Description
Idyllic Country Villa with a pool, jacuzzi and BBQ set in the Competa mountainsEnter our villa via the secure electronic gates which will lead you to a private driveway big enough for around four vehicles
. From the private driveway, walk up a dozen steps and turn left into your own private pool area, boasting panoramic views across the hills of Competa which can be enjoyed from sun loungers and chairs around the pool or on the raised terrace surrounded by gardens.
Just next door to the pool sits an outdoor BBQ House, fully equipped to enjoy fresh cooking and al fresco dining, where there is a table and chairs provided. This area, alongside the swimming pool, can be lit up at night, so you can continue eating and socialising into the evening.
Walking towards the Villa, there is a large veranda just outside the front door. Again this is an ideal area for al fresco dining with a large table and six chairs, and it is extremely handy on exceptionally hot days or for those guests that prefer to seek shade. Next to the veranda is a private Hot Tub which can seat up to six people. Panoramic views of the mountains can be enjoyed from the Hot Tub and it remains private, situated within two walls so that you can enjoy your surroundings in complete tranquility. This is also the perfect place to star gaze on clear nights.
Upon entering the villa you are soon greeted with traditional property features complimented by modern amenities. Through a bricked archway is the newly installed kitchen which has a large LG fridge and freezer, a built in oven accompanied with a built in microwave which sits on top, an induction hob, a slow cooker, kettle and toaster. It comes fully equipped with all the utensils you will need to enjoy cooking and eating in, such as cutlery, plates, bowls, oven trays and induction saucepans. There is also a small table and chairs in the kitchen.
There is a functioning dining area which sits open planned with the living room. It has an extendable dining table and can seat up to six people. It sits inside two large sash windows which amplify natural daylight, and is an ideal spot inside the Villa where you can enjoy the views from the Competa hills.
The living room is situated around a wood burner stove which is a charming feature for enjoying cosy nights in with a glass of local Competa wine. There is a three seater sofa with colourful scatter cushions and two side table lamps. Two matching armchairs accompany the three seater, and you can use the TV which has some English channels if you can stream you will have more choice . Wifi is free . we fully appreciate that the Villa might encourage you to completely switch off and relax during your stay!
There are three double bedrooms at the villa. Two are almost identical in size, and both are furnished in pine . no 2 has double bed other can be either be 2 single beds or made to 1 double bed matching bedside cabinets and side lamps, plus a wardrobe. There is a chest in each room with a mirror. One of these bedrooms however has some lovely views across the mountains, so if you are staying in a group, you might need to toss a coin to decide who gets that suite. The last bedroom, albeit smaller than the other two, is big enough to house a double bed, but has only one bedside table and lamp, a clothes rail and a mirror.
There is one main bathroom which has been recently completely renovated. It boasts a large glass walk in shower complimented by nautical tiling. A vast ceramic sink sits above a two drawer cabinet and a light up mirror spans it's width. There is a shaver plug to the left of the sink, plus a normal plug where our hair drier can be used. The toilet also sits to the left, and just opposite is a heated towel rail.
The villa encompasses modern facilities, tradition and beauty, alongside home comforts, making it the perfect getaway for families, friends and couples alike.
On our tv we have Amazon prime or Netflix but you will be changed through your damage deposit if this facility is used

The villa is in such a beautiful location, just off an easy main road and no scary gravel tracks which is a real bonus. The surroundings are really beautiful and peaceful, we felt immediately at home. For us it is a great mix of peace and quiet but also access to places such as Competa and Nerja which are 2 of our favourite places. The villa is well equipped and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. I hope we can stay again :) See less
Beautiful house next to Cómpeta
By El idrissi on 16-Aug-2025La maison est situé entre Cómpeta et Torrox, elle est aussi à 30 min de torre Del mar. L’extérieur de la maison est exceptionnel, plusieurs terrasses, un jacuzzi et un belle piscine. Il y a une belle douche extérieur pour se rafraîchir également. La maison est bien équipée, avec beaucoup de vaisselles et tout ce qu il faut pour passer un bon séjour. Les chambres sont un peu petite mais très confortable. On passe la majorité de son temps en extérieur et notre séjour a été parfait. Je compte y retourner très vite.

Beautiful Villa
By Chloe Eastwood on 06-Aug-2025We stayed in Casa Maria for nine nights with our seven year old son, and we all had a wonderful holiday. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and shown round the villa. Communication from the owner and was great throughout and having a contact locally was reassuring in case we needed support, which we didn’t. The villa was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our stay, and the air conditioning throughout the villa made it comfortable…even in mid August. The pool and hot tub were fantastic - we loved watching the stars in the evening from the hot tub. Waking up with a coffee sat on the terrace, taking in the outstanding views was superb. The villa feels rural and peaceful but is easily reachable in about an hour from Malaga. The nearly town of Competa is around a ten minute drive and has good supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, it’s also beautiful, with quaint little streets to potter around. The towns/beaches or Nerja and Frigiliana are worth a visit and are around 30 minutes drive from the villa. We have stayed in several villas around Competa and Andalusia and we all agreed this has been our favourite! We hope to return soon.

What a amazing relaxing stay
By Deb & steve potts on 18-Jul-2025What a amazing relaxing stay We have watched swallows nesting in the BBQ area Heard but not yet seen bee Eater in the valley And today we saw a golden oriole Beautiful !! We haven’t exploded much of the sanctuary as the villa was too wonderful
