This lovely house is beautifully furnished for family holidays, Shared pool and communal area. Good accommodation all round, you won’t be disappointed as this is our home and not typical of a rental property in how it is furnished and equipped. 15 mins from Malaga Airport by car. Although a car is a nice convenience it is not a necessity. The house is only a short 10-12 minute walk away from the hub of the lovely Arroyo town centre.. Public transport is also excellent in Spain and buses and trains are regular and very cheap. fortunately our house is very close to a bus stop where regular buses can take you to the sea front or into town, from there you have bus and train links to all over the coast.

The Sierra Nevada mountain range only 2 hours away. Ski in the morning, sunbathe in the afternoon!


The lovely town centre of Arroyo de la Miel is only a 10-12 minute walk from the property, it boasts a fabulous array of shops, bars and restaurants. It is a popular destination visited by all nationalities in the area but fortunately manages to maintain its Spanish identity , It really is a lovely town and It is the reason why we bought property in this area.
Benalmadena Pueblo is a short drive or bus journey, it's a typical Andalucian white-washed village, and well worth a visit, Torremolinos and Fuengirola are only a few stops on the train. Benalmadena/Arroyo train station in the town centre is only a 12-15 minute walk from the house and can get you directly to the airport, and Malaga city centre or Fuengarola in the opposite direction.
Orgainsed coach trips to Seville, Granada, Gibraltar, Mijas, Ronda, etc are available and you can pick up details at various points on the coast.


Aproximately 30-35 mins walk from the house or jump on the local buses which run from just around the corner. All beaches of Benalmadena, Torremolinos and Fuengirola are safe, clean, with well kept toilet facilities. A good choice of water sports are available. Sunbeds can be hired and there is a wide range of 'chiringuitos' serving all types of seafood.There are bars/restaurants located on most beaches. All beaches are 'blue-flag many have life-guards and first aid posts


Malaga Airport is 15 minutes drive, a frequent inexpensive train service,which runs every 20 minutes, is available from the Airport to Arroyo de la Miel, from where a uber to the house is 5 Euros. A taxi from airport to house costs appro ximately 30 Euros (uber is cheaper). Although car hire is not essential as the public transport system is very good - it would make your stay even more interesting allowing you to fully explore the surrounding area and countyside.

Benalmadena Costa has excellent bars, night clubs, cabaret and dancing venues. There are bars hosting nightly quizzes, karaoke and bingo. Many bars have large screen TVs and show all the main sporting events. Bonanza Square with its lively atmosphere has plenty of restaurants, bars and clubs. Tivoli World in Arroyo de La Miel is a Spanish theme park with rides, Flamenco dancing and evening concerts. From here you can take a ride on the cable car to the mountain top and take in the breathtaking views all the way down to the Rock of Gibraltar. They also hold a fantastic 'bird of prey' show here twice daily

BENALMADENA MARINA (2 of the slider pictures are of the marina)

Its unique architecture along with its many shops, restaurants and famous nightlife has earned Benalmadena Marina the title of “Best Marina in the World" several times. Whether you like celeb’ spotting, shopping or just soaking up the atmosphere , It should feature high on your “must do list”

Paloma Park is within walking distance and is beautiful to stroll around. There is a large lake and you can see all kinds of wildlife there - cockerels, chickens, rabbits, peacocks to name but a few of the animals that share the park, it is also the home to the Sea Lions and Selwo Dolphins who perform there daily. There are two excellent water parks nearby in Torremolinos and Fuengirola (Mijas Costa) which are easy to get to and a fun day out for all the family. On the beach there are many water sports that you can take part in, including speed-bikes, pedalos and paragliding. Fishing trips are available from the Marina and the Port at Fuengirola and there are also daily boat trips from the marina including trips to see dolphins.

A fabulous holiday at our Favorite 'Happy Place' in our favorite 'Happy Home'

