Description
Casa Annabel has a king size bed and a day bed which has a sprung base and a proper mattress.The day bed is suitable for 2 children or 1 adult.
Casa Annabel adjoins Casa Christabel which can be booked together to allow for larger groups of family or friends. Please ask the owner for any additional information required.
The apartment is set in very quiet surroundings, which will enable you to work from home if necessary. There is adequate space for you to set up a work station for your laptop and an extension lead with a usb charging port should you choose to work on the terrace.
There is a good mobile phone signal and we provide fast WiFi, free of charge.
Our housekeeping team are pleased to be able to offer guests staying for 7+ nights, a mid stay clean (which includes a bed linen and towel change) at a cost of 60€. Please request this when making your reservation.
Requests for early check-in or check-out are subject to availability and are charged at half the nightly rental rate. This will be confirmed 48 hours prior to check-in.
There are 27 golf clubs within an hours drive from Casa Christabel y Casa Annabel, 11 of which are less than 30 minutes away and 3 within a 10 minute drive.
Spanish, U.K. & international TV plus Sky, movies and sports are included free of charge.
Please note there are steps down to Casa Annabel therefore it may not be suitable for those with walking difficulties.
Casa Christabel y Casa Annabel are fully licensed with the Spanish Authorities.
Please ensure you have adequate travel insurance in place prior to booking as I am unable to permit last minute cancellations.
Adequate time is allowed between stays to allow Casa Annabel to be properly cleaned and sanitised ready for you to enjoy your holiday.
We would prefer it if smokers did not make a reservation to stay in Casa Annabel and we thank you for your understanding!
Sustainability-We have recently invested in a solar powered hot water tank which holds 300 litres of hot water, (with a backup boiler for those few cloudy days) so that you will never run out of hot water.
You will find reusable dish cloths & scourers for your pots and pans and instead of providing plastic bottles of mineral water you will find a lovely glass bottle of tap water waiting for you in the fridge when you arrive.
You will find lunch boxes & refillable bottles to take drinks to the beach, so there is no need to buy products in single use plastic wrapping or bottles. We have also installed pump dispensers of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel to the avoid the use of single use plastics.
Our housekeepers use eco-friendly cleaning products and the new washing machine uses only the minimum amount of water necessary. Our aircon is monitored so that it cannot be accidentally left on when you open the door or go out for the day.
You will find shopping bags and a wheel along crate to take to the shops, so that you don’t have to buy plastic bags when you go shopping and we encourage our guests to sort and recycle rubbish. You will also find beach toys, inflatables and a body board for the children so that you don’t have to buy a new bucket and spade each time you come to stay. This avoids having plastic items abandoned on the beach.!
Mi Jardin has a Spanish pueblo (village) atmosphere and was carefully constructed in a traditional Andalusian style and is set in beautifully maintained landscaped gardens.
Mi Jardin is perfect if you want to relax and get away from it all and yet all that the Costa del Sol has to offer is easily accessible.
The beautiful blue flag Carvajal beach with its highly recommended Spanish churinguito Kalifato and usual water sports, is a 15 minute (1.1km) walk away. N.B. it is a 20 minute-walk back as it is uphill. Why not treat yourself to a swim in the lovely pool on your way home?
The pool does not have a lifeguard however it is fully enclosed for safety. The pool is open from 1st March to 31st October and from 10am -9pm ( 10pm in July and August)
You will find beach/pool towels in your apartment You will also find sunbeds to take to the pool.
The shops, pavement cafes, bars and the recommended Indian restaurant Nirvana are at El Higueron, a 20 -minute walk (uphill) or 5 minutes and around 5€ in and Uber taxi. Aldi is only a further 5 minutes -walk away!
Carvajal train station is 20 minutes-walk or 5 minutes and around 3.50€ in an Uber taxi, making Fuengirola, Benalmadena, Plaza Mayor, Malaga City and the Airport within easy reach.
The trains run to the airport every 20 minutes and the station is inside the airport terminal
The journey to the airport takes just under 30 minutes and costs just over 2€
When booking flights please note that the train stops running between 2330 and 0530, however a taxi will cost around 35€.
Airport transfers can be arranged on your behalf from 30€
There are bus stops at El Higueron which is at the top of the urbanizacion Torremar and also down by the beach.
A car is therefore not necessary however it would be an advantage if you like to explore.
Free parking is available
Following the drought restrictions in Andalusia this summer, the community pool is open from Wednesdays to Sundays. The situation will be regularly reviewed.

By Rowie6637 on 25-Apr-2024Beautiful secluded cottage in Benalmadena I booked casa Annabel because I wanted a place where I could relax and recharge my battery but still have the liveliness of places like Torremolinos or Fuengirola within easy reach. The casa did not disappoint. It lies at the beginning of a cul de sac in private community Mi Jardin. It was nice, clean and has a great terrace with wonderful view. It has a nice pool and is of walking distance of the beach. I do recommend hiring a car if you want to go places because walking large distances can be challenging due to some steep climbs. Of course you can also make easy use of Bolt or Uber. Definitely plan to go back some time.

Blown Away!
By Liz on 01-Feb-2020We were blown away with the touches Sarah has made to this space. She has truly thought of everything you will need to enjoy your time in Benalmedena. We had the privilege of having both owners Sarah and Gary living next door for our weeks stay. What a blast! This is a studio apartment, with full kitchen, perfect bathroom (even a small tub). The outdoor space was delightful with views of the Mediterranean and sun every day. Lots of sitting options and even a hammock for siesta time. Easy access to supermarkets, trains to take you to Malaga etc and to highways. You will not be disappointed in booking this. We have just checked into our Airbnb in Seville and wish we could go back to Sarah’s spot.
Amazing
By Samantha on 01-Mar-2020We had a fabulous long stay in Casa Annabel, what an amazing studio apartment, the location was perfect! It was spotlessly clean, spacious and beautifully decorated with good quality kitchen equipment, sumptuous bathroom towels, and everything you needed to self-cater. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine and looking accross to the sea, what a view! just so relaxing and quiet. We were lucky with some amazingly warm temperatures for the time of year, and made the most of long beach walks for miles every day. There are some fab restaurants at the top of the hill, as well as great ones at the bottom of the hill, and a really good walk to the market in Fuengirola on a Tuesday and Saturday (one of the biggest in Europe) We had a car and visited the Mijas Pueblo, a real must to see, absolutely gorgeous little white washed village up in the hills. There is also Benalmadina Pueblo which again is just a beautiful old village and about a 45 minute walk from the apartment. Sarah was an amazing host, so lovely and super supportive as the COVID-19 crisis was developing around us, she was really quick to respond to any messages and kept us thoroughly informed of any updates. We would highly recommend this place, we loved it and can''t wait to return in September! Thank you Sarah xx
