3 Bedroom holiday villa rental near Canillas de Albaida

Detached Andalusian-style villa set in its own grounds of four acres (1.3ha). Internally Finca Pichon has three double bedrooms, two bathrooms (one en-suite), a large spacious lounge and a fitted kitchen. The Finca also offers WiFi and air conditioning throughout. Outside, the Finca nestles on the side of a valley with magnificent views of the spectacular mountain ranges. Finca Pichon is surrounded by it's own groves of olive, almond and walnut trees, interspersed with muscatel grapes. A paved terrace area with BBQ leads to the private swimming pool and gardens beyond. There is ample off-road parking for several vehicles. Within walking distance of Canillas de Albaida and Cómpeta

This is a quiet and private location, near the national park of Sierras de Tejeda (walking, cycling, horse ridding, bird watching, etc). The park is a natural boundary between the Málaga and Granada regions. The villa is situated down a concrete driveway accessed directly from a tarmac surfaced public road, unlike many villas in this area there is no dirt track.

The villa is approximately 96m2 and comprises:

-Lounge / dining room with very high feature ceiling which gives the room an extremely light and spacious feel. Wood burning stove and air conditioner / heater. The dining area has a table that seats six people. The Lounge has comfortable seating, TV (with tablet / phone connections), CD-player, WiFi radio and a library area with a varied selection of books, games and magazines.

- Modern kitchen with double sink, 4 burner gas hob, extractor, electric oven, fridge/freezer, micro wave, toaster, kettle etc.
- Hall to 3 bedrooms, 1 double, 2 twin with comfortable beds and mattresses each bedroom with own air conditioning/ heating.
- Modern family bathroom with shower, bath, sink unit, bidet and toilet.
- En-suite bathroom to master bedroom with shower cubicle, sink unit, bidet and toilet.

The villa is all on one level (bungalow); there are no stairs.

* Free wireless internet (WiFi).
* The main rooms have air conditioning units for heat in winter as well as cooling in the summer. Fans available. In cold times you can also use the wood burner.
* The windows have blinds, security grills and mosquito screens. All windows are double glazed.
* The wardrobes provide plenty of storage space.
* The villa offers (board) games, jigsaw puzzles, ann outdoor chess table and a large book selection.
* Smoke detectors installed.
* The utility room with the washing machine and tumble dryer is outside.

The property is East facing. A large covered with seating and many plants leads you to the terra cotta tiled terrace and the swimming pool, where you can enjoy both shade and sun. It offers a variety of areas to relax and admire the gorgeous views!
Garden furniture and sun beds as well as a nice stone built BBQ area are available.
The tiled private pool with an outdoor shower, measures 6 by 3 metres, 1.35m shallow end and 1.76m deep end (careful with children). The pool is NOT fenced. Usable from about late April to mid October.
The mature garden, with a 200 years old olive tree and lots of flowers, benefits of an irrigation system. The fruits of for example the mandarin, orange and lemon trees are irresistible.
The plot is all fenced and the property is approached via a gated entrance. The surrounding Olive grove is also part of the property. There is parking for several cars within the fenced area.

This holiday house is close to Canillas de Albaida and Cómpeta.
Canillas de Albaida is a 15-20 minutes walk. The village, with a population of approximately 700, is about 580 metres above sea level on the slopes of the Sierra de Tejeda and Almijara mountains and offers some little supermarkets, a number of bars and restaurants.
Canillas de Albaida is 17 kilometres from the Mediterranean coast of the Costa del Sol (beaches, aqua parks, golf and many other attractions), about one hour drive from Málaga Airport. A bus connection drives you from Canillas de Albaida and Cómpeta to the beach and Malaga several times a day.
The villa is 4 kilometers from Cómpeta, a more touristic village with lots of shops, restaurants and bars.
Cómpeta is known as the pearl of the Axarquía. It is fascinating to explore with its labyrinth of narrow streets that date back to Moorish times and its spectacular views. The town is best known to many for its locally produced wine, available both dry and sweet.
Competa enjoys a variety of annual fiestas including the Noche del Vino (Night of the Wine), held each 15th August.

The national park with Maroma mountain (highest mountain of Málaga, 2.065 m), Nerja, Frigiliana, the beaches, golf courses, Lake Vinuela, Málaga, Granada, Marbella, El Torcal, Gibraltar/Morocco, Sierra Nevada, Córdoba, Ronda, and others.

When booking a 20% deposit is required to secure the booking. The balance is payable eight weeks prior to your holiday. Payment accepted by Bank Transfer or PayPal (by arrangement).

75% refund if cancelled prior to 4 weeks before check-in date.
No refund if cancelled less than 4 weeks before check-in date.

Prior to your stay the Finca is fully cleaned, and fresh laundry provided. This is included in the price - any additional cleaning or laundry requirements can be arranged, at an additional cost.

The local maintenance company will be maintaining the pool and gardens regularly.

Very relaxing holiday. Great villa which had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Cathy the owner is fantastic, really helpful and answers quickly. Would definitely recommend if just wanting to kick back and do nothing for a week.

vacances super la maison est mieux que sur les photos Tout est super propre rien à redire . Nous connaissons la région puisque nous sommes déjà venus en famille beaucoup de choses à voir et à découvrir Merci aux propriétaire pour le panier de bienvenue très agréable quant on arrive tard. Le contact par mail avec la propriétaire à toujours était très rapide. Je recommande cette location sans hésité. Merci pour tout JO