We have stayed at this property on numerous occasions, and its always a case of booking a holiday around the dates its available rather than book time off then see if we can stay there. As a family, Arroyo De La Miel is our ‘happy place’ and this property is our ‘happy home’ My wife and I have three grown up kids (26, 22 & 20) and as soon as we mention Benalmadena and "the Arroyo house", we know we will have a full family booking for the holiday. It is clean, spacious, well equipped, air conditioned and set in a block of circa 30 houses with a shared swimming pool. During the week we’ve always found that on most days the pool is our own, and at weekends, the local Spanish residents, ex pats and other holiday makers socialise around it with their families. Everyone is friendly and we have always been made to feel welcome, we have always felt that if you respect the community the community will respect you. My wife loves the fact there is a washing machine, as we always go home with a case of clean clothes. Dishwasher, microwave, oven, fridge/freezer so it really is home from home. The house is located up a hill so walking into town is great downhill but it can be a struggle walking up it if you have any mobility issues. However, there is an abundance of cabs outside the train station in the town center and 6 euro will see you home safe and well. There is also a bus stop around the corner from the house and the ‘Welcome Folder’ provided at the property gives plenty of information on the local travel options. We tend to hire a car for the period of our stay as we like to travel around the area, and parking is available on the local streets. However, be mindful of yellow lines and local residents to ensure you are parked correctly and not blocking driveways upsetting the locals. Arroyo is packed with restaurants, shops and bars so you’ll never find yourself hungry or thirsty. There are also plenty of supermarkets in the area so the fridge can be stocked with the basics for the duration of your stay. We tend to have breakfast at home, then eat out each evening. Prices are good and there is a great atmosphere in the town center. If you feeling in the mood for a walk, its roughly half hour downhill to the beach, and only circa 10 euro for cab home. Again the beaches at Benalmadena are packed with restaurants, gift shops and bars, Palm 5 Beach Bar being our favourite hang out spot. Cold drinks in a beach front bar watching the world go by – what’s not to love! So in summary, a lovely, well equipped, clean property in a lovely Spanish residential area with plenty to see and do. Absolutely exceptional home!

We made our booking (myself and husband and our 5 children).. Originally planned to have my parents with us but they couldn't make it... I have to say... Jason.. Eveline are absolutely exceptional! I spoke with Jason over the phone (now a new friend I like to think).. Eveline deals with the online part but she is very much as important with the whole booking... Every little details we as holiday renters actually don't think about they have covered honestly even as a frequent renter of holiday home's they topped everything... The home.. Wow.. OK.. So you've seen the pictures... Honestly they do not do the home full justice... The kitchen is alot wider and bigger than it looks and has everything and I mean everything... Even an ice slicer!!!! The lounge /dining again is wider and the furniture in the home is of a very high standard... Bedrooms/Bathrooms.. I called them 1 2 3/4.. Youll see from the photos to which I refer too... So bedroom 1 I call this the master bedroom.. Fitted elegant wardrobes (lots of hangers and a safe that you can use)... Large full bathroom toilet shower over bath and bidet and sink... And a mirror always. Plus for us girls.. But there is a very large mirror on the wall opposite the bed so no struggles as we women always want to check ourselves.. We do...has air conditioning unit and ceiling fan.. Also a little patio/terrace area where you can see the back drop of mountains but also across to the town... Bedroom 2 twin room.. The picture doesn't do this justice at all... Very large room... More than enough space to walk around each bed.. Fitted wardrobes and chest of drawers... Also has a fold out chair (my girls loved this).. Fan on ceiling ( my only suggestion which I am told the owner is going to look into doing is this room doesn't have air con.. So air con in and wow what a room) again this is a huge room.... Bathroom to this bedroom is outside the room... Toilet sink.. Overhead shower on half bath... Mirror again spot on. Bedroom 3/4... Another master slightly smaller than what I class the main master BUT... This has a double bed I actually think it is bigger than your standard doubles... Fitted wardrobes and a full bathroom.. And mirror!! Also this room has a terrace/balcony... Now the 4th part when you enter the room it's quite amazing... There is a room open to that main room but with a further 2 beds in... My kids loved it!!! Our eldest slept up their as did my 2 other girls on and off.. The owners put in a stair gate for me as we have a just turned 2 yr old which was very much appreciated.. The patio/terrace from the lounge area is a sun trap!!! This is where you can also access the communal pool... Toledo when the sun gets too hot... Table and chairs for 6 and sun loungers also available which we were able to have 3 of the loungers and the table and chairs and could still move around... There is a small terrace at the front with a table and chair's which was handy when cooking or in the evening when it was cooler... The communal pool is very clean... You will actually see the chap every day out and about cleaning the tiled paths to the pool... So you know it's going to be clean... I would without doubt recommend this home to any family.. Families... The home easily accommodates 9 people and you don't feel like you're on top of one another at all... The area is quiet... And easily you can walk into arroyo and benalmadena... We did walk a few times back and forth... But you can also get a bus or Uber or rent a car.. Personally we felt we didn't need to have a car all the time it just depends on yourselves... I have one last piece to say... We cannot wait to go back to this home so if summer is gone.. You know we have booked it..

Our third time here for yet another fab holiday

We were delighted to see this property re-listed for holiday lets again. It’s our 3rd time staying at this super house as we like it so much. The house is always spotless, it’s spacious and it is in a great location. We also love the pool area , (the picture on the web site doesn’t do it justice). It also worked out at good value for money given the amount of people in our group. We also love the area of Arroyo/Benalmadena, so much so, we have had our last 8 holidays there. There is plenty of places to visit, loads of fab restaurants, tapas bars and nightspots and lots to do and see for everyone The hosts are fantastic, and nothing was too much trouble, Jason and Eve were always quick to respond to any queries and the literature and information they supplied was brilliant. Would recommend this house and destination to anyone anytime.
