A variety of restaurants & shops, including several supermarkets are within easy reach as is a twice weekly market in the interesting old walled town of Alcudia and nearby Pollensa. The self contained accommodation has large twin beds, living area with English and German library, kitchenette, spacious fully tiled shower and separate WC. Alcudia, the original Roman capital of Mallorca, is a delightful traffic free walled town with natural stone faced houses lining its narrow streets and a large market area twice weekly. Its port is 3 kms away and, like the town, has good parking facilities and a huge variety of restaurants, tapas bars and shops. The traffic free waterfront looks on to the smart Marina, the fishing port and the harbour with ferries to Menorca (2/4 hours) and the Mainland, Toulon and Corsica. It is the start of a
n eight kilometer long white sand beach with very safe swimming. Alcanada is a superior residential area close to the port with its own quiet waterside walks, swimming and waterfront restaurant. Its golf course is one of the finest on the Island. Nearby are the other interesting towns of Pollensa, its Port, and Sa Pobla, a farming area untouched by tourism. The Albufera and Son Real Nature Parks are very close with museums, delightful walks, birdwatching hides and superb photo opportunities.

Golf: Alcanada Golf Course is considered by many to be the finest on the Island. Trent Jones designed its 18 holes offer a fair challenge in a truly magnificent setting with several holes overlooking the Bay. Excellent club house and pro shop. It is less than five minutes away by car. Pollensa Golf Course is 15 minutes away by car and provides an interesting 9 holes. The club house is magnificently sited ensuring an inspiring 10th or 19th hole.
Several other of Mallorca's courses are easily reached by car and all have full facilities for hiring clubs, trollies and buggies.
