Overview
Description
'Casa Joya' is located within the popular 'Valle del Paraiso' area which overlooks the stunning Jalon Valley. Sleeping 6 across 3 air conditioned bedrooms, the property is fully enclosed with a private pool, mature gardens & a large south facing patio. Close to shops, other amenities and only 20 mins from beaches at Moraira and Calpe. The large outside patio area surrounds the 8m x 3m pool allowing for complete relaxation in both sun and shade. There are sun loungers, BBQ (subject to local conditions) parasols, tables and chairs available for relaxation and enjoyment.
The lower floor is all on one level so can be self-contained for just two guests, if required as the facilities include a double bedroom with ensuite bath/shower room, a second WC, large lounge with satellite TV, sunroom facing south, dining room equipped for 6 guests, utility room containing a washing machine, tumble drier and a further shower. The kitchen has a fitted oven, grill, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. Further utensils and cooking equipment are housed in the multi-cupboard facilities.
The first floor is accessed by a tiled floor staircase and contains a further two bedrooms, one double and the third contains two single beds. Both bedrooms have ample built in wardrobes and drawers. Access can be made from bedroom 2 to a medium-size patio containing a small table and two chairs. Views from the patio across the Jalon Valley are truly spectacular. The family shower room contains a wash basin, WC, bidet and a jacuzzi style shower cubicle.
Most rooms benefit from centrally fitted ceiling two-speed fans.
The rear and east side of the property has been landscaped with tropical, hardy and native plants providing shade for both relaxation and enjoyment. Hard standing behind metal gates provides secure off road parking for one vehicle.
Jalon town is a short drive away where restaurants, bars, artisan shops, churches, wine Bodegas, food stores and a medium size supermarket are located. A large popular local market is set up on Saturday mornings for most of the year. The market offers clothes, shoes, antiques, local foods and bric-a-brac.
Neighbouring villages contain several excellent restaurants where 3-course meals with wine, can be enjoyed for less than €20. The closest beach is a 20 minute drive away but worth the journey for simply just passing through and viewing typically Spanish villages on the way. A 'must see' will be a journey up to 'Col de Rates', a mountain seen across the valley where there is a German restaurant holding live music events on Saturdays. The view is breath-taking and on a clear day, the island of Ibiza can be seen.

Leave ReviewA truly lucky find
By Dainton family on 14-Aug-2025We were let down on a previously booked villa 5 days before we flew when we were lucky enough to find this truly amazing needle in a haystack. From our first contact with Graham our whole experience was first class and our family holiday saved. Casa Joya has everything you need for a relaxing, fun, cultural holiday. Where it is situated enables you to explore rural traditional Spain while enjoying the tourism based coastal areas. The local town offers great food and wine. We traveled with 3 teenagers who were happy as they loved the pool, sufficient WiFi and lots to enjoy in the area. We loved it so much we have booked for next year!

Hi Tamsin, many thanks for your kind review, it is appreciated. As you know the property is our home in Spain and not simply a rental location hence the work that goes into maintaining it and keeping it in good condition. It is gratifying to know that Casa Joya was free following your disappointment and that the property satisfied all occupants. Look forward to hearing from you in 2026. Regards Graham.
Fabulous Villa
By Claire Cox on 30-Jul-2025What a fantastic Villa ; beautiful setting with breathtaking views of the mountains, in a very quiet urbanisation. We had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful villa for 2 weeks in August. It had everything you needed for a home from home stay in the sun. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was a blessing for the hot nights. The outside area was beautifully kept with lots of greenery and flowers. The pool and surrounding area is amazing, great size and perfectly maintained. Local supermarkets provide everything you could need plus there's some good restaurants & bars close by. All communication with the owner was helpful, friendly and they were quick to respond. Very relaxing holiday. Overall we felt this villa had everything and more and would definitely return in the future.

You would be very welcome to return whenever it is convenient. Thank you for respecting the property during your stay. Regards G.
Lovely 2 week break in Xalo
By Paul and Cynthia on 15-May-2026First time at this villa but loved our stay with all requirements covered and a lovely sun trap patio. Off road parking and fair size swimming pool which was enjoyed most days.

Casa Joya, Jalon.
By Tony Eley. on 16-Dec-2024This was our second winter stay in Graham’s lovely villa. We spent six amazing weeks, from just before Christmas up to the end of January. The house is really very homely and cosy, for the cooler winter evenings there is an efficient central heating system, during the daytime we just opened the sun room doors and let the heat from there into the front room, which heated the place very nicely. Things that we look for in rental properties are comfortable beds and comfortable seating in the living room. Casa Joya doesn’t disappoint. The house is very well equipped, the kitchen has everything you could need and there is also a good selection of terrace furniture, chairs/sunbeds etc. The location of the house is fantastic, it has a commanding view over the Jalon Valley but is actually only a 2 minute drive or a 15 minute walk into Jalon town itself, where there are some really nice cafés, bars and restaurants. All in all a really great place to stay in a very interesting area of Spain.

superb accommodation
By christine gregory on 02-Oct-2023We have been visiting this area for 20 years and our last rental was for 5 years full time until Covid changed that. This was our first experience of a rental on an urbanisation. It is the cleanest, most comfortable place we have ever rented. Tastefully furnished with pleasing art works and well equipped. The villa is at the high point in the central part of the urbanisation so the views down the valley and towards the mountains were superb. This villa has the advantage of the swimming pool being on the same level as the main living area so no need to go down steps. One great advantage was the surprising quietness of the location. None of the barking dogs often found below in the campo area which can make sleep difficult. The neighbours were friendly and helpful. Graham responded quickly to any queries. The only slight downside was car parking. We have a medium sized car, low slung and found it hard to enter the gated area because of the camber. However, the road is very wide so parking outside was not at all difficult and Graham tells me he normally reverses in with a small car and I can see that would be easier. That shouldn't' put anyone off though because it does seem a secure, well lit area, We also saw the Guardia Civil driving around occasionally, showing a presence. The property itself is very secure with a good alarm system. We cannot recommend Casa Joya too highly and look forward to returning perhaps next year..

Christine, many thanks for your kind review and for taking the time and consideration to leave it. It is good to know that the joint services provided by cleaners, pool maintenance providers, gardeners and myself have been recognised and worthwhile. Your return will be welcome anytime Casa Joya is free. Thanks again. Graham
Great villa
By Stella on 03-Jul-2023We stayed here for two weeks this summer and loved this villa! It had everything we needed and more. Communication with the owner was very friendly with quick responses to any questions we had. Only a short drive to the local village and shops. 30 minute drive to Denia to go snorkelling in waters that were crystal clear. Calpe another short drive away. Fantastic villa and a great location. I would highly recommend.
