Casa Christabel is a one-bedroom apartment with two single beds which can also be made up as a king size (request at the time of booking).
We welcome babies and children, however they must be included in the maximum number of guests. Infants under two are free and a cot with baby linen and high chair are also available, free of charge. Please request these at the time of booking.
The comfortable sofa bed in the living room also easily sleeps two extra 2 adults.
The apartment is set in very quiet surroundings, which will enable you to work from home if necessary. There is adequate space for you to set up a work station for your laptop and an extension lead with a usb charging port should you choose to work on the terrace.
There is a good mobile phone signal and we provide fast WiFi, free of charge.
Casa Christabel adjoins Casa Annabel which can be booked together to allow for larger groups of family or friends. Please ask the owner for any additional information required.
Our housekeeping team are pleased to be able to offer guests staying for 7+ nights, a mid stay clean (which includes a bed linen and towel change) at a cost of 60€. Please request this when making your reservation.
Requests for early check-in or check-out are subject to availability and are charged at half the nightly rental rate. This will be confirmed 48 hours prior to check-in.
There are 27 golf clubs within an hours drive from Casa Christabel y Casa Annabel, 11 of which are less than 30 minutes away and 3 within a 10 minute drive.
Spanish, U.K. & international TV plus Sky, movies and sports are included free of charge.
Please note there are steps down to Casa Christabel therefore it may not be suitable for those with walking difficulties.
Casa Christabel y Casa Annabel are fully licensed with the Spanish Authorities.
Please ensure you have adequate travel insurance in place prior to booking as I am unable to permit last minute cancellations.
Adequate time is allowed between stays to allow Casa Christabel to be properly cleaned and sanitised ready for you to enjoy your holiday.
We would prefer it if smokers did not make a reservation to stay in Casa Christabel and we thank you for your understanding!
Sustainability-We have recently invested in a solar powered hot water tank which holds 300 litres of hot water, (with a backup boiler for those few cloudy days) so you will never run out of hot water.
You will find reusable dish cloths & scourers for your pots and pans and instead of providing plastic bottles of mineral water you will find a lovely glass bottle of tap water waiting for you in the fridge when you arrive.
You will find lunch boxes & refillable bottles for to take drinks to the beach with you so there is no need to buy products in single use plastic wrapping or bottles. We have also installed pump dispensers of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel to the avoid the use of single use plastics.
Our housekeepers use eco-friendly cleaning products and the new washing machine uses only the minimum amount of water necessary. Our aircon is monitored so that it cannot be accidentally left on when you open the door or go out for the day.
You will find shopping bags and a wheel along crate to take to the shops so that you don’t have to buy plastic bags when you go shopping and we encourage our guests to sort and recycle rubbish. You will find beach toys, inflatables and a body board for your children so you don’t have to buy a new bucket and spade each time you stay. This avoids having plastic items abandoned on the beach.
Mi Jardin has a Spanish pueblo (village) atmosphere and was carefully constructed in a traditional Andalusian style.
Mi Jardin is perfect if you want to relax and get away from it all and yet all that the Costa del Sol has to offer is easily accessible.
The beautiful blue flag Carvajal beach with its highly recommended Spanish churinguito Kalifato and usual water sports, is a 15 minute (1.1km) walk away. N.B. it is a 20 minute-walk back as it is uphill. Why not treat yourself to a swim in the lovely pool on your way home?
The pool does not have a lifeguard however it is fully enclosed for safety.The pool is open from 1st march until 31st October and from 10 am-9 pm (10 pm in July and August)
Beach/pool towels are provided. We have provided sunbeds which you are welcome to carry to the pool.
The shops, pavement cafes, bars and the recommended Indian restaurant New Nirvana are at El Higueron, a 20 -minute walk (uphill) or 5 minutes and around 5€ in and Uber taxi. Aldi is only a further 5 minutes -walk away! Carvajal train station is 20 minutes-walk or 5 minutes and around 3.50€ in an Uber taxi, making Fuengirola, Benalmadena, Malaga City and the Airport within easy reach.
The trains run to the airport every 20 minutes and the station is inside the airport terminal
The journey to the airport takes just under 30 minutes and costs just over 2€.
When booking flights please note that the train stops running between 2330 and 0530, however a taxi will cost around 35€.
Airport transfers can be arranged on your behalf from 30€
There are bus stops at El Higueron at the top of the urbanizacion Torremar and also down by the beach.
A car is therefore not necessary however it would be an advantage if you like to explore.
