Prices vary with dates from £160-£250 per day, see end of description.Casa Angelica was originally a small finca in the middle of nowhere, without road access. Times have changed and now, a tarmac road takes you in 10 minutes from Competa to the renovated house which has everything for a perfect holiday. The spectacular views to the sea and mountains are inspirational, the pool is enclosed, in view from the outdoor sitting room and barbecue. A variety of pool toys are available.
Inside, the house is traditionally decorated. Downstairs, immediately off the hall is a well-equipped kitchen and a dinning room to seat 8 people. This leads to a large sitting room with two sofas, a desk area and television. There are games, many books, a CD player and an efficient log fire for cool evenings. At the other end of the house is a lovely double bedroom with doors out to the terrace and an en-site shower room. There is also a small laundry room.
Stairs lead up from the hallway to the three upper bedrooms. A double and a twin with a family bathroom (shower) and another double room with en-suite bathroom (shower and bath) and its own gorgeous, private upper terrace. All of the bedrooms have air conditioning and there are extra fans in the sitting room, if needed. Rooms have heaters for winter time.
The house is surrounded by its own land with a variety of plants including almond and olive trees, a fig, small vines and a lemon tree - think of fresh lemon in your G & T!. It makes an ideal point for visiting the beaches (35 minutes) and exploring the area.

By Johannes Ertelt on 23-Aug-2025A Love Letter to Casa Angelica Since our kids were born, this is now our fifth stay — every time feels like returning to a familiar hotspot that grounds us and lets us be family and couple. Casa Angelica is our eagle’s nest: absolute privacy and quiet with wide-open views — yet only 8–10 minutes to Cómpeta. Inside, care shows in every detail: strong Wi-Fi, dishwasher, washing machine, A/C in every bedroom, insect screens, a well-equipped kitchen, and thoughtful furnishings. Outside: the beautifully maintained pool — thank you, Rafael! — several terraces, and a meticulously kept garden. The pool is pure happiness for our children — they adore it. Sunrises and sunsets are little events. Leisure & Moments: Card games, long sea-view conversations, and stargazing shape the evenings. Listening to music and catching big football matches on TV — everything is possible. We gladly accept longer drives to our favorite beaches, because only Casa Angelica is our home base to enjoy everything we’ve loved here for years: comfort, calm, pool, garden, views, light, great beds (with A/C), excellent bathrooms, and space for everyone. A place of love and (family) life. We’re proud repeat guests and re-bookers — and we love this place. Thank you for all the investments over the years. Note: If our warm review makes Casa Angelica even more sought-after and availability tighter, we still recommend it wholeheartedly. Even if that means availability crunches for us, we happily share it with those who value and love this casa/finca as we do. Bottom line: This finca is a dream. Recommendation strength: 10 out of 5. We really liked the house and the location
By Daniel on 30-Jun-2024We were able to enjoy Casa Angelica for 4 weeks on the occasion of my big birthday and had several people staying there in turns. The journey via Algarrobo and Competa was easy as everything here is concrete. Large parking lot. The house is lovingly furnished with many details in Andalusian style with various seating and lying options around the house. Everything is very well maintained, clean and very practically furnished. The kitchen has everything you need, plus a height-adjustable grill outside. There is plenty of space for loungers and large parasols around the large pool. The view of the mountains and the sea is simply fantastic. The typical Andalusian bedrooms (with rather soft beds) are spacious, as are the bathrooms (some even with shower AND bathtub) and very practically furnished. All windows and doors have mosquito nets. Mosquito plugs, air conditioning and some international power plugs are also available. The surroundings and the garden are kept in perfect condition twice a week by a very friendly and helpful caretaker and the nearby village of Cómpeta offers everything you need for your daily shopping and has many good restaurants. We really liked the house and the location, we were able to relax perfectly - the house became a piece of home for us. We definitely give Casa Angelica 5 stars. Daniel
A very nice property
By Christian on 12-Aug-2024Casa Angelica is a very nice property if you love peace and solitude, which we did. Everything was very clean and the bedrooms had air conditioning, which was urgently needed during our stay due to the heat. The center of Competa is about a 20-minute drive away, where you can buy everything you need for the first day at least. The view from the house is unique, the pool is spacious. We were there for a week and really enjoyed it. Without a car, however, you are lost. We would go there again!
Brilliant villa
By Gareth on 30-Jul-20249.6 Excellent Brilliant Villa. Great value for Andalusia. Everything you need for a large party. Really well maintained. Tricky driving up into Cómpeta and vertiginous drops on the roads to the Villa, but well worth it. We had a brilliant week and the third party agent in Cómpeta couldn’t have been more helpful despite our flights being late and a late arrival at the property.

Through the many seats in the garden you will find an opportunity for togetherness with 8 people in the house. We felt very comfortable with our children, grandchildren and friends, and also These infected with our Andalusienfieber.Wie also the times before we were warmly welcomed. We give for the Casa Angelica also 5 stars. In any case, we will return to Andalusia in 2020
Such a beautiful house
By Janet on 10-Sep-2022It was like a breath of fresh air to be back at Casa Angelica after all the Covid lockdowns. It is such a beautiful house in a stunning setting. Swimming in the pool with those sea views and the scent of jasmine in the air is so memorable and every time we come there is something new at the house. In September the countryside was full of wild flowers, the restaurants were not busy and the weather perfect.
