Villa Trencall Detached 3 bedroomed Home Private Pool, Tranquil Setting, Close to Sandy Beach Shops and Restaurants

Private Villa Pool Garden Large Terrace BBQ WIFI Cable TV Near Beach Restaurants

Our beautiful home is set in an exclusive part of Javea (Xabia) in a quiet setting in the Trencall pine forest area, but close enough to drive to the beautiful Xabia town, port and beaches.

Villa Trencall is tranquil and secluded with a tropical feel and a lovely breeze in the summer months and the trees and grass surrounding the house give us ample shade to keep it cool. Lovely to lay by the pool at night, with the pool lights on and stare at the stars. Great to sit by the bar enjoying a freshly made margherita, and all you can hear is the crickets.

The house has Wi-Fi, free local telephone and is very comfortably furnished, with a cream leather suite in the lounge, and Tosca stone archways, and wooden beam ceilings. There is central heating throughout and a log burning fire for the winter lets which give a cosy feeling to the whole house. The double aspect windows have mosquito blinds which allows you open the windows at night to feel the breeze coming though the house.

Cable TV is in the living room and a separate one in the dining room and main bedroom so you can watch different programmes.

The fully fitted kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble drier. It is separated from the dining room by a Tosca stone arch. The dining room has a table and chairs for 6 people, and high chair if needed. and a bespoke welsh dresser with lighting and a natural stone wall as a feature. Both the kitchen and dining room have ceiling fans. French windows from the dining room lead out onto the terrace and BBQ area, which is perfect for breakfast as it catches the morning sun.

The master bedroom is double aspect so very light and airy, and quite a self-contained area. There is a ceiling fan, mosquito blinds on the windows and large French doors, which open onto the front garden. There is a small wide screen TV with its own cable digibox separate from the rest of the house. There is a travel cot if needed.Leading off the bedroom is a dressing area with fitted wardrobe and an en suite bathroom with shower and separate bath.

The two other bedrooms each have 2 single beds, windows opening onto the front garden, fitted wardrobes, ceiling fans and mosquito blinds.

The bedrooms face each other and share a family bathroom with a corner bath, toilet and shower.

Outside there is an open air “Naya” ideal for “Al Fresco” dining, overlooking the floodlit pool, gardens and poolside bar with colonial ceiling fan, sink, mini fridge and built in seating. This is an ideal area to sit in the shade and relax with a cool drink. The well-established private garden has a pergola-covered terrace with wisteria, bougainvillea, and plumbago trailing over. There are a variety of Mediterranean plants such as hibiscus, palm trees, mimosa, oleander, jasmine, datura, and bougainvillea and fruit trees including fig, orange lime lemon pomegranite and plum trees. There are also a number of herbs near the BBQ area such as rosemary, thyme, sage, steviia, curry olant, chives, mint and some strawberies and chili peppers.

The private floodlit pool is 10x5 metres with mosaic-tiled steps leading down to the shallow end and metal steps at the deep end. It faces southwest and is bathed in sun throughout the day. The BBQ area, with a pergola covered with perfumed flowers, has lighting for dining after dark. It is also perfect for breakfast as it catches the morning sun. The bar with its subtle lighting, fridge and a colonial ceiling fan makes it an ideal place to have a cool cocktail before you go out for the evening. Or just stay at home and just enjoy sitting there overlooking the pool.

Javea has been described as the jewel of the Costa Blanca. It is midway, and an hour away from the international airports of Alicante and Valencia. Javea has a picturesque town up on a hill, which is the original medieval settlement. It features a fortified church, a stone built indoor market and narrow streets with typically Spanish houses. Above, there rises the impressive Sierra of Montgo. It shelters Javea from any winter winds. The World Health Organisation describes it as having one of the “healthiest climates in Europe”. Down in the port area, there is an interesting modern church, a luxurious marina and a splendid working fishing harbour which attracts both visitors and residents when the fishing boats are landing their catches. There is a small pebble beach directly in front of some interesting bars and restaurants. The main beach lies a short way to the south of the port and is most attractive, with a wide stretch of golden sand.

There are plenty of bars and restaurants running the length of the bay and families can be assured that they will cater for all tastes and pockets. In addition, for those with nightlife in mind and for those with teenagers there are several discos open in the summer months. Javea is not a high-rise resort and only has a sprinkling of hotels. There are also excellent facilities for sport: golf, tennis, go-karting, windsurfing, scuba diving, jet skiing and horse riding. Javea has two Fiestas each year- the first in June in Javea Town and the second in September in the port. Both include colourful processions, dancing, bull running and firework displays. Local industries produce goods, which can be purchased such as basketwork, ceramics of all kinds, furniture and wine. Within a short drive from Javea there are many delightful villages worth visiting as well as the larger resorts where you can enjoy the theme parks of Terra Mittica, Aqualandia, and safari parks of Vergel and Aitana.

