Description

A 2 bedroom,1 bathroom,1 en suite shower, top floor luxury apartment with balcony. The balcony has sliding doors allowing the whole apartment to be opened up. There is a spacious living room and dining area to the front of the apartment with bedrooms and bathrooms to the rear. The property has a well maintained communal garden and swimming pool and the closest beach is less than a 2 minute walk away with direct access to the sea even closer. It is very peaceful and yet just a short walk to the centre of the old fishing village of L'Escala. There is private secure covered reserved car parking space available at a supplementary cost (recommended in high season.£50/60 euros per week).Whilst we accept bookings of less than a week (minimun 4 days) there is a supplementary charge of 5%. Also you are not tied necessarily Saturday to Saturday allowing you to take advantage of perhaps cheaper mid week flights.For stays of two weeks or more all linen and towels are changed weekly at no extra charge.Any extra cleaning however can be organised and paid direct to house keeping.
L'Escala has a wide array of shops, cafes, restaurants and bars as well as weekly fruit Market (centre) and clothes market etc. on a Sunday(promenade).Fresh bread and milk available every morning from one of many bakeries. Enjoy San Marti, medieval village, for outdoor dining; take the novelty bus- train (Like Thomas The Tank Engine) which runs regularly in the Summer. The journey takes in many beaches and passes the World Heritage site of Ampurias, Roman/Greek settlement and the location where Olympic Torch arrived on the Catalan coast. (see if you can spot the Landmark). Alternatively you can choose to walk, it is about 1500 metres.

Breakfast on the balcony,with a view of the sea,is the first highlight of the day

Wir haben mit zwei Personen einen wundervollen Urlaub in Escala We had a wonderful holiday for two people in L'Escala verbracht. Die Ferienwohnung ist einem sehr guten Zustand The apartment is in a very good location.Everything you need is Alles was benotigt wird ist vorhanden.Besonders zu erwahnen ist available.I make special mention of the superb position directly by die absolute Toplage direkt am Meer.Das Frunstuck auf dem the sea.Breakfast on the balcony, with a view of the sea, is the first Balkon mit dem direkten Blick auf das Meer ist schon das erste highlight of the day. Contact with owner Michael was always very Highlight das tage.Der Kontakt mit Michael was immer herzlich. helpful.We will definitely be back again. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Fantastic apartment in central location

We’ve just returned from a 2 week holiday in this apartment and we have loved every moment of it! The apartment itself is fantastic, very home from home. Everything was clean and we had change of towels & linen after a week. Everything was provided that you needed including beach & pool towels! The kitchen was fully equipped however we tended to eat out most of the time. Beds were so comfortable and had fans to keep cool at night. We loved the balcony and it’s amazing view! Was lovely to sit late at night and just hear the waves! Location is perfect, literally 5 minutes walk into the main part. Lots of restaurants & bars to chose from and lovely walks. You can walk to the local ruins and further along to the hamlet for lunch plus there are plenty of beaches to choose from. It is a long walk but so much to see that we didn’t mind or you can catch the bus/train if walking isn’t for you. There is a rocky beach in front of the apartment or sandy one by the main square, literally 5 mins walk. We loved this beach as popped into the restaurants for lunches & drinks or Spar for beach picnics! Amenities are great. There are lots of shops to buy bakery, fish, cheese or a Spar for everything else you need. There’s also a Mercadona about 15 minutes away on foot but we just used Spar. We took a boat trip to Cadaques which was beautiful, would recommend this (& the ruins!) Support from Michael was fantastic. I asked alot of questions and he promptly responded and only too pleased to help. We used his recommendations on places to visit & eat which made it even more enjoyable, thank you! Overall, a very relaxing and fantastic place. So much so, we’ve rebooked for next year! My Response Dear Lucy Thank you for taking the time to do such a comprehensive review.It is so flattering I could have written it myself. I often make the mistake of waxing lyrical about the place,to the point I feel I overdo it.The proof is in the pudding however,like yourself , from this year alone, 3 families have re-booked for 2019.There is no other location where you can enjoy peace and quiet, yet within minutes be shopping,eating out, swimming, visiting the markets or simply sunbathing in your own favourite spot.My favourite spot is the balcony with a book and a G and T and the view.
