Bon Somni is a villa full of character, located just outside the resorts centre and all the restaurants and cafes and only a short 10-15 minute walk to the beach. There are three good sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a large, open plan living area, which spills onto a sunny terrace, perfect for alfresco dining and morning Mediterranean breakfasts. Going swimming:
Bon Somni has a private, south-west facing pool, with privacy and space. There is also a six-person hot tub for your enjoyment.
Inside the Villa:
This villa is Non-Smoking inside. The living areas within the villa are open plan with large sliding doors onto the terrace. The kitchen is separate with a back door entrance/exit. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you would need for a self-catering holiday, along with a dishwasher to help clean up afterwards.
Siesta Time:
There are three bedrooms in total, with a master bedroom en-suite. There are two bedrooms, each with twin beds (190cmx90cm) and the master bedroom with a double bed (190cmx150cm). The master has an en-suite shower room and there is a second family shower room. The shutters create a dark space for afternoon naps, with air conditioning to cool. All linen, shower towels and beach towels are provided upon arrival.

Bon Somni is situated on a quiet road at the end of a cul-de-sac and set back from the street. It is gated and feels private with off-street parking for one car.

Villa Location and Features:
All the amenities (such as bars, restaurants, children’s play areas, cafes, etc) of this popular resort are an easy 15-minute walk, including pedestrian access to the resort’s beach. The airport is a quick 15-minute car journey away, along with the beautiful and historic capital, Mahon. Also, within Cala en Porter is the famous Cova d’en Xoroi, where you can enjoy sunset cocktails a cold beer or dance the night away in its famous nightclub. The villa is unique, with a fresh interior. It comes fully equipped, as well as air conditioning in all the bedrooms. There is no air conditioning in the lounge.

Want to venture into Mahon or Alaior? There is a daily bus service which runs every hour (apart from siesta time). We do advise hiring a car if you wish to explore the island in more detail. We have plenty of ideas, suggestions, and places to explore, as well as personal recommendations, which you can find in the villa welcome pack. If you are a seasoned visitor of Menorca, contact us and we will be happy to come up with some alternative suggestions for your visit, should you wish.
Cala’n Porter:
Cala’n Porter is located on the South Coast of Menorca, benefiting from a beautiful white sandy beach with crystal clear turquoise waters in a picture postcard cove to the south and a luscious green valley to the north. An area which is great for water sports or enjoying the beach in the day, and in the evening enjoying a stroll out to the abundance of bars and restaurants in the heart of the commercial center. The airport is a 10 mins drive away, the nearest towns are Sant Clemente, Mahon and Alaior, and the nearest alternative beaches / resorts are Son Bou, Santo Tomas, Cala Canutells, Binidali, Es Calo Blanc, Binisafua, Binibequer and Punta Prima on the south coast, Son Parc, Arenal d’en Castell, Macaret, Es Grau and Cala Mesquida on the north coast.

By Fiona on 05-Aug-2025We had a fantastic holiday staying at Bon Somni! We enjoyed the property so much we ended up spending more time at the accommodation than on previous holidays. The hot tub is an added bonus. The house is well equipped and comfortable, it had everything we needed. The local town has a good selection of stores and restaurants, and the local beach is very picturesque, well worth a visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip, and Charlie was an excellent host, the information booklet was also appreciated and well used, thank you.

We especially loved the long walks to the beach and the peacefulness of Cala en Porter. We would love to return to this wonderful place. Menorca doesn’t stop surprising us in wonderful ways and a little more each time we visit.

Very open and bright and there was everything we could possibly need for this type of holiday… from extensive cutlery, dishwasher, washing machine and even an airer with pegs! Charlie was a great host and very helpful when we needed to ask something and responded very quickly. As a family we felt very safe in the villa and it was situated just outside the main town. The villa was a good 10/15 minute walk into the town as it is down hill. I would suggest a taxi ride back though as it is all up hill unless you are energetic. To see the best of Menorca a car is definitely a good idea and the roads are easy to navigate. Santó Thomas is a great place to visit. A lovely promenade and beach and 2 really good restaurants either end of the promenade. In all a great holiday and Charlie was a great host Thank you. We will definitely be back

The villa is in a very quiet location, it is private & not overlooked. Just a 15 min stroll to the centre with shops, cafes and restaurants..The villa is very well appointed and spacious with a comfy bed, great shower and really lovely furnishings; uncluttered. It was great to step inside a holiday rental which immediately felt homely- no do's or dont's signage on the walls (which you sometimes find!)...kitchen had everything you need -tea/coffee, kitchen towels, cling film, tin foil etc..even washing pods - so useful when only staying a week! Pool and hot tub were great and lots of outdoor space to lounge! We also appreciated the BBQ and outside kitchen with a fridge- brilliant!...Charlie was a great host and very responsive. Very efficient aircon and super fast wifi! A Dream holiday- we hope to return!