This was my third visit to Trencall and the first with my family. Barbara and David maintain the property and grounds to a very high standard and is the perfect place to stay for a visit to Javea or the surrounding area. Our son had a perfect sleep every night in the travel cot which was supplied and also made use of the high chair. The property is suitable for everyone, couples and families alike as well as those who wish to visit Javea town frequently or to just enjoy the surroundings of the property. I am sure that we will be back again soon!

My Response
Adam Hi Thank you so much for your lovely review. It's so nice that now you have a young family of your own you have revisited Trencall and still enjoy it there. As you say it's suitable for all ages. Our children enjoyed the villa and Javea from 3 years of age and throughout their teenage years and now have their own family and still love it. Hope to hear from you again. Kind regards Barbara

A home from home that never fails to revive us all

By Beth on 17-Sep-2018

We have been visiting Villa Trencal for 12 years and we come back every year. It’s 2 weeks of pure relaxation; peaceful, clean, spacious and beautiful. Javea is great fun, hidden restaurants in the winding hills behind town, lively busy places on the arenal, loads of road trip possibilities. I never want to leave and have usually booked for the following year before we do leave. Thanks Barbara and David x

Wonderful place to holiday

By Kevin Mitchell on 02-Sep-2018

Date of Stay

The villa was excellent and peaceful but within easy reach of all beaches and towns. The pool was bigger than we had realised allowing for many fun days in the sun. Although our 6 year old struggled to stand up in the shallow end but she loved it ! A car is a must to get round and properly enjoy the area and all it has to offer. No air con could be a problem in the height of summer but the many fans help. Thoroughly recommend this villa to all including families.

My Response
Kevin Hi. Thank you for your lovely review. It does give a very realistic view of our home. I know what you mean about Air Con and we are seriously considering it but initially we are putting in Central Heating this Autumn as it can get very chilly in the winter. I am so delighted you all had such a good time and hope to see you back in Trencall some time. Kind regards Barbara & David

We are a family of 4, my husband, myself and two teenage boys and we had a lovely time staying in this villa. It's all about the outside space, the pool is just fantastic, you can actually do lengths in it!! My boys loved it and spent many hours having lots of fun in it. The garden is well established and beautifully kept, and the outside bar a real bonus. Sitting outside in the evening with all the lights on is just lovely. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you would need. The best Indian I have ever had is just down the road too - 'Everest Spice' I can thoroughly recommend it! Would definitely stay here again, hope to return soon. X

My Response
Thank you so much for your lovely review. I am so pleased you had such a great time. We love sitting by the outside bar as you don't need to go out, and then eating under the Naya overlooking the pool is super. I love gardening and we have had our gardeners for years so they really nurture it even when we aren't there and it can be so dry in the summer months. It is great to relax on loungers reading a book and still has lots of shade despite some of the pine trees having to be taken down but we have replanted with other trees. I agree the pool is great for doing lengths and our pool man is such a perfectionist its always spotless. So perfect for all ages but it definitely keeps youngsters occupied all day. Glad you liked the kitchen. Its so handy for the BBQ as right by it. The restaurants at each end of the road are also really handy as within walking distance and delighted that the food was so good at the Everest Spice. I will make sure we let everyone know as it used to be owned by different people. The Trencall at the other end of the road does great paellas. Really hope to hear from you in the future. Kind regards Barbara & David

Having returned from the villa 4 days ago, all I can say is wow! We already can't wait to go back, a week was not long enough. Patty was just leaving as we arrived and she spent a lot of time with us, showing us where everything was and how the alarm worked etc. The villa is the perfect place for a family holiday and has everything you could need and more. The weather was amazing, which meant we got a lot of use out of the pool and we spent most evenings sat outside having drinks. Thanks Barbara for all of the information provided prior to our visit too - very helpful. Highly recommended.

My Response
Alison Hi, Thank you so much for your great review, Patty was highly complimentary about you as well and you are always welcome to come back anytime.Sp pleased you enjoyed yourselves so much Thanks also for sending the keys back so promptly. Looking forward to hearing from you in the future. Kind regards Barbara & David

A very special place

This was our sixteenth visit to Barbara and David's villa which we regard as our home from home, it is a very special place to us. The villa is always clean and tidy on arrival and is well stocked with all the essentials and more. It is a place way you can relax fully around the pool and its well presented garden. The BBQ area and the outside bar are fantastic and are well used when we stay. The grounds are all on one level so the the place is user friendly for all family types. Javea is lovey with its three distinct areas, the sandy beach of the Arenal, the boats around the Port and the little streets around the Old Town are all littered with restaurants and bars so there is something for everyone. We fully recommend this special place to anyone, it would not take long for them to get hooked with the place. My daughter and her family are testament to that. Can't wait for the next visit to come round.

