements and contemporary touches, made it feel both luxurious and welcoming. The spacious living areas, comfortable bedrooms, and well-equipped kitchen ensured that we had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The outdoor space was equally impressive. The large, private garden with a pool provided outside areas with plenty of room for the children to play and for the adults to relax. La Grange de Lavende is well located with Villeréal just a short drive away. We loved exploring the local area, visiting nearby towns and villages. The peace and tranquility of the countryside, combined with the convenience of being close to such a lovely town, made this the perfect base for our holiday. The owners of La Grange de Lavende were very welcoming and informative, and even though they live on site, we were hardly aware of them. In summary, La Grange de Lavende exceeded all our expectations. It provided the perfect setting for a large family holiday, with its wonderful house and stunning location. We left feeling completely rejuvenated and can't wait to return. Highly recommended!
La Grange was the perfect place for our multi generational holiday. Everything about it was lovely.
The property was beautiful and had absolutely everything you would need. Karen (and Nick and Hudson) were the perfect hosts. So accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. Was always bothering Karen by text for information on something or other in the local area but she was always quick to respond. Karen had thought of everything and there are toys and games a plenty, as well as books and DVDs. Kitchen facilities and equipment also spot on. Could have baked cakes and cooked a meal for 10 easily. Not that you want to be indoors too much in this house, as the outdoor areas are just beautiful and the swimming pool is glorious. Local area is lovely and Villereal has so much going on. Lots to see and do. 100% recommend. Even our dog loved it - she thought she lived there by day two!
We had an excellent stay at La Grange de Lavande for a week in mid-June 2024. The house is very well appointed with specious light rooms and everything you would need and expect from a large family holiday home. Outside there is even more space, loads of private parking, a wide selection of outside areas both in and out of the sun, and the just completed new pool and decking are superb. The house is in a wonderfully quiet rural setting, but within an easy short drive to the most beautiful bastide small town of Villereal that has a large supermarket, as well as fantastic local shops and a not to be missed weekly market. Other equally stunning bastide towns are all within easy reach too. Absolutely a 5-star experience that we would highly recommend.
We had a week in early June '24 at La Grange de Lavande, and absolutely loved it. The property is spacious, well appointed, and met all of our needs. The star of the show is the huge outside area, with two separate eating areas and plenty of comfortable seating to enjoy the sun which is in the garden all day. The pool is brand new, and the adjoining hot tub was a real treat. The house is well situated close to the beautiful medieval towns of Villareal and Issigeac, which have several good local restaurants. Finally hosts Karen and Nick were attentive, generous and helpful without imposing in anyway, and had several good local recommendations. This is a first class property which has been prepared with real care, and a great location for a relaxing holiday in beautiful rural France. Definitely worth a return visit!
We spent 10 days here as 2 families, absolutely stunning home, loads of space and very comfortable. Every room has so much character and beautifully decorated. The outdoor area is fab, huge garden, gorgeous pool and several sitting areas. We loved it here, very peaceful- star gazing an added bonus! Karen the owner was very helpful with local advice and super generous with home grown fruit! We enjoyed cycling to Villereal in the mornings for breakfast, the night food market at Issygeac is a must. Lots to see in the area inc. Many medieval villages which were stunning. Fantastic home and area, highly recommend.
