Description
Casa Pia is completely private; set in a large plot on top of a hill overlooking the S’Albufera nature park - an area of outstanding natural beauty. This is the perfect place to unwind.From our pool area numerous birds can be seen and heard, including booted eagles, kestrels and red kites soaring above the villa. We have two resident tortoises visiting the garden daily during the summer. There are walks and trails through the park and around the lake. In Spring wild flowers are in abundance - these months are a must for nature lovers!
From the rooftop terrace only three other properties are visible - two of these on a distant hill.
The living areas of the villa are all one level making it safe for families with young children or those with mobility issues.
A car is essential if staying at the villa - the island is small so everywhere is easily accessible. Local fishing village Es Grau is under 10 minutes away. The sweeping beach is safe for children as the water is calm and shallow with kayaks or pedalos to hire during the summer. A small well stocked supermarket and several restaurants and bars are in the village. Mahon is under 15 minutes away and the airport is under 20 minutes away.
Your first sight of Casa Pia is through a large ranch style gateway, down the long private drive. The front door opens into the living room with a view of the pool through patio doors opposite. A door to the left leads to a double bedroom, twin bedroom and bathroom with bath and shower overhead. To the right the living room opens into the dining area, kitchen and utility room with a door from the living area to a 'wet room' with toilet and sink, into a spacious bedroom with double sofa bed and on to the large master bedroom with king size bed. Here double patio doors lead to the covered terrace with a table to seat 8 - perfect for a relaxed breakfast or lunch overlooking the pool. A sofa and two easy chairs here offer a cozy spot if in need of respite from the sun. From the pool terrace down a few steps is the BBQ patio with large table and chairs and giant chess board to pass the time while outdoor cooking is under way. A typical Menorcan gate leads to a shady terrace on a lower level, which in turn takes you to the lovely garden area with gazebo set under the trees. Steps from the pool area go to our large roof terrace, a perfect place to see the sun set over Monte Toro - the highest point on the island. The table and chairs here offer another place for al fresco dining, or perhaps to just enjoy a glass of local Xoriguer Gin with tonic. The roof offers 360-degree views over the beautiful Menorcan countryside, where cows and sheep can be seen grazing.
We have a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, filter coffee machine and microwave.
There is WiFi throughout the villa and a smart TV with access to UK channels. We have air conditioning in the master bedroom. We can provide cots or extra beds if necessary.
Check in time is 2pm, check out at 10am. however we try to be flexible to accommodate our guests.
We have a key safe for convenient self check in.

Marvellous Casa Pia
By Nick Sercombe on 04-Jul-2025Just returned from Casa Pia and we would like to thank you for letting us stay. We had a fabulous time, as always. The tranquility of the place grabs us the moment we arrive. As soon as it was cool enough we were up on the roof terrace just drinking it in. And drinking a toast. The nightjars surrounded us this year and the peacock population has increased significantly. Saw the hoopoes at the end of the drive. A booted eagle kept circling. It was delightful. The only mistake we made was coming home after a fortnight but this year we didn’t have any choice. I didn’t want to pack my bags this morning!

A happy time here