My Response
Gosh is it really 16 times? I am so pleased you have such a lovely time and thank you so much for keep coming back. Patty is always delighted when it is you two as the place is always left so spotlessly clean. Thank you. Javea is a very special place to so many people and I am delighted you choose to stay with us. I think this year the garden has benefited from a reasonable amount of rain in the spring, so the blossom has been outstanding and the grass is lovely and green. Really hope to see you again next year. Kind regards Barbara & David

What a beautiful home!

From first enquiry to the end of the holiday everything was fabulous. The villa was perfect, home from home. The outside space just lovely and a great place to relax. The pool was magnificent, it would have been nice if it was heated but that didn't stop the children splashing around. The villa is well equipped, although a slow cooker would have been useful. A beautiful, beautiful place in a wonderful location. Julie and family

My Response
Julie Hi, I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay at our home. We love it in Javea and spend many weeks with our family. The pool is chilly off season and even the sea has been cold this year but It's now heating up again and everywhere is looking great as they have had quite a bit of welcome rain so the blossom has been amazing. Thank you for looking after our villa so well It looked great when we arrived just after you. Hope to hear from you again Julie. Kind regards Barbara

Nice villa

By Mark Chapman on 30-Nov-2016

Date of Stay
19 Nov 2016

Stayed here for a week 19th - 26th November 2016, good parking, nice pool, good WiFi, well equipped and comfortable. It got cold at night but the numerous radiators and log burner kept us nice and warm, even electric blankets. Short distance to supermarkets, restaurants, Arenal and Javea. Villa is fully alarmed with safe so secure, area lovely and peaceful, kitchen is well equipped and outside BBQ area with plenty of areas to eat outside or inside. Barbara and her husband very helpful and always available and a comprehensive pack of information and directions sent prior to arrival.

My Response
Thank you so much for choosing our villa to stay at and delighted that you had such a lovely time. The area is full of great restaurants and shops and this time of the year it isnt so busy, but everywhere is still open which is good. Not sure if you used the pool but the sea is normally still warm. Mayte and Patty said you left the villa beautifully tidy which is great as its so nice to have people staying who look after the villa. Its our second home so we try and make it as cosy as possible. It does get chilly there in November but the days are often very sunny and clear skys but at least it doesnt get down to 0 degrees which is todays temperature here in Kent ! Hope to hear from you both some time in the future. You are both always very welcome. Kind regards Barbara & David

Second successful stay at Villa Trencall

By Paul & Jackie Viner on 22-Apr-2016

Date of Stay
20 Feb 2016

We stayed for 3 weeks in February/March having stayed once before with the whole family in July 2014. This time it was just the two of us enjoying some much needed Winter sun. As before, we found the villa to be perfect for us. The location is very convenient for the town but also lovely and peaceful. The garden is particularly attractive and private and as we were lucky with the weather we had plenty of time to sit out and enjoy it. The log fire was a real pleasure in the evenings. We had a lovely holiday and all communications with Barbara, and also Patty, ran very smoothly. Javea is just as lovely in the Winter - although it is quieter there was plenty going on and we found places that we hadn't seen before. Highly recommend.

My Response
Thank you so much for your review. It's really helpful for people to see that Javea is just as lovely in the winter, plus the benefit of the wintersun but quieter. Have to say I wish I was there now given the cold we still have over here. Hope to hear from you in the future. Kind regards Barbara & David

Lovely villa and we were able to sit out in the sun drenched garden even though it was January. The villa itself has everything you need including a lovely log burner for chilly evenings. The villa is in a great location and within easy reach of everything. Barbara was always on hand if needed to advise on restaurants and places to go. We would definitely recommend this lovely villa. Thank you for a lovely stay.

