Description
ARTESORO BASERRIA is a bio-built detached-house for full rental, environmentally sustainable materials were used with minimal impact on their inhabitants. It is located in the village of Galdames (Biscay - Spain), surrounded by countryside which allows you to enjoy relaxing holiday time in nature, with walks up hills, flat vias verdes in Encartaciones. A great place to be based to visit the Guggemheim Museum in Bilbao, San Sebastian -Donostia, Santander, Cantabrico beaches, the Biscay Bridge, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe or beautiful coastal / inland villages of the Basque Country and Cantabria. Torre Loizaga (Roll-Royce car Museum is 500m. from us). Enjoy the excellent gastronomy of the Basque Country!Our villa includes 25.000 M2 of GARDENS, GREEN AREAS, ORGANIC ORCHARDS AND FRUIT TREES plus birdwatching HIDES. In our organic garden, you can pick fruits, vegetables and eggs from our hens, depending on availability. Children can feed our sheep.
THE MAIN FLOOR offers:
-Large modern &fully-equipped KITCHEN with cooker, oven, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher, fridge-freezer and a dining area with table for eight people. It is provided with automatic grain coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, juicer, blender, cleaning products, clothesline, iron, ironing board and all necessary utensils. A door gives access to THE COVERED TERRACE, furnished with 8 people table/chairs and garden sofas to enjoy beautiful views of our hilly surroundings.
-A TOILET provided with hairdryer. Full length mirror outside toilet.
-A full BATHROOM, provided with gel, shampoo, toilet paper, towels, hairdryer.
-A spacious LOUNGE equipped with a six-seater sofa, two rocking chairs and a 75' smart TV. Two doors give access to the covered terrace and the entrance
PORCH, also furnished with 8-people table and cozy reclining chairs.
-A BEDROOM with a 1.60 X 2.00 m comfortable double bed, TV, fan, wardrobe, sinfonier and desk with chair.
THE WOODEN ATTIC offers:
- A BEDROOM furnished with a 1.60X2m comfortable double bed, TV, fan, wardrobe, sinfonier and desk with chair.
A door gives access to an inner balcony with beautiful views.
- A BEDROOM furnished with a 1.40X2.00 m comfortable double bed, TV, fan, wardrobe, sinfonier and desk with chair.
- A LIVING SPACE with TWO comfortable SINGLE BEDS, wardrobes, sinfonier and a comfy SOFA-BED.
This area has access to the inner balcony with two rocking chairs.
- One full BATHROOM provided with gel, shampoo, toilet paper, towels, hairdryer.
All rooms in the house have individually adjustable heaters. Likewise, each level of the house is independently thermally regulated by two thermostats. Heating and sanitary hot water are obtained by a mixture of biomass as fuel and solar thermal collectors.
OUTDOORS:
- The CHILL-OUT AREA has a COVERED AND ILUMINATED BARBECUE as well as garden furniture (square parasol, sunbeds, armchairs and small round table).
- Small GYM with modern Elliptical, weight Bench and exercise mat.
- Parking place inside our property.
- ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGER available, consult.
- Electrical Gate to access the private property. Light iluminated garden out entrance house during all night long, in case you arrive late.
- Area of gardens for play, walk around.
- Lovely wooden 'Horreo' (typical of North Spain), used for havest storage.
- Organic Orchard and fruit trees.
- Hen house and sheep green area.
Our free WIFI is ideal for Home Office.
SHEETS, TOWELS are included. Travel cots/portable cribs (without sheets due to baby allergies), high chairs and security fences are freely available for babies.
Smoke detectors and fire extinguishers are placed in the house.

By David Enjuanes on 25-Oct-2025Nos alojamos en Artesoro Baserria un fin de semana y estuvimos genial. La casa es muy grande y está muy bien equipada. Además de todos los electrodomésticos necesarios, Laura nos dejó café, aceite de oliva, leche... y un bizcocho casero riquísimo. La finca alrededor de la casa es una pasada: hay un huerto, un montón de manzanos y otros árboles frutales, gallinas, ovejas... ideal para ir con niños y que la disfruten. En definitiva, un alojamiento increíble al que, estoy seguro, volveremos.

