Although smaller than Menorca and Mallorca, Ibiza is one of Spain’s Balearic islands. It is famous with the youngsters for its night life and part scenes in places like San Antonio, Ibiza Town and resorts like Playa d’en Bossa. This must not detract however from the beauty, tranquility and fabulous peaceful locations which can be found in such as Platja d'en Bossa. Exploring the island is a must as you will find some superb private sandy coves with some of the finest beaches around. Formentera is renowned for its beautiful white sandy beaches that you would more associate with the Caribbean. From here you will also be able to take in breathtaking views from the top of the cliffs and if you like walking explore some of the best parts of the island. A good day out would be to explore the hilltop Dalt Vila in Ibiza Town followed by refreshments in one of the pavement cafes soaking up the atmosphere. Ibiza Town is reputedly very pretty and overlooks the Mediterranean sea from its walled city fortress with cobbled streets housing the cathedral which is a must. Also, take time to look at the Hippy Markets which add to the culture of the island.