Free communal parking is available.
Following the drought restrictions in Andalusia this summer, the community pool is open from Wednesdays to Sundays. The situation will be regularly reviewed.

The information provided by Sarah was spot on regards logistics, Uber (although costs slightly higher than suggested) Very clean apartment with everything possible utensil and kit you need inc. new kitchen and up to date smart t.v.
Relaxing and Peaceful
By Shel G on 01-May-2023Perfect home from home, it''s not short of anything you need for a lovely peaceful relaxing holiday even down to the shopping trolley to take to the supermarket at the top of the hill. The bed is huge and very comfortable. Glasses for every type of drink . We particularly enjoyed eating our breakfast on the terrace listening to the birds chirping away . The apartment is kind of in the middle on the end of Benalmadena and the start of Fuengerole and close to the train station at Carvajal which takes you all the way to Malaga via several other stops . The hill is a bit of a challenge if you''re not young lol but we just used the white Taxis . Can''t fault the apartment or Sarah''s communication.
Lovely Relaxing Break
By Fussy1 on 01-Apr-2023We were looking for a quiet , relaxing , get away from it all break and that is exactly what we got ! The apartment is in a lovely hillside location on a private estate which is beautifully maintained . The apartment has obviously recently been fully refurbished and is exceptionally clean . The hosts Sarah and Gary seem to have thought of everything you need for a self catering holiday and also provided us with a range of information prior to our arrival regarding the apartment . the area , and recommended restaurants ( some of which give you a discount on your bill ! ) . There is a residents only pool 5 mins from the apartment set in a lovely secure garden area . The seafront and its restaurants / bars are a leisurely 20 min walk or a taxi will cost 5 euros . We made good use of the local buses and trains to visit all the local resorts and attractions ( they''re reliable and cheap ) . Would highly recommend this apartment and will definitely stay again .
Peace, privacy, comfort and sunshine!
By Neil H on 01-Mar-2023Such a peaceful location to enjoy long lie-ins - no car noises on any side of the property, and no people walking past the door. Instead, birdsong, sunshine and privacy. And a nice view of the coast and sea! Giant double bed was a bonus - 6’ 6” in both directions! Casa Christabel is a really well prepared 1-bed apartment+ lounge/diner with everything we needed. It’s clear the owners care a great deal about giving a great customer experience, plus their communications were clear and always so helpful. Stayed next door in Casa Annabel in 2017, and that was lovely too of course (a studio apartment with King size bed). We’d stay again in either apartment! Read less
Superb Family Holiday
By Joanna Moore on 01-Oct-2021We have just returned from a stay in Casa Annabel & Casa Christabel apartments as a family of 6 and thoroughly enjoyed the quiet location and superb modern facilities. A great base to visit all the major surrounding towns and villages with easy access to walk down to the local beach and seafront town ( Uber back up the hill is easy and cheap to do at around €3 ) . Alternatively stay around the pool in the peaceful setting by the apartments. We hired a car which was easy to park outside and made for a hassle free holiday with trips to Mijas pueblo, Bennalmadama, Fuengirola, Marbella,Malaga and Torremolinos all within 30 mins drive. Great communication and information from the hosts before the stay gave peace of mind and reassurance that we had booked a fantastic holiday , which it was ! A return visit is on the cards or we may now try this families other apartment in Spain, knowing the quality will be the same high standard!
Wonderful apartments
By Lynne on 01-Oct-2021My husband, myself, my daughter& her partner & their baby spent a wonderful week at the apartments. They are so clean, equipped with absolutely everything you could think of and so very comfortable. The pool is a couple of minutes walk and we had it all to ourselves each time we used it. The area is wonderfully peaceful and the beach is an easy 15 minute walk away (but a rather longer walk back as uphill!!!) Beach was beautiful and the Mexican bar/cafe was especially good if, like us, you are vegans. The supermarkets close by were also good, as was the little store down by the beach. We can also recommend the fabulous Indian Nirvana which delivered to us. We did not hire a car but used Uber when we went out on trips and found it very reasonable. Sarah has lots of information in the apartments about the area and places to visit, along with discounts. The butterfly park was amazing. The Bio park in fuengirola is well worth a visit and the walk back (about 1 1/2 hours) along the coast is lovely and flat. Another must is the cable car, fantastic views and a great falconry show at the top. We will definitely return to the apartments, Sarah has been so helpful and her apartments are so well thought out and pretty.