By Laura on 05-Aug-2025Der Wohlfühlfaktor lag bei 100%! Wir hatten einen absoluten traumhaften Aufenthalt im Haus Artesoro Baserria! Wir haben uns vom ersten Tag an wie zu Hause gefühlt. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt, und wenn doch, wurde es sofort bereitgestellt. Die Freundlichkeit war einfach herausragend, fast so, als würde man sich schon lange kennen. Besonders schön war, dass sich Robert & Laura viel Zeit genommen haben, um all unsere Fragen zu beantworten. - egal ob zur Farm, die Umgebung oder zum Land selbst. Ein echtes Highlight: Wir dürften Früchte direkt vom Baum, Gemüse aus dem Garten und sogar Eier aus dem Hühnerstall essen. Frischer geht es nicht! Und in Bio-Qualität! Alles in allem: absolute Empfehlung ! Wir sind super zufrieden und werden diese Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank für diese tolle Erfahrung

By Rishab on 30-Oct-2025Was one of the most beautiful and amazing houses' we've stayed in. Very well maintained and extremely clean, the surroundings were so picturesque! The kitchen and bathrooms has all the amenities and requirements you could think of and more! The kitchen especially has everything thing you need to cook and elaborate meal. the house is beautifully made decorated and is orchard is where you can sit and spend hours admiring the nature and beauty around. Highly recommend as a stay and we would have loved to stay here longer. Laura and Robert were wonderful hosts!

By Melissa on 21-Jul-2025Aanrader!! Wij hadden een fantastische vakantie. Het huis was boven onze verwachtingen. Alles was aanwezig: van kruiden, afwasmiddel tot haardroger, badhanddoeken en zeep. Niks te kort! Bij aankomst kregen we ook een lekkere attentie van Laura. De tuin was een grote meerwaarde. Onze jongste zoon ging elke dag de schapen eten geven en eitjes rapen. We aten ook zelfgeplukte tomaten, komkommer en courgette. In de buurt is er vanalles te doen. Wij bezochten Bilbao (op half uurtje rijden), gingen naar een rustig strand, maar genoten vooral van lange bergwandelingen ver weg van alle drukte. Hierbij kregen we heel wat tips van de gastvrouw. Het huis was kraaknet. Het huis is ook heel ruim met heel wat opbergruimte. Wij voelden ons meteen thuis. Onze jongste zoon houdt van voetballen en op de tweede dag zorgde de gastheer Robert voor een voetbal! Een week is eigenlijk te weinig, hier is zoveel moois te bezichtigen. Dit was voor ons de eerste keer in deze regio en komen graag eens terug!

By kirsten on 23-Aug-2025Das Haus von Laura und Robert ist eine Oase der Ruhe. Wir haben unsere Zeit dort sehr genossen inmitten der Hügel, Obstbäume, dem Gemüsebeet und den Hühnern und Schafen. Laura und Robert sind 2 wunderbare und herzliche Menschen, die sich liebevoll um ihre Gäste kümmern und alles tun, um den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Man spürt ihre Leidenschaft für die Natur und dem Wohlbefinden ihrer Gäste. Die Zeit war viel zu kurz um Meer, Berge, Städte und das Haus mit den gemütlichen Sitzecken , den Terrassen , den bequemen Betten und der gut ausgestatteten Küche ausreichend zu genießen- weswegen wir super gerne möglich bald zurück kommen möchten!

By Sandra on 26-Aug-2025What an amazing place and hosts. The house is so beautiful and extremely clean and the hosts are so friendly and welcoming. We was so surprised which the amount of land they have and all the fruit trees and animals. The host made us fell right at home right from the start and showed us everything. We were allowed to go fruit picking and even take some with us. We were also allowed to feed their goats and chickens which was a great experience for my kids. My son woke up everyday excited to go and see how many eggs he can collect from the chickens. I 100% recommend this place on anyone but especially families with young children. Hope to one day go back!!!
