The best of holidays at Finca Manolo!

Corrine October 2020 Within 5 mins of arriving at the finca we knew we would have a lovely stay. The finca was clean and very Spanish and well looked after. The kitchen facilities were great, bedrooms very comfortable and the whole place had a lovely feel to it, not like a usual holiday let. The pool and outdoor spaces were brilliant, areas for sun and shade and having the roof terrace was a plus to star gaze at night. All around there were stunning views and plenty of peace and quiet (altho we enjoyed the braying of donkeys in the valley!) Sue and Trevor were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Excellent hosts! We loved popping into Colemenar for supplies and coffee at Balens! It really is a heavenly place with many places to visit locally or beyond or simply chill by the pool and cook wonderful BBQ at the outside kitchen in the evening as the sun goes down! Heel gezellig ingericht warm welkom met iets lekkers en een flesje wijn. Prachtig uitzicht leuke zitjes en mooi zwembad. We hadden het geluk dat we prachtig weer hadden en iedere morgen heerlijk buiten konden ontbijten. Zeker een aanrader om daar de vakantie door te brengen temeer omdat de weg er naar toe prima te rijden is. Martyn and Andrea July 2019 Martyn and Andrea rated this home 5/5 Returning again for the 5th time in 3 years to the wonderful properties offered by Sue, Trevor and family set in the beautiful countryside, in the mountains above Malaga with stunning views of Comares, I can certainly say we will be booking again. If you cherish peace and quiet for ultimate relaxation with outstanding facilities at the properties for all the family, which offer fantastic value for money, then this is the place to head for. Although you feel like the world can pass you by, and its so quiet you could hear a pin drop, you are just minutes away from the wonderful Spanish villages of Colmenar, Riogordo and Benamargosa whilst a short trip on deserted highways would take you to the Mediterranean highway, Velez Malaga, Nerja and beyond, to mention but a few. This is the perfect base to explore Andalucia and beyond, and only a short journey from Malaga and the airport. Sue, Trevor and family are the perfect hosts and the properties are maintained to the highest standard whilst maintaining the charm and allure of traditional Spanish culture. Long hot days in the sun, and alfresco dining on the barbecue are quenched with Rueda Verdejo, a dip in the crystal clear pool and always topped off with an hour in the hot tub in the evening. A meticulous file of information ensures you have all the local information to hand, however these wonderful hosts are only a phone call, text, or e-mail away, should you feel the need for any assistance. I feel like I have said too much (selfishly I would want to keep it a secret), as we cherish our time at the Finca, and will continue to book with our new friends in Spain for years to come hopefully :-) Thank you Sue, Trevor and family for the unspoiled wonderful times we have enjoyed at the Finca, and hope to see you again in the autumn. We went primarily for wildlife plus sun and relaxation, and we found everything we wanted. The farmhouse is typically Spanish, very comfortable, the pool is huge, the views from the many places to sit and relax were stunning. The local area has nice restaurants, there's a very friendly bar walking distance away, the white villages are beautiful, especially Comares. The nearby natural park is wonderful for walking. This review is in Danish Rigtig dejligt hus i et flot område. Lækker pool. Huset har alt hvad der er behov for og er rigtig hyggelig i finca stil. Vejen dertil er en lille bjergvej, så ingen højdeskræk. Julie July 2016 Julie and family rated this home 5/5 I cannot say enough about this property. Total seclusion in a beautiful setting. The Finca is full of beautiful items reflecting the real Spain and is literally home from home. We had an amazing week just sitting around in the sun and spending quality family time. The pool is fantastic as are all the little shaded areas if you get too hot. I've been twice now and I'm looking forward to my third visit already. Sue made sure we were settled and happy which made our stay even better. My kids are very picky and they loved this place. If you want a quiet relaxing holiday then visit Finca Manolo.