My Response
Vanessa Hi, I am so pleased you had such a good time at the villa and the weather was so good, especially for January. Also really glad you enjoyed all the restaurants we recommended. Great Holiday Villa

By Joanne M on 06-Jan-2016

Date of Stay

This was our second visit to Villa Trencall and it definitely won't be our last :) This time however we returned with our 1.5 year old daughter for a relaxing break and had just that. The villa was very clean, and the owners had put a new bar in since we were last there. It's kitted out with everything we needed for a small child, there is a high chair, food blender and the owners arranged for a travel cot to be there when we arrived. In the garden there are loads of shady spots to play on the grass and they have satellite which means you can also get cbeebies on the TV. The fact that it's a bungalow made life much easier with the pushchair, and for safety we could shut the reckers on the door to keep little one safe inside but still get a nice breeze through the villa. Being only 10 mins drive from the sandy beach is great as it has loads of climbing frames for the kids and the water is really shallow for a long way, which was ideal for introducing her to the sea. All the restaurants and bars are child friendly too and the town was still buzzy even in the off peek season. We found Javea a brilliant place to holiday with a young child. Oh and there is even a shop in the town that hires you a box of toys for the week so you don't need to pack many!

My Response
I am so delighted that you enjoyed you stay at our home, and thank you so much for your review. I think it will be very useful for people with young children to know that it is safe etc and we can supply most of peoples requirements. I had forgotten about the shop in the port which does the kiddies toys but must add that to my information as it's very useful to know. Kind regards Barbara and David

We had a lovely time! The house and especially the poolside is wonderful. The town of Javea is very lively. The nearby supermarket Saladar is highly recommended for the bakery and butchery. The nights were warm and balmy so be prepared for that :-) The hosts are very kind and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this place to other people.

My Response
Thank you so much for your lovely review Stephanie. We are over in Javea at the moment and the weather has just picked up again after some well needed rain. The grass definitely needed it so all is green in Javea again. I agree the Saladar is a really good little supermarket and open every day so very useful as just down the road and most other supermarkets are closed on a Sunday. Plus the meat counter is superb. Also the little restaurant next door does a great takeway paella if you don't want to cook or go out. Hope to hear from you again. Kind regards Barbara & David.

For those interested in Javea, Villa Trencall is a lovely place to stay. We are a family of five and the spacious villa exceeded all our expectations. It is a credit to Barbara and David as villa is very welcoming, very clean, has all the little extra's available (such as a stock of lighbulbs etc) to smooth out the holiday. It's in a very quiet area which is only a short drive to the nightlife on the beach. Barbara's administration of the whole process was faultless. If you are going to Javea, book this villa! Perfect Villa

We have just come back from our 4th visit to Villa Trencall and can honestly see ourselves coming back year after year for as long as Barbara allows us to! We love Javea: gorgeous beaches; lovely restaurants, lively, but not loud, atmosphere, and far enough away from Benidorm while still being accessible; but it is the villa that makes it special. For us it is the perfect place to escape from our busy lives. It has a lovely homely feel while at the same time having all mod cons (my son was particularly pleased to be able to watch the final day of the Premiership on Sky!!). We love the pool, the garden with lovely spots of shade, and the kids love working behind the "bar". The property is exactly as it is described and has always been in an immaculate condition when we arrive. Barbara and her team in Javea are superb and it is literally a no worry holiday. I think the best bit of feedback came from my 13 year old daughter (we were worried that she would be bored staying with us in a villa now at her age) when she said "I wish we could have had more villa days"...its a great place for a family to re-connect. We've already penciled in a date for next year. Peter & Margaret Giles

My Response
Peter and Margaret Hi. Thank you so much for your review. You are a fabulous family and always leave the villa spotless. Patty always comments on that. So pleased the kids are still enjoying staying there as well. Javea does seem to cater for all age groups. Our children are all grown up now but still stay with us every year and now we have a grand daughter of 2 who is growing up loving it at Trencall.Hope you have a lovely time next year as well and will be in touch shortly. Kind regards Barbara & David

a perfect family villa - this is clearly a very loved holiday home with all the mod cons of a beautiful family home in an ideal location - only 5 mins from the sea front but also very secluded and private - the garden and pool are stunning and in perfect condition - I would stay again - just lovely

My Response
Thank you so much for your lovely review and I am delighted you enjoyed your stay at Trencall. It is indeed private and secluded, but fortunately also only a short drive to the beach, town and port. If I can spend 2 weeks every summer in Trencall I am a happy woman all year round! It's a great family home, you know you are going to relax as soon as you open that side gate and see the pool and outside terrace and bar. We go as a party of 3 adults and 2 children and it is more than enough room for us, in fact we are spoilt for space there. It is quiet, 10 minutes drive from town and the beach. I'd say a car is necessary as you are out of town a bit, but the up-side of this is the seclusion and peace that you get up in the hills. Wish I was there now.......

My Response
Beth Hi. I am so pleased you had such a lovely time at Trencall again. I agree I wish I was there now, especially as it is so drizzly here in the UK. Kind regards Barbara
