One of the few villas to be situated within the Montgo Natural Park it is located on private road in the pine forest on the lower slopes of the Montgo Mountain. It offers superb mountain and countryside views from multiple terraced areas together with an exceptionally large swimming pool and extensive gardens which merge into the beautiful natural park. This is a perfect villa for large families or groups and provides a massive 400m2 of accommodation on two self contained floors each having its own entrance for extra privacy and flexibility. For walkers, some of the Montgo footpaths start immediately outside the villa, for golfers the La Sella complex is 1km away and the towns of Denia and Javea are both only 15mins away with their historic buildings, restaurants, shops and wonderful beaches.
Our property manager is based in the pretty village of Jesus Pobre 1km away and is on hand to assist you with anything you require during your stay. Jesus Pobre also has a bank, small supermarket, bakery, pharmacy and four bar/restaurants. The Sunday farmers market in the village is famous for local produce, the villagers set up food stalls to sell their home made produce ranging through bread, sweet and savoury pastries, preserves and wine. There are picnic tables and music, it is a wonderful place to eat and soak up the local atmosphere.
THE ACCOMMODATION
Floor plans are included in the photo montage to give you a full picture of the accommodation provided. This is a 2 storey villa of approx 400 m2 set in a 3000 m2 garden.
The entrance courtyard has parking for over 6 cars and provides access to the first floor
FIRST FLOOR
Ornate glazed wrought iron doors open into the entrance hall with high exposed beam ceiling leading into the huge lounge area (8.4m x 7.5m) with traditional exposed timber arched ceiling. There is a mix of quality modern and antique furniture creating a Moorish feel.
There is a 40inch HD TV (unfortunately not very Moorish) with the normal Freesat UK channels including BBC, ITV and Sky News etc .The TV has the usual range of connections for games consoles, PC’s etc.
WiFi internet is available
The lounge leads into the traditionally furnished dining room with seating for 8 around the fine mahogany dining table ideal for formal dining.
The modern fully equipped kitchen has granite work surfaces and incorporates a built-in oven and grill, gas hob with electric griddle, large larder fridge and large matching freezer. There is a dishwasher, coffee machine and microwave with combination grill.
All the necessary cooking pots, pans and utensils are provided together with crockery, cutlery, wine glasses, wine coolers etc
The utility room is adjacent to the kitchen and includes a sink and washing machine with extensive work surfaces and cupboard space.
The two air-conditioned bedrooms and the bathrooms at this level are found through an archway from the lounge
Bedroom 1 has a super king size bed with wrought iron bed frame and includes a large dressing area and extensive built-in wardrobes and cupboard space. There is an en-suite bathroom with walk in power shower incorporating body jets.
Bedroom 2 has twin beds which can be linked to form a super king sized double if required. The bedroom has built in wardrobes with shelf space.
Bathroom 2 incorporates a bath with an over bath power shower.
There are 3 terrace areas at this level
The Dining Terrace is reached from the dining room and naya and is furnished with a feature tiled dining table and benches that seat 8 comfortably. There is also a gas BBQ. The terrace has views down onto the swimming pool and surrounding terraces and wonderful views across the garden and down the valley towards Denia. If you like spectacular sunsets then this is the place to see them.
The Montgo terrace is a tranquil oasis reached from the entrance hall. It is a small private peaceful area with a fine view of Montgo mountain where you can relax on the loungers or in the hammock whilst you immerse yourself in your holiday reading.
The Naya has an exposed beam ceiling and was traditionally a covered external area. Many Spaniards have now glazed these areas and this is the case here. The naya links the lounge, dining room, dining terrace and naya terrace and is furnished with a comfortable settee and armchairs.
The Naya terrace outside the lounge and naya has casual seating for 8 and is perfect for that relaxing drink before dinner and the time to catch up with everybody’s news. The steps from this terrace lead down to the swimming pool and the pool level accommodation.
THE POOL LEVEL
The pool level accommodation has its own entrance door and comprises 2 double bedrooms each with built-in wardrobes and air-conditioning and both have views over the garden.
Bedroom 1 has a large king size bed with wrought iron bed frame.
Bedroom 2 has twin beds which can be linked to form a super king size double if required.
The modern bathroom has WC, bidet, basin, bath and separate power shower incorporating body jets.
The accommodation includes an open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area with views of the garden and pool.
The kitchen incorporates a refrigerator, gas hob, toaster and combination microwave/grill. It is ideal for breakfast or light lunch preparation.
The dining area has a tiled cane dining table and chairs and seats 4 comfortably
There are settee’s and coffee tables in the lounge area.
EXTERNAL
The freeform swimming pool is approximately 16m x 7m so if you want to swim instead of just splashing about then you can. There are roman steps at the shallow end which unusually extends along the full side length for a 1m wide strip making it more versatile for younger children or those who just want to cool down. There are a range of loungers, seats, tables and sun shades provided. Plastic glasses etc are also provided for use around the pool.
The gardens are well established and incorporate many species of trees and cactus including olive, almond, lemon, pomegranate, passion fruit and fig trees. Paths weave around the garden creating the impression that the garden is very much a part of the beautiful Montgo Natural Park.
The World Health Organisation has declared that this area has an ‘almost perfect’ climate and is one of the healthiest places in the world to live.
