One of the few villas to be situated within the Montgo Natural Park it is located on private road in the pine forest on the lower slopes of the Montgo Mountain. It offers superb mountain and countryside views from multiple terraced areas together with an exceptionally large swimming pool and extensive gardens which merge into the beautiful natural park. This is a perfect villa for large families or groups and provides a massive 400m2 of accommodation on two self contained floors each having its own entrance for extra privacy and flexibility. For walkers, some of the Montgo footpaths start immediately outside the villa, for golfers the La Sella complex is 1km away and the towns of Denia and Javea are both only 15mins away with their historic buildings, restaurants, shops and wonderful beaches.

Our property manager is based in the pretty village of Jesus Pobre 1km away and is on hand to assist you with anything you require during your stay. Jesus Pobre also has a bank, small supermarket, bakery, pharmacy and four bar/restaurants. The Sunday farmers market in the village is famous for local produce, the villagers set up food stalls to sell their home made produce ranging through bread, sweet and savoury pastries, preserves and wine. There are picnic tables and music, it is a wonderful place to eat and soak up the local atmosphere.

All the necessary cooking pots, pans and utensils are provided together with crockery, cutlery, wine glasses, wine coolers etc

Bedroom 2 has twin beds which can be linked to form a super king sized double if required. The bedroom has built in wardrobes with shelf space.

Bathroom 2 incorporates a bath with an over bath power shower.

There are 3 terrace areas at this level

The Dining Terrace is reached from the dining room and naya and is furnished with a feature tiled dining table and benches that seat 8 comfortably. There is also a gas BBQ. The terrace has views down onto the swimming pool and surrounding terraces and wonderful views across the garden and down the valley towards Denia. If you like spectacular sunsets then this is the place to see them.

The Montgo terrace is a tranquil oasis reached from the entrance hall. It is a small private peaceful area with a fine view of Montgo mountain where you can relax on the loungers or in the hammock whilst you immerse yourself in your holiday reading.

The Naya has an exposed beam ceiling and was traditionally a covered external area. Many Spaniards have now glazed these areas and this is the case here. The naya links the lounge, dining room, dining terrace and naya terrace and is furnished with a comfortable settee and armchairs.

The Naya terrace outside the lounge and naya has casual seating for 8 and is perfect for that relaxing drink before dinner and the time to catch up with everybody’s news. The steps from this terrace lead down to the swimming pool and the pool level accommodation.

The kitchen incorporates a refrigerator, gas hob, toaster and combination microwave/grill. It is ideal for breakfast or light lunch preparation.

The dining area has a tiled cane dining table and chairs and seats 4 comfortably

There are settee’s and coffee tables in the lounge area.

EXTERNAL

The freeform swimming pool is approximately 16m x 7m so if you want to swim instead of just splashing about then you can. There are roman steps at the shallow end which unusually extends along the full side length for a 1m wide strip making it more versatile for younger children or those who just want to cool down. There are a range of loungers, seats, tables and sun shades provided. Plastic glasses etc are also provided for use around the pool.

The gardens are well established and incorporate many species of trees and cactus including olive, almond, lemon, pomegranate, passion fruit and fig trees. Paths weave around the garden creating the impression that the garden is very much a part of the beautiful Montgo Natural Park.

The World Health Organisation has declared that this area has an ‘almost perfect’ climate and is one of the healthiest places in the world to live.

Fabulous Villa set in a beautiful, quiet location

By Aby & Mo on 06-Aug-2023

We had a lovely holiday in this gorgeous, very spacious villa. It is set back from the road and is wonderfully private and quiet. Big bedrooms, lovely bathrooms. The pool is absolutely brilliant and you can easily do proper lengths or just chill out on a lilo reading a book. Plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas should you want shade. We were provided with towels for the bathrooms and separate towels for the pool. The bbq area was a popular place on an evening to sit around eating, playing games, chatting and looks down on the pool. Various places to sit outside or inside. It is even better and much bigger than the pictures show. A real find! Large shopping mall only around 10 mins drive away. And closer shops/restaurants in Jesus Pobre which is only a few minutes drive or a leisurely walk (but be mindful of the heat if you walk). Easily a place to stay as two families, or extended family. There is a Table tennis table located near the pool. Would happily go back.

Great location, spacious and well equipped villa, amazing pool!

By Lindy Moran on 02-Jul-2022

We have holidayed in this region before and this is by far the most spacious and well-equipped villa we have rented. Having separate accommodation at pool level was a bonus for our adult children.: the 3 terraces are all lovely, offering different views and the terrace with barbecue overlooking the pool and garden was our favourite place for coming together. The pool was very clean and well looked after during our stay, and lots of fun was had, as well as some serious swimming given the size! Not having used Simply Owners before we were grateful for being guided through the process and our contact with the owners was professional and all questions/queries were answered in a timely manner. We hope to return. Thank you Jennifer and John for allowing us to rent your beautiful villa.

Fantastic Villa

By Julie Hicks on 21-Aug-2021

Beautiful villa in such peaceful surroundings. The villa was very spacious, very clean & very well equipped. The master bedroom is enormous with the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in whilst on holiday. The garden & pool areas are secluded and private. We enjoyed the many outdoor balconies at different times of day & night. We found the local supermarket/shops easy to locate. We would definitely book this villa again. 10 out of 10

Fantastic holiday

By Charlotte Cobb on 06-Aug-2019

We had the most fantastic time at this villa. It is huge and our family of seven had more than enough room. Best of all is the swimming pool which is large enough and deep enough to dive in. Our kids were in it continually whilst we lay poolside surrounded by the beautiful mountain and countryside. Great terraces, barbecue area, air-conditioning to bedrooms, comfy sofas if you want to hide from the sun and all within easy reach of Denia and Javea by car. We loved it.

Fabulous House, Pool and Area

By Virginia R on 11-Oct-2017

Fabulouse house, pool and area. 5 of 5 I booked the property for a family holiday to celebrate my 70th birthday. My daughter and I drove down through France & Spain with a friend. My son and his family flew into Alicante from Glasgow and some friends drove from France also. The directions to find the villa were clear and concise and no one got lost! We were a group of mixed ages from 8 to 70., It was everything as stated on the website and more. All the rooms are beautifully furnished, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and we all enjoyed sharing in the cooking. The barbecue on the terrace was especially welcome and well used - especially by the men in the party. The grounds and surrounding area are spectacular. Both Javea and Denia are a short drive away. Jesus Pobre is well worth a visit - the Sunday market is full of life and there are lots of bars for a refreshing drink. The beach at Javea is beautiful. It is sandy and just right for making sandcastles. The restaurants along the promenade offer a variety for all tastes. However, our favourite was at the Port where we had our celebratory lunch. All in all it was a fabulous week in a wonderful setting. I can highly recommend the villa and the area. Review Submitted: 11-Oct-2017 Date of Stay: September 2017

Beautiful Villa

By Sarah W on 12-Sep-2017

This is a beautiful villa in beautiful surroundings. It is a lovely spacious and well equipped property. The pool is a great size with plenty of room to play and a large enough shallow area for the children to play in. There are many places to sit, eat and drink. We spent many lovely evenings out on the veranda. Our advice would be to take ample mosquito repellent and reapply frequently. The beaches nearby are wide and sandy and take about 15 minutes to get to by car. Jesus Pobre is quiet and felt almost deserted until the Sunday evening market which is well worth a visit. This villa was perfect for our two families and we would recommend to anyone. Review Submitted: 12-Sep-2016 Date of Stay: August 2016
